Great place to stay! The breakfast is really good with heaps of different options. They knew we were traveling with a baby and even though I didn't request a cot (was traveling with a Portacot), they had put a cot in our room set up with cute sheets and duvet, baby pillow etc, was really lovely. So we got to use their cot instead of having to set up our own which was great. Highly recommend staying here, they go above and beyond what is required.

Great service from reception, dining and room service. I've stayed here on and off for over 15 years, it's consistently good. Good range of nice food. Recently redecorated. Comfortable beds with a wide selection of pillows. New TVs. Big, deep enamel baths. Centred around an attractive garden.

Place was recently renovated and the room was awesome. We had the breakfast buffet and ask if the food was outstanding! Would definitely stay there again. We took the yellow shuttle bus to get the and that was really easy. The pool looked really nice but we didn't have time to swim in it.

A very nice place, typical of the chain. The exterior and hallways are a little rough and dated, but that does not reflect the rooms or public spaces. My room was clean, fresh and well modernized. The public areas are very clean and attractive. The complimentary breakfast is complete with everything you could want. Definitely go again.

This hotel is very much what you would expect: a good mid-range airport hotel. It was close to the airport and easy to find but reasonably quiet. (We weren't bothered by jet takeoff/landing or highway noise. ) They had no problems accommodating a late check-in. Their breakfast had a decent selection, including fresh fruit, and was well-staffed. (They also had adequate table space, even when busy. ) The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we had no trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi. We would stay here again.

Good hotel to stay in prior to next day flight. Rooms clean and functional. Would be good to have power points at bedside to charge phone. Staff very friendly. Restaurant food not very nice though.

Welcome respite after a long flight. Room was good. Big enough for two adults and two babies. Hotel accommodated all cot requirements. Check in was made easy by friendly and efficient staff. Thus was great as we were all very tired. We used the yellow bus to get to and from the terminals. Handy that there is an easy way to do this. Even with loads of bags. Highlight was breakfast. A beautiful sunny room and a decent buffet style set up. Eggs to order and as much coffee as I could drink. Perfect for a weary travelling Dad.

I had a terrible experience here a year ago, however, the entire place has vastly improved. The rooms are conformable and the staff is fantastic. The restaurant could use improvement. They're on the right track, they just need to up their game. Not a bad option to stay here.

I was given a day room here by NZ Air to compensate for a 12 hour layover while flying from Perth Edmonton. This would have been a better rating but: I was given a voucher which specified the airline would cover my lunch, and the hotel concierge decided to limit this to $30 and food only. This was enough to order food but I had to pay for my soda. It was a minor inconvenience but it seemed petty on their part. There was also no chair outside of the suite like the others around it, so I could not sit outside at my room. The dining area staff however were incredibly nice. I was very grateful that the airline gave me this to ease the long trip home but it is very unlikely I would consider staying here when I do spend some time in Auckland. It is worth noting that within a few hours of being home, I got bad food poisoning that would have had to be from here or the airplane food… Can't say for sure which.

Good location to the airport with great rooms and food. Highly recommend the breakfast as it was excellent food. Good service and the room was very clean and well presented.

My flight was cancelled and I stayed here, they were very accommodating and I had a lovely meal and was allowed to stay rill my flight was due to leave in the afternoon… Thank you!

The motel appears nice from the facade. Staff are nice enough and rooms are ok. The picture on theTV shook continuously and staff could not fix it. Food in the restaurant was not good at all. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure was not good. Overall experience was just ok. It's not the worst place I have stayed at but there is definitely room for improvement. The location is good if you want to be close to the airport but there is no choice available close by to buy decent food.

Our flight connecting from Queenstown to Fiji got stopped short in Auckland for a layover. We were in the middle of our honeymoon and had to beg the airline to get a room for the night. Even though the hotel doesn’t have the best facilities (quite overdue for an upgrade) the staff is incredibly hospitable and the most kind-hearted! My wife and I’d like to especially thank the Holiday Inn restaurant staff for making our short stop a little more enjoyable with the bottle of bubbly. It was truly a generous gesture and one we will never forget!

This hotel was in a great location for the airport, close to the motorway to the airport. The room was clean and a good size with a King size bed. Very comfortable.

Hotel is very close to the airport but far from downtown, where you may want to spend the most of the time during the stay. The swimming pool was on the smaller size. Also it isnt heated. Rooms are clean and of his size. The kids arena was interesting eith air hockey. Video games. Table tennis. Overall a good place to stay if you don't mind the distance to downtown.

Stayed here at Air NZ's expense due to issues with flights. Room was pretty good but the people in the room next door where having a party which could be heard quite easily through the walls. The location is not the best but alright if you don't intend on going out anywhere. Buffet food was on the dry side.

Good location close to the airport. A bit dated but currently undergoing renovations. Clean tidy rooms.

Room was nice, need comfy, breakfast options pretty good too. My only complaint is the bathroom fan rubs all night and even with the door closed it's quite loud.

Excellent bed and breakfast.

The place was nice and had some nice activities to do. The room service was good and the cafe and food was excellent. However the hotel didn't do much about drunk people, there was at least 15 drunk men walking around the hotel when I was there.

I have stayed here twice and each time I enjoyed the stay. The rooms were big and clean. When I asked for an extra bed they promptly moved the extra bed to my room. The garden surrounded by the rooms was very nice giving a sense of tranquility to the place. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant was good. So was the dinner buffet. I also like the fact that you can take a shuttle to and from the airport. There are also little touches to help travellers, such as having a scale by the entry to weigh your luggage. The only issue I have is that the Wi-Fi signal at my room was rather weak and my connection was sporadic.

Got stuck here entransit after a canceled flight, 10 hours traveling to end up in this dingy dated place. Food was appalling! However room was clean and comfortable and staff are friendly but overall a 2 star experience. I think Air NZ could do a little better for their customers!

Old but being refurbished. Very attentive staff. Old time features such as garden rooms, bath etc. I would definitely come back here.

Excellence in the midst of renovations My children and I transferred out of prepaid $250/night accommodation that simply didn't suit our needs for a variety of reasons (note: this was agent booked so I had no idea what we were going into). We had previously stayed at HI in Rotorua and loved it there. I read a few reviews on TripAdvisor of HI in Auckland and was nervous. However, was so pleased we decided to make the switch. Free parking, my daughter being under 12 ate for free (thank you :) ), unlimited Wi-Fi (perfect for teens), handy to the motorway and of course the airport for our departure. Reception kindly offered us an extra early check in because we were checking out of our other accommodation two days early and, they gave us an extended check out because our flights weren't until 10pm. The room was clean and a good size. Staff were incredibly accommodating, very professional and made our stay highly enjoyable. Yes renovations were going on but it was done quietly and without disruption to guests. I love the various artist impressions of the new look — hopefully I'll get back someday to check it out in person. Some might read this review and be astonished we spent extra on our accommodation but it was well worth it.

Clean hotel room with helpful and friendly staff. Food in the evening was good and option size was good. Would have no hesitation staying again.

The big surprise for me was the food. I ordered room service and picked the caeser salad with the sirloin for the main. Absolutely delicious. Best caeser I've ever had & the steak was cooked to perfection. Big portions too. They have a good wine selection and you can buy a bottle from the cellar and take it back to your room. And the staff were friendly and very attentive. Not bad for a reasonably priced 4 star hotel. Compliments to the chef. I'll be back.

Little dated, but looks like they are starting a massive renovation in stages. Breakfast is amazing, make sure you don't skip it. Rooms are clean and tidy and suitable for a night or two.

Really nice hotel. Only comment would be beds are a little small and we wished there was a heavier blanket on the beds. The buffet area is great — impressive dining options and a bar!

Yes it can only do you want to use it for your work or you have to get the app for your work and you have any more online work for the day you will try and make your order for you free time for a while later if your looking into your email account to see you at work later on Friday and later today if your going back on Monday afternoon to do it again and again I have no problem sorry said you were my baby you can make sure that I have to work with the people of my family you have a good for your business she says yes please and thanks you have been the great you are in a very happy for you next time she was in your work room with you to see your family she is your daughter your way to your house said you can look as she can you have the right one ☝️ for your house or your mother you are only just one ☝️ you are a lady who you have the right one ☝️ to your name for a lady that is your niece in order some for your house or your mother to your name is your name or not your name will not have any of you on it but I think should not make any new look in your house is that one ☝️ is that she should not just put a name to her and the property. (Full stop end of sentence). Thanks and thanks you have been a lot easier than she was on your phone she is your aunt you have been able for the next couple weeks you will try and get the work out said you can see her on Saturday night with your new name on display.

It is a good place to be when you need a night when transiting in Auckland airport. Very quiet although a bus ride is required. Got an upgrade for being a Spire member of IHG group. Highly appreciated. Suggest travellers with heavy luggage requesting ground floor in advance due to no lift in the building.

We had to stay here as our flight was canceled. The staff are friendly and the room was nice and quiet.

The most note worthy is the service and friendly staff. Newspaper, coffee, great breakfast (pricy but very well presented and fully stocked right to the end) for the price you pay for accommodation the dated hallways and buildings is understandable. But my room was new, fresh, clean and large. I am starting here for every future trip. Security was also good for my car.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed our meal with an excellent local wine selection. A small disappointment was that the rooms are not as soundproof as would be ideal.

I had made reservations for my son to stay at the Holiday Inn and his feedback regarding his stay there was overwhelmingly awesome! The staff were professional and friendly, the room was very clean and flash. He also had used the gym and was impressed with his overall stay. Shuttle transport to and from the airport was brilliant with no hassles. Will definitely be making future reservations with you and recommendations to family and friends.

Best for an overnight stay just after a long journey. Nothing special about the place. The mattress is a bit too soft if you are particular.

Good place to stay overnight waiting for a flight. Extremely friendly and professional staff make the stay really enjoyable. Great facilities with a restaurant and good breakfast.

Had breakfast and dinner here its a nice enough place to dine buffet style, good for team meetings and such, the food was nice aside from the raw fish which was utterly tasteless, there is a lot of variety which is always a bonus and the staff are pleasant, atmosphere is busy but enjoyable, I would revisit if I wanted something close to home.

Bar shuts at 10 on Friday night.

Room was nice and clean. Food however. Buffet menu was either cold or had been left in the heater for at least an hour. So. I ordered something from the menu for $26 thinking they would take more pride in those meals. I was wrong. Not a good stay. Thanks Air New Zealand.

Lovely staff very efficient.

Not quite as nice as the photos suggest, but clean, comfy and the porter lady was great. I agree the front desk need a lesson in charm and graciousness. A bit of eye contact wouldn't hurt either.

Great Restaurant and bar staff! Will help you in a New York second but the front desk need to learn more about there area and need to be more polite.
