A lovely hostel/hotel in downtown Rotterdam. Only a short walk from Rotterdam Centraal station. I stayed in one of the pods. It was warm, comfortable and clean. I had one of the best nights of sleep I had enjoyed in a while.
Also, the following morning, the staff were marvellous — they allowed me to stay a bit later, have a coffee and charge up my phone. They were chatty, and friendly, and made me feel really welcome.
It's a budget-friendly place for solo travellers — the pods are a good cross between a private room and a dorm. I'd stay there again.

Hostel Cooldocks in Rotterdam is seriously underrated. The hostel is clean, well organised, and has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The beds are comfortable, the facilities are well maintained, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. For the location and price, this place is a great deal and deserves way more recognition.

We especially loved how close the hostel is to Rotterdam city center. Visiting the museums was a highlight for us, and being able to walk there so easily made the trip even better.
Tip: If you’re planning to visit the museusm, go earlier in the day.
Would happily stay here again and recommend it to couples and solo travelers!

I luvved the stay, really positive on the staff. They helped me a lot with some recommendations. Showers and toilets were basic but clean, what I find most important. Near the reception there was a common space. Some people played cards. They have an elevator, but you need to do the first few stairs first (street to reception). No complaints, just good sleep.

It is a nice hostel with various types of rooms from family to female only rooms. I stayed in the pods. Good value for price, especially with walking distance to station (10 min), and in the middle of downtown center. I met some nice people in the lounge, where you can eat together. They could do some more on decoration, but the price location and service is already 5 stars.

I went there with friends, we booked each our own pod. At the reception they put us together! Really friendly staff. It is a brand new place. Clean and next to subway, already in down town.

It’s underrated hostel. It was clean and staffs were nice. I think that shower facility would be better but what I expected is just clean. And it did it. Capsule slot was very comfortable, it’s 100% better than other hostels. Price was really cheap, but one of the best hostel where I used.

I travel a lot due to the nature of my work (currently in the Netherlands for a research project) and this is the worst experience I have had so far: rude, disrespectful, self-absorbed, and unprofessional staff. I tried to do a self check-in in the morning after sending them my personal information but I never received a code. Then I went there and waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes so that I could do the check-in requirements (I understand that the check-in time was at 3 p. M. And I needed to wait, that is not an issue). Just right before 3 p. M. The staff (including the manager! ) went downstairs and started talking to each other, leaving me waiting at the reception desk! If I hadn't called them upstairs after almost ten minutes, they would have continued their conversation leaving me waiting there for a longer time. Even after I called them upstairs to check my documents and give me the keys so that I could finally go to my room and take rest, and after I told them it was unprofessional to keep the customers waiting at the reception while they are talking downstairs, the manager (! ) shouted "we were talking about work and you waited only for a few minutes. " That was enough for me to know how rude and unprofessional they were. So I cancelled my booking for free and immediately went to another place. Please know that you have many options in Rotterdam and you deserve better than a place like that!
