I spent almost a week at the hotel with my friends and have to say that everyone treated us great up until our second night when we were on the terrace by ourselves and noticed that lots of MICE were coming out. They were so many that we managed to film them and when we pointed out to the barman (Salam) he only joked about it. We took matters to the receptionist and she said she will forward it to the manager. The hotel manager never apologised or even tried to talk to us, however we saw the bar manger that also laughed about it. I told them about my concerns for the food safety however their response was that the mice don’t go inside the hotel (to which I had to ask sarcastically if the mice are trained to stay out). From that moment we became pariahs and that barman refused to prepare cocktails for us one evening, one other evening we were told that the terrace is closed for an event that actually took place a few days later, we were told that we can’t pay contactless with our phone (but when the barman from our first day came back that was possible again). My friend ordered pita bread and dips one day, however she got the bread wit 4 totally different dips. She asked if that was a mistake but was told the the menu is informative (no apology, no remorse). Overall I felt that we were being targeted because we had the audacity to complain and part of the staff made sure to show their annoyance.

Went for a long weekend and the hotel the staff was amazing, rooms are a great size, it’s quite and very clean. A 3 minute walk to the train and you can get everywhere.

Had a great time here from start to finish the staff couldn't do enough very friendly. Metro station very close within mins takes u into the centre 15-20min away metros r every 5min. Gina was brilliant I'd pmd her before r arrival & she had balloons anol in the room with goodies. Beds where super comfy. 24hr shop for anything u need pizzas sandwiches crisps choc etc. Will def be back.

We had a double room at this fabulous hotel the last week end in November. Spotlessly clean. Modern & every convenience is at hand. Comfortable sleek rooms. The bar & restaurant are beautiful & the food is really good. Lots of choices & plentiful. The staff are so friendly & helpful. Nothing is to much trouble. Transport links are really good from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again in the future would thoroughly recommend.

The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was very good. The hotel is in a good location just a few minutes walk to the Metro station. We would recommend this hotel.

Lovely clean place and a great stay only eclipsed by some very noisy, unpleasant women in a room opposite us that woke us up several times. Everything else was fabulous.

Lovely hotel, clean, friendly staff, great breakfast. Approx 20 minutes by tram (3 minute walk) to city.

Spa, sauna, and pool were really wonderful. Overall a great experience and will certainly be back!

Nice comfortable beds, some reception staff not helpful 3 reception male staff were. There was no hand wash in our toilet or body wash in shower. Reported it 3 times on the 3rd time the night porter give me some hand wash only 2 coffee sachets left in room every day I had to ask for more I was there 5 nights.

I recommend this Hotel because of it's calm and quiet environment. Staff is helpful. Rooms are nice and clean. Tram and Bus stop is nearby.

Just got home from a 3 night trip to Amsterdam could not fault the hotel at all. Lovely staff who are willing to help you, fantastic fertilities like the spa. The room was clean and spacious. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough you can get on the metro into the centre easily and in a short space of time. Would definitely recommend.

Really good place to stay. Clean and tidy rooms. Staff are nice and their English was good. Highly recommended if your going to Amsterdam and don't want to pay outlandish prices. They also offer a free airport shuttle and for me €7.50 a bus to and from Amsterdam.

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIRᴀven. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! The staff were kind, helping and understanding. Rooms were clean, had a/c and soundproof. The restaurant was better than expected. Food was great, especially the steaks, best steaks I've ever had!

Hotel is beautiful and modern. Hotel staff are very rude and unfriendly, and act as though simple requests are impossible. Asked for the tea tray to be replaced as the one in the room hadn't been changed. Waited 40 minutes to then have paper cups stuffed with sugar and coffee however no breakfast tea is offered. I called down to request English breakfast tea and was told I'd need to come and get it from the restaurant and they wouldn't offer it as part of the tea available for the room. Earlier in the day I was refused a spoon to take to my room despite the fact that I'm paying for a room in the hotel. When my friend asked for a cup of tea and was told no breakfast tea was available and it would have to be earl grey. When pressed further the waiter huffily went away and returned with a box full of not only English breakfast but many other varieties of tea that weren't offered. The waiters have been actively difficult and very unwilling to provide options or solutions to our needs at every opportunity. Customer service seems to be put aside.

This was a very nice hotel. It was clean and was modern. It was nice to be so close to the airport but there is really nothing to do.

Reception were very helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Located resonably close to the airport, I do not know how far from Central Amsterdam, but there was rail transport close by. Excellent restaurant with friendly staff.

Really nice room, moderate service. Had to tell staff to clean the mini-bar twice before it was emptied. It was stuffed with bad food.

Price performance ok. Not very clean.

Good hotel. It is removed from City center but not much. Easily accessible by two metro/light rail stations. You can catch the 50 or the 2 straight to museums, etc. It has a decent restaurant. Not a ton of other food unless you take the 2 to Heemstedestraat or a similar station. Nice gym, albeit small. Would stay again.

We felt very comfortable here. Clean and modern rooms and it was quiet. Located just outside, the view was not so great (construction site in front of the hotel)

Location is quite close to a bus stop, tram station and the metro, from there it is 20min to the city center. Rooms are modern and clean. The price — performance fits.

Nice hotel with really good room for it's price. 20 min. To Amsterdam center by tram and 30 to the airport. Good wellness center in basement. Only thing what disappointed is price for refreshments in lobby bazaar. It may be 3 times more than in nearest food store.

Hotel is not really clean. Room service is a disaster. The bed sheet is torn and has not been replaced after a complaint.

English, Dutch and partly German are spoken at the reception. Checkin and checkout went really fast.

Although the hotel was pleasant overall, there were a few issues we had during our stay. 1. The front desk staff is cold and they were the least friendly people we encountered in all of our trip to Amsterdam and Paris. 2. You have to pay to swim in their pool. 3. Although there are a plethora of options for breakfast, none of it is very good. 4. The bathroom smelled of mildew and the toilet scrub has hair and poop on it (yikes) What made me give it 4 stars is: 1. It's a very close walk to a trolly that takes you into town, and stops by the museums. 2. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. Especially the two men who worked in the Bazaar. 3. The room was awesome and comfortable, with floor to ceiling windows and, other than the bathroom a very clean room. 4. We payed something like $70 a night (late December deal). I don't think you could get anything better for that rate.

Very nice, the prices for food and extras (pool, spa, massages, …) are a bit expensive but otherwise, very satisfied.

Great hotel, Nice breakfast The "Bazaar" is a very good idea when you want to eat without going outside or at the hotel restaurant. Only downside is the meal that does not change from day to day at the restaurant, except mistake on my part:)

The reception was very nice, the rooms modern and the breakfast delicious!
However, you cannot speak of a clean room here. In bed we found black hair, also in the bathroom. The bathroom is highly scaled and anything but clean. Unfortunately, none of our requests have been made to clean the bathroom thoroughly.
Great pity, next time we would choose another hotel.

Great hotel. Clean, cozy and very tasty food.

Absolutely recommended. Everything worked wonderfully, from getting to the airport, to checking in to checking out, there was absolutely nothing objectionable. The rooms are very modern and have everything necessary to offer and beyond (safe, minibar, smart TV including many German channels, W-Lan, bathtub …). As a small shortcoming, you might be able to see the situation. This is not directly in the city centre, but you can quickly get to the centre by tram, which stops about 200m from the hotel (10 — 20 minutes, depending on the destination). Breakfast is adequate and delicious. There were both warm and cold spokes. There is also a freely accessible gym with different dumbbell variations, power — and cardio equipment. The hotel also has a spa area and a restaurant, which has not been used and are therefore not taken into account in my evaluation. I can only recommend the hotel!

Amsterdam! I learned to like it. The hotel is conveniently located just outside. The advantage is who speaks English.

This hotel is great. We were there for a week for two. The images are exactly as described. Spa has not been used, but it will certainly not disappoint. Rooms were very clean. Staff were very nice. Quality of food is great. Breakfast is very rich but also balanced. There is a large breakfast buffet with many specialities from the Netherlands. Freshly squeezed orange juice rich fruit and you can have it prepared from 7:30hr omelette, which by the way tastes great. You can look into the kitchen, which also meets the hygienic requirements. We really liked it. We will definitely come back. For a week definitely and also highly recommended for a long time. You can smoke next to the hotel and there is a bazaar, which has 24 hours on where you can get small snacks but also drinks.

Nice rooms and warm friendly staff only the food and to improve a bit but the rest all right.

Very nice and elegant hotel. Very good breakfast: You can also order your cooked egg the way you want. Water is offered In the room. Only downside is that the Spa you pay ☹

The bottom of shower door was dirty as well as the toilet scrubber was hairy and had pee and poop on it. The breakfast was delicious for a cost of €15 each person and the staff came off a tiny bit snobbish.

Went there for a high tea which I got through Groupon. The food was pretty mediocre: very simple white buns with egg salad, cheese and tuna salad, different cakes and Turkish sweets. The scones were pretty good, and so was the small soup. The selection of tea is nice, the service and staff were excellent. The lobby and restaurant are well kept and decorated. A safe option for both a casual and a formal visit.

Good hotel, far away from the city center, has a good restaurant, plus a spa.

I managed to get a room here last minute after my flight was cancelled in the evening and was very satisfied. Check in was simple via computers in the lobby and staff there were friendly to help you out. Rooms were compact yet well equipped and enough for a short stay.

The rooms themselves were nice, clean and modern. However, we had booked a triple room under the assumption that the room would be wheelchair accessible, and we had rang prior to booking to ensure this was the case. Upon arrival (at around 11:30pm), we discovered the triple room was not in fact wheelchair accessible. As it is essential the room is accessible, we asked if there was one available which there was, however it was only a room for 2 people (there were three of us) so they said we had to book another room and pay for the extra room. Given the fact that the only reason we had to pay for an extra room was due to my friends disability, I was appalled that this blatant disability discrimination could happen at a large corporate hotel. We paid for the extra room as we simply had no choice. Every other hotel I've been to in the past had either had an accessible room for our whole party, or if not, in this circumstance provided a room with no extra charge as it isn't our fault that they didn't have an accessible triple room at that time. The accessible room we did get didn't even have a sit down shower chair, and when I went downstairs to inform reception and request a chair to use, they sent someone up to confirm this (I can't imagine why they didn't believe me, it's an odd thing to lie about) and we didn't get a chair for around an hour after asking.

As the Dutch, really formal and impersonal staff. The workers are not really the smiling kind but they solve your problems. The hotel itself is super nice. Great accommodation and a really nice breakfast.

In view of the year of construction (about 2015), the hotel is of course very modern. The rooms are very chic and are enhanced even more by the large floor-to-ceiling windows. Unfortunately, I myself had a room on the second floor with a direct view of a building, but with rooms that have been placed above, the view is likely to be very tempting. In mine, unfortunately, less so. Breakfast couldn't have been better. I can't think of any suggestions for improvement on this. However, I also found this bad for hotel guests, who already have to pay for the rather higher-quality hotel to pay for the parking lot in full. I found this inappropriate, but seems to be common in the surrounding area. Parking costs are 15 — about €25am per day (depending on the day of the week). I was at the hotel for an overnight stay and had to pay £2300. This should be taken into account, especially in the case of a longer stay. Otherwise really a nice hotel, also well suited for business travel.

It's a bit outside of the city centre, but with the tram it'll take you about 15 — 20 minutest to the centre of Amsterdam. The tram, tram 2, has been called one of the most beautiful tram rides in the world, so it's actually not so bad. The rooms were okay, the pool and spa absolutely amazing. The housekeeping left a bit to be desired, and the area surrounding the hotel is very dull without any nearby restaurants.

Great hotel with good amneties. Easily accessible by Metro and bus within short walking distance. Would give 4* for cleanliness and breakfast buffet was superb! A short stop away from a nice Thai cuisine and supermarkets. Would definitely come back here for sure!

I don't usually leave reviews (as I often forget! ) however I felt I had to after reading a few negative reviews on here. I noticed people marking the hotel down for rude staff and unclean rooms. I have been to this hotel 2 times (and I'm going back in 2 days again) and I have only ever been extremely happy with the service. I find the rooms to be extremely clean and modern. I have been to Amsterdam 6 times and I have stayed in some bad hotels! Trust me, this is exceptional! That's why I keep returning. The only bad thing was when my booking was mistakenly overlooked and I didn't receive my confirmation. The customer service manager was very apologetic and assured me that my booking was placed. This is human error. That happens in life. It's a very clean hotel, the staff are very friendly, the location is convenient, the restaurant and spa are lovely and there is a tram and train station very close by. I love this hotel and I'm excited to stay again in 2 days :) I recommend this hotel when my friends or colleagues tell me they are thinking about staying in Amsterdam.

Very good and comfortable. It is 20 — 25 minutes on the tram to the city centre it might be best if you get a travel card if you will be going there mostly. Did not use the spa so can't comment on that but you have to pay but the gym is free.

Booked a double room and was given a twin with the beds pushed together. When I asked to change rooms they said no doubles are available. But they did upgrade my room to one with a queen bed, so were very accommodating. Just would prefer the get the room I actually booked. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English. Breakfast was a buffet and the food was decent. Relatively well priced at 15 eur.

Amazing, amazing place, I will stay there again next time I go to Amsterdam, the staff is super nice, the premises are beautiful and the rooms are small but is just what we needed. The prices are affordable too and I loved their breakfast, it had a lot of options and it was delicious.

Almost spot on. A tad to far out from the city centre but this didn't spoil our few days. The tram stop was just a 5 minute walk round the corner. The hotel was very clean and modern. I would certainly stay here again.

My room was nice and tidy. Not massively big, but good enough for me as I was in Amsterdam on business. The restaurant on the ground floor served great food; however I felt the menu didn't have as many options. Also, the service is very slow! The wait time for dinner was about 45 minutes, while the wait time I experienced for lunch with my colleague was well over an hour. The food was great when it came, but no hungry man should have to wait for an hour for a meal!

Fantastic hotel it's a little out of the centre of Amsterdam but two trains and your in. Lovely facilities. It makes out it's a spa hotel but I'd say it's more corporate. The mix of people staying is interesting as their are family's. Party goers and then random business people. It's nicer than some of the places to stay at more central. Staff are a little show but friendly.

First, you might think that the hotel is located far from the city center, but it's not really (it was interesting to travel a bit by the tram). The room was all great and the TV surprised me. The staff was friendly and helpful, food was good and the facilities as well! :)

The hotel rooms were very nice, but the customer service wasn't very pleasent experience. This is because they did not pay enough attention and we did not feel wanted in the hotel. Would avoid going there just because of that. Also "ambulance doesnt go to the hotel". Even though we saw one the night before.

The hotel itself was nice. The area was not the most attractive. I had to wait 3 hours to check in, I hung about the reception all this time just waiting to get into my room which should have been ready. The spa was a main attraction for us but on arrival it just seemed too expensive for what you get.

There are not fresh air in the rooms. There are not balconies no window. Its like aquarium. Lile a prison From the center to this hotel need 32 euro And 32 euro go back Everything like shops. Super markets its 20 min Walk far. Its in the middle of nowhere. No cleaning rooms every day. And the pepole are not so friendly. Never again.

Visiting this hotel a few times per year. Really enjoyed my stays.

Pros: amazing breakfast, nice, new, clean rooms, friendly staff, located very close to tram line 2 which is one of the major lines in Amsterdam. Cons: technical glitches upon our arrival (they couldn't find our reservations for a good 20 minutes), the pool costs €15 to use per person and slippers are an extra €7.50. Although it's close to tram line 2, it's still far out from the city center. They locked us out of the entire building when we came back from a club at 2:30 (this happened to other guests as well). It's a good place to relax and get away from the craziness of Amsterdam, but this is not the place to go if you want to party.

Does not speak a word of french lack of attention for those who are confused small room linen toilet vinegar smell the breakfast not worth its price except for its friendly staff and tram nearby. Never coming back.

Cool ambience, nice staff but seemed sometimes overwelmed.

Everything was perfect, the only downside, is that I opted for this hotel compared to the others for its pool, which is very beautiful, but she is forbidden to the age of 16 because of the noise they can do, I can understand, but this is not mentioned on the site, so my 10 year old son could not go, and as a result, I did not go either.

Standards are close to a 4 star hotel. But service is a bit too Dutch, I find. Staff has an odd sense of humor that may not go down well with international clients.
