We were served by nice people checking in and throughout our 4 day stay. The studio room was nice and large and great to have a separate kitchen. But it's tired and needs makeover; not enough sockets in the kitchen for the 3 appliances they provide, shaver plug only in bathroom, spa didnt have bubbles jet. Needs a makeover really.

Nice and tidy. Quiet and peaceful. Thank you for a great stay. Cut shorter than expected but we enjoyed our stay.

Motel looks nice from outside but once you go in & have a proper look around you see how run down the studios actually are. Main room lovely but once you go through to the kitchen & spa area it is quite run down with cupboard doors not shutting & lot's of mould around the spa. A little bit of love would make the a world of difference.

This motel is so horrible! Wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE. “Foreign” staff are rude. Can’t get any refunds whatsoever. Rooms are old. Beds and pillows are hard. Room stinks of sulphur all night. Malone’s can suck a fat one.

I booked a 4 star hotel but should have less than 3. Is clean, but the structure is quite old. Is ok to sleep one/two nights if you don't expect too much. The staff was nice and helpful.

The BEST cleaning crew, replaced everything, clean unit throughout. Spa was great, price was good as the discount on Trivago. On a side note when booking, credit card payment gets taken out before you arrive. Would suggest to management payment on arrival option. Highly recommend Malones Motel. residents.

Worst place ever! I made the mistake of paying for 2 nights without viewing the room. We took around 50minutes to realise as a family that we couldn't stay there… Why? Cockroaches, stinky bed linen, broken heater, broken window locks. Just to mention the worst. I asked for a refund and was given 2 options: the room next door or leave and receive a refund only for the next day I. E. 50% refund. Of course we left. The guy was sooo rude, refused the refund without even caring about the reason why. Maybe he lives in squalor by choice. Never stay here.

I thought this place was great but not till you leave and get accused of Steeling do not come here.

Good place. We stay 3nights. The host are very nice and helpfull and give a lot of voucher for our activites.

Rooms were lovely and clean, the spa bath was great too! The heater worked a treat as it was quite cold when we were in rotorua! Lovely staff also.

Place is obviously an older establishment and there's a little wear and tear in the rooms, but the one we stayed in was extremely neat and tidy, beds were comfortable, sheets were beautiful and the facilities were up to a good standard. Very close to amenities and fast food places, ample and roomy parking. Personal hot tub was amazing. Reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again.

Room needs a little TLC but otherwise meets all expectations, plenty of light. For me the bed was far too soft and like a trampoline — but each to their own. My only gripe would be that the electric blanket had one remote which means both sides either had to have it on or off — hard when one likes and one doesn't. Really liked the set up — spa bath was super, water needed to be hotte. Hosts were super nice — even gave a small bottle of milk not just those silly little container thingies. And then a lovely touch when we left — a box of chocolates — highly recommend this place, great location good parking.

Enjoyed our stay at Malones. Didnt book just turned up. Due to being double booked by another motel. Owner was very helpful in a stressful situation and easily accomadated our family of 5 for 2 nights. Would definately recommend the family spa pool units, will be going back.
