Service at the top. Cheap room and unbeatable value for money. If I return to Amsterdam, we will return to this hotel.

Good hotel to stay. Good food and a friendly front desk.

Very room, and most of all, I have not slept because of the insects that spades.

The staff here need training in fire and evacuation procedures. The fire alarm went off. I thought it was strange that the building was NOT evacuated. We wandered back into reception and I overheard firefighter tell the receptionist the building should have been evacuated. He ask the receptionist if he had had training and he said no. Now I’m not being dramatic, luckily it was a false alarm, but if it was real, not evacuating could be fatal. Good sized room. And it was cleaned during our second day so no complaints there. Lifts were a bit grim though. Need a clean. Easy access to town centre via public transport. Staff seem completely disinterested. Not very welcoming on arrival. Out of all the staff we encountered only 2 were polite and friendly. Mostly it seemed like we were disturbing them when we asked anything. We still had a fab time in Amsterdam, but I probably won’t book this hotel next time.

ABSOLUTELY horrible hotel. I recommend you not to come here. It's waste of money. Staff and CEO was unbeliavable rude, CEO looked us like trash when we complained about the room because it was so filthy and smelly. Room smelled so bad we couldn't stay there. They refused to give any of our money back and they did not even say that they're sorry. I'm so shocked how this can be even possible. Definitely not 4-star hotel. In the other room was blood stains and other dirt in the room surfaces and on the sheets were dirt spots. So unprofessional staff and CEO and hotel room is not like what it shows in the hotel's pictures.

Very clean a large but impressive hotle with a fully stocked room, plenty of towels, the usual hotel soaps etc but little extras like sewing kits mirrors and shoe horn, iron and ironing board FREE use of SAFE in room and a NESSPRESSO coffee machine with a good stock of capsules, very comfortable beds with ari conditions and good curtains to keep the lights out bathroom was a good size.

Stay here for 2 nights but no room cleaning Not suitable for 4-star hotel. Staff are not friendly. Think that it is not worth the money paid.

I was there with my parents last July 2018. Well located and well connected with the main tourist point (by bus). The rooms are confortable and clean. You can find an excellents supermarkets near the hotel. It does worth to visit the market, Good prices, quality and all. 8/10. Adriano.

Fantastic hotel, very conveniently located for trams, trains with stops to the airport and city centre, there is also a supermarket next door. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious. It was lovely to stay in a fresh hotel in Amsterdam rather than the old school buildings with tiny rooms and tight stairs. The restaurant wasn't busy when we went and had some questionable service from the staff but the food was very nice. It does have to be mentioned that the area surrounding this hotel are "up and coming" in other words rough. Gangs of lads patroling outside the supermarket at night tried to intimidate me and my partner but unsuccessfully. I recommend this hotel and I will be going again just do your shopping in the day.

Incredibly convenient and fairly priced hotel. It isn't overly fancy, but is conveniently located next to a supermarket, gym and the high street where there are a large number of eating options to choose from. Hotel offered adapters for UK power sockets (from European) at a deposit of 10 Euros, which was refundable upon return. Would stay again as a fairly priced option, gives you exactly what you ask for. Check in was less than 2 minutes, check out was less than 1 minute.

The staff were really helpful for our visit. The bedrooms were of a good standard and very comfy beds, with a mini fridge and safe in each room. 2 good sized supermarkets about a minutes walk from the hotel, cash point, tram stop and some food establishments are close as well.

Friendly staff, good location: two big super markets are just around the corner, fast and stable Internet both in the lobby and in the room. AC works just fine and you won't suffer from heat. The only thing is — rooms are too small, bathroom is tiny. See attached photos, they are from room 105 I stayed in. But I recommend the hotel anyway, it's perfect to stay if you are in town for business or just on your own.

Not bad as a place. Very convenient public parking at very few steps from the hotel. Tram or bus stops are also very convenient to the city centre. Only bad thing was, right after checking in, finding yourself 2 times an employee in the room who wanted to fix things… Too bad he opened the door without knocking at all.

Great location, modern, clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the front desk is very rude and uninterested in my concern about my room but being made up. Might be a cultural thing, dunno.

The room was ok! Grubby bath tub and damp patches on the ceiling, cleaner left dirty cups in the room and didn’t replace them with clean ones. The staff were fabulous with answering questions about travelling into the centre, quick ten min bus ride with buses and trams every ten minutes.

Very nice and clean hotel, both rooms and common environments. Very close to the tram which in 15 min takes you downtown, very convenient the KFC that is behind the hotel. The staff was very helpful.

The cleanliness is left to be desired. Next to the bed were gummy bears from the previous guest. The mattresses were very well located and the beds always slipped apart as there were two single beds that were pushed together. In the bathroom were hair in the shower and the shower head as well as the bracket could not be adjusted optimally. The faucet on the sink was leaking. The door to the room popped up right when you let it go. It was stuffy in the room and on the hallways. The windows were very dirty. The curtains would have to be renewed and there was dust everywhere. For a 4 star hotel an absolute no go. In the entrance area, one person slept on one of the filthy couches. The staff didn't seem to care. I will not book a room there. I absolutely cannot recommend it to anyone.

My boyfriend and I were staying at the hotel for 4 nights. I must say that the first night I did not get to sleep much because I could not adapt to the pillow and also heard a lot of noise. The rest of nights I slept great, no noises and no discomfort. I guess the noise was because the first night coincided on Sunday and there was more activity. The deal was very good, we were informed of everything and we resolved all the requests with the utmost speed. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was quite complete: fruit, lots of biscuits, cereals, juices, yoghurts… And also scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon… In general we have been very satisfied.

One of the most comfortable hotels I have used in Europe the rooms are huge and very comfortable very clean and the staff of the hotel strives to help you in whatever you need the breakfast of the hotel very rich and quite economical you have a square with everything you need to about 50 Steps and although it doesn't seem central in 10 minutes you get to the central station.

Great hotel, partly not to 100% clean. Great bed. Plenty of space in the room. Would have liked on TV the HDMI is not exhibited, but who does not need it. I'm here for the second time. Always happy to come back.

Friendly staff, clean places.

Clean functional rooms (most likely refurbished within the last year). Friendly reception and staff. Very comfortable bed and good size shower in the bathroom. We only had breakfast in the hotel however the selection was very good and everything was hot again friendly resteraunt staff. Excellent public transport facilities with bus routes less than 2min walk and trams 10min walk from hotel. Bus journey 15min to city centre and attractions. Would recommend purchasing travel pass for duration of visit as this enables you to use buses, metro and trains. If unsure don’t be afraid to ask at information as everyone we spoke to, spoke very good English and were very helpful. I have always found the Dutch to be very friendly. Would definently book again.

I was for the third time in Amsterdam and decided at the last minute to stay at this hotel a bit far from downtown to be in the area with other friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room as well as the breadth, rare for a European capital especially at the price paid. I was greeted cordially and with availability, without even asking I was given a map with the explanation (in English) of the location of the nearest tram stop, just around the corner, which in 20 minutes takes you to Dam Square. Great hotel and great chain, I recommend to stay here for business trips or large visits to Amsterdam.

It's a nice hotel. It's clear. It's cozy. It's beautiful.
The rooms are quite spacious. There is a coffee maker "nespresso" (admittedly, ours worked "through time").
Despite the strict ban on smoking, the ventilation regularly smells of haze, certainly not tobacco. But it's Amsterdam.
Breakfasts are standard European. Tea-coffee, flakes-musli, sausage cheeses, milk, juices, fruits.
If you forget to take with you on the road — next to two supermarkets.
Far from the center, but transport solves all the problems. Almost all key places can be reached without transfers (trams 7 and 14, bus 21).
Who will take a GVB pass or iAmsterdam card (which I strongly recommend) and do not mind walking for 15 minutes — can conveniently get from the airport (bus 69 to the final).

Nice reception. Good reactivity from employees and helpful. Room are nicely decent. We changed room once because of the bed. We had twin beds instead of one big bed. But in the second bathroom, the shower floor was broken, so the floor was tilted and if you put you foot on it, it is a slippery slope and very hazardous. Might be dangerous if they don't change it. We stayed anyways because we didn't want to bother to change room again.

The restaurant is a disaster. The cook can't do anything. Every housewife cooks better. Don't go there.

Ideal location for travelling into the centre but also if you want a quiet night this is probably right for you. Takes about 20min to get to Central on tram or bus that's a 2 minute walk away to the stop. There are a nice selection of local shops, supermarkets and food shops around. Staff are very friendly. Hotel sells travel cards in vending machines in reception which are very handy.

We had a good stay but speaking in Italian is impossible… too far from the center… staff not friendly.

Clean and nice place, a little bit out of the center, I finally found a hotel that did not disappoint!

I'm a pretty straight forward customer. Hotel had friendly staff and my room was clean and safe. Room was clean daily and had no issues with staff. Bathroom had heated floors, which is a small detail but it definitely pleased me. Although it doesn't have a fan to let the steam out from a hot shower, but leaving the door open is a quick fix. Neighborhood is located near public transportation which counteracts it's distance from the main attractions. Reason I'm not giving 5 is because I wasn't amazed, but I was definitely pleased. I'll give this place my recommendations based off of my experience.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS! One morning we left our room for the day and came back that night to find at least £25 of our money (100% was left on the table) was missing. The only people who has been in our room all day was the cleaners. So we went and spoke to reception, staff all seemed like nice people but no one seemed to care or said they could do anything for us. This is absolutely disgusting. They told us that the cleaner that went in the room saw no change on the table when they entered and that they get paid a salary so why would they take it, however this is not an excuse at all or a reason behind where or why our money had gone. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. The staff here all seemed to act like it was our fault the money wasn't there as if we could have spent it, in a country that only accepts EUROS! It was quite clear where the money had gone, disgusting that the staff seemed so blind. Also when we asked to talk to the cleaner for our room, it seemed oddly coincidental that they weren't in that day. Horrible, thieving hotel!

For a 4 star hotel very basic and not special clean.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms, including the bathroom, are spacious and clean. There is coffee maker, safe, cupboard, desk and in my case the fridge was missing. The heating is not particularly powerful, but you don't get cold. An important fact, the hotel is a little out of the center, anyway the public transport works very well, bus line 21, tram, etc. The stop is next to the hotel. Recommended!

Far from the center but with good connections (not cheap…) is clean and compliant. In a Muslim neighborhood.

Albeit a bit far away from the main attractions of Amsterdam the public transport is very convenient to take you wherever you want to go, with bus and tram stops very nearby! The hotel is lovely and clean, and the staff are very helpful and friendly! Our room was on the top floor so we had a beautiful view!

Really enjoyed my stay here. Pretty easy access to the center of Amsterdam (20 minutes on tram or bus), dining options and grocery stores nearby. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only thing I wished I had was a mini fridge in the room. But the Nespresso machine in the room was nice.

We have stayed 5 nights in this hotel. The room was quite spacious with a nice bathroom, although the bedding was a little uncomfortable to sleep, short duvets and the bottom savanna Q was going out everywhere Porq was also short, which ended up sleeping on the bare mattress. The mattress is quite comfortable.
Every day they made you the room, but the dust didn't seem to clean it and the floor carpeted either. In our room we had several stains on wall and a moisture on the ceiling.
There is a safe and coffee maker with your capsules to make your coffee or infusions.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is far from the center (this in a very quiet neighborhood where you do not hear a noise) but next door there is a tram and bus stop Q takes you in a moment, that if, I advise you buy bonus transportation for several trips, you will get cheaper q pay each time Q OS monteis.
You have supermarkets and some fast food place nearby.
Overall this good the hotel but I consider Q is not to be a 4 star.

Lovely hotel with everything you could need/want. It's out of the centre but very close to bus/tram stops. There are a few restaurants locally and a few coffee shops within walking distance. Really good hotel!

Not a bad place to stay rooms are a good size as is the bathroom which only comes with a shower cubicle. Coffee machines are provided though mine didn't work, and a flat screen TV. Safe is included in the wardrobe as well. The bed was very comfortable and I had no problems sleeping. Phone in the rooms as well so you can call reception and ask about anything you may need. Maid cleaned the rooms every morning and I definitely would recommend breakfast as there is a lot of choice and if you book it at reception you will save a few euros on the price. All in all a good hotel with tram and bus links to the centre in a fifteen minute ride. There is also supermarkets and various food places around the hotel so you have some choice. Only thing that was frustrating was the coffee machine that didn't work and the elevator that seemed to stop on every level but mine, however I would stay here again. A little pricey for the location to be fair.

City Hotel — more not. In the years. Definintiv No 4 stars. Problems with the air conditioning or ventilation were not better even after changing rooms. Sanitary facilities very much in the years.
But very nice hotel staff!
For the future — we won't come back!

In the restaurant excellent the attention of Serena and Farid, only two people in the hotel friendly who spoke Spanish. Not so the receptionist Regillio who in a derogatory manner attended our order. Very unpleasant.

Great hotel and location. Clean and updated property. OUTSTANDING customer service. Ouarda, the front desk clerk went above and beyond to make our stay magical. She answered our needs before we even knew we had them. Thank you for a lovely experience.

I was in the hotel for 5 days with my friends. The room was ok, it is quite big and have a coffee machine. It is placed in the Arab quarter so I recommend you to notice it. Every time we came back to the room, we saw that the cleaning staff was in the room but it seems like they only fixed the beds and that's it; didn't threw away the trash, only replaced 1 towel. When we asked for more towels they said "sure few minutes" and 30 minutes after we called again asking why no one came so they sent another guy after few minutes (same happened when we asked for some one to look at the A/C and the toilet). I will not recommend this hotel and won't visit it again.

Non-smoking hotel, we were at 3rd floor and our view was a wall of windows, so we kept our blinds closed. Didn't have breakfast, so can't say anything about it. Room was clean, there was even a card with a name of who has cleaned it, which was nice. A bit far from city center, but there's tram and bus around the corner. You can get to the airport with two buses, which is also great. There's small market place just behind the hotel with a supermarket. Stuff was a little bit strict and stiff at first, but very helpful and patient.

It is a very good hotel quiet and clean the service is excellent.

As a former housekeeper in hotels this room is disgusting. There's crap all over the window seals in the bedroom and the bathroom. On the window seal in the bedroom there are yellow/brown stains and cup stains followed by other random stains. Clearly needs a good wipe down and a scrub even. The corridors stink, there's no fridge to keep anything cold. I'm not even sure the sheets are completely clean as I'm sitting here I can see a males whisker on the sheet. Otherwise the shower has good pressure and the beds are comfy. Just not sure on cleanliness.

A good hotel with affordable price. Bit too far from downtown but it makes no problem as there is bus and tram station just around the corner that can take u just in 15 min to the city center. Stuff is very helpful in any guidance. There are a lot of halal restaurants around the hotel that suggest variety of Turkish and Arabic food.

A bit on the outskirts but served by bus and tram.

Sheets and towels were smelly and didnt fit the bed properly. The bath was too deep and the shower was over a window sill so when you showered, water went everywhere. Its so run down. Our room looked like it had been broken into a million times. The lift is so slow and the corridor stinks of sewage. Its very far from the main city and the area outside stinks of rubbish.
Would not recommend this place! Our door didnt lock and had to be fixed.

I liked this hotel. The view from the hotel was excellent. No noise nothing, you can have a really nice sleep. :) the room also big and the beds are comfy. The staff was very helpful and professional. The price also really good.

Great hotel, clean and well serviced by the means. Not too close to the center, but the distance is acceptable.

The hotel offers one of the best price-quality ratios. Despite being located in the suburbs (Bos en lommer) is connected to the center in an optimal way, thanks to the many races of public transport (daytime and night) that stop at 50 meters from the structure.
The rooms are clean, and the service discreet. Could improve in general as it is a 4 star.

Really a bell hotel to stay in Amsterdam as far enough away from the centre but by the means that are really efficient you get there in 10 minutes, as far as I'm concerned everything perfect, but it only has 2 flaws the first, in the room, at least in my all eighth Floor, the Wi fi was practically absent, you could only use it on the small sofas in the reception. The second, it may seem absurd to me but it gave me particularly annoyance, were the blankets that were on the beds, spotless yes, but oddly court, I am high 1.75cm then a man of normal stature and came to my chest. I could not explain this thing, for the rest clean rooms, great price and the center you reach in a moment.

Just kill me already. If I am hurt, threatened by drunks middle of the night 4 am, no staff will call police or help. No one check on me while the guy banging on me door for an hour. I can't go out. I called 3 times. She says it's not her fault she was not the drunk. It's the hotel's fault if they don't help me. I don't just pack my stuff and leave the hotel 6 am in the morning for fun. These horrible people still charge me for that terrible night. Shame of your service.

A great hotel, lovely breakfast was served like Kong ever. All very nice. Two steps away from the tram and grocery stores.

We have stayed at the hotel 4 nights. Poor breakfast, sometimes a little unstable Wi-Fi connection. Room according to their price and very clean. Very good service, friendly workers, service to purchase or to ask about locations of Amsterdam, very comfortable. Until service to leave your luggage after check-out from the hotel.

Beautiful infrastructure, very badly maintained. Incompetence of the reception. Wi-Fi problem.
2 lamps on foot and 4 defective bulbs. The cupboard under the sink is falling apart. Ventilation does not work, so that the water condenses all over the tiles and especially in the bathroom where it forms large puddles on the ground.
Rather than answer my simple question about the particular billing method, the receptionist hacked another equally unlikely as the first document. I had the feeling she wanted to get rid of me as soon as no other customers waited behind me.
The Wi-Fi did not work at 7 in the morning.
This hotel is not worth 4 stars, but is adequate for a short stay. Located next to parking is very significant, when it does not display complete.

The staff was very helpful, the enviroment outside, in the streets is very nice. BUT, the room was not good. Very dirty. Huge wads of hair in the shower, boogers under the readinlight over my bed. But worst of all, my window was impossible to open since it was closed with two screws! No fresh air, and where would I go if there was a fire? I was there for 2 weeks. And two weeks without being able to open a window is not good! I'm giving this one star just because the reception staff was so helpful. But I'll never go back.

The room was dirty and had splatters on the wall. The bathroom reeked of rotten cabbage so the staff put some bleach down the sink hole. Would never stay there again.

The connection to the motorway/airport/city centre via public transport is very good and with the 24/48/72 hour card at the reception for about 17€, very cheap. The Hotel makes but unfortunately a total of a verwohnten impression. One always has a "outside hui, inside yuck" impression, as would the Hotel once modern and have been nice, but lack of good care by the staff is something to be degenerate. The cleanliness in the rooms is just so acceptable, in my home it is clean… At least it is not very noisy and the Windows close good. Now in July the temperature was always pleasant, neither too cold nor too warm. The Wi-Fi was free of charge and funtionierte properly. The water pressure must, unfortunately, be mentioned. In the shower it was so still, but from the sink came only a tired trickle of water, hardly to Wash enough! The light in the bathroom is miserable, only funzelige 4 LEDs above the mirror, you can neither properly make-up, or otherwise recognize something, more as a diffuse Schummerlicht not get updated very often. The beds were good, because the mattresses nice and firm and clean, also the bed linen was clean. I was able to sleep well. However, I found the bed very short, my feet hung almost out when I normally was and I am only 174cm tall, who is longer, is likely to have a Problem. Soap, Shampoo and shower gel and Lotion were unsolicited, provided by the Hotel, also Laundry bags were there.

Price/performance = Very good (thanks to Groupon). Motorway exit, and Strassenbahnstation are in Hotelnaehe. Hotel rooms are spacious and our bathroom was very large (had a corner (bath) room). The Breakfast was good and plentiful. In the immediate vicinity there are excellent Local.

Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant is non-smoking and non-alcohol, food was ok. Nice room but hot water was broken an evening and a morning during our stay.

It has a nice and welcoming hall and the staff are quite friendly. About the restaurant, the dinner is also very good and not so expensive as I had expected. The room was correct, with a classic forniture, quite clean and well conservated. And a big TV on the wall. :). But, on the other had, the room had a column just beside the bed that made it to look smaller than it really was, and I had the "beautiful" sight of an office in front of me, a few meters away. For sure that hotel has better rooms, so, it is a luck.

Location not too bad. Ugly building but not too bad inside. Had trouble with the shower so couldn't wash in the morning and wasn't fixed by the evening. Disappointed.

It is very close to a bus (21) and tram line (14) that takes you right to the centre. There is also a supermarket just next to it for a little midnight snack if needed. Staff are friendly and the lobby is nice. The seating area is comfy to wait for a taxi and there is free use of a computer and printer. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. We were given a room on 11th floor — top floor. The view was amazing over Amsterdam central. Sunrise was lush. It was a large room with traditional furniture and a decent sized bathroom with just a shower. There was a TV with BBC channel and a kettle and tea/coffee facilities. The room, being big, was a little cold and difficult to warm up with air-con on full at 30℃. (We visited in October. ) The bed was comfy and big and despite the pillows being cushion size and tiny for the size of the bed, they were so comfy. The shower was my only issue really. I'm not sure if being in the top floor influenced this but it was very temperamental — hot/cold and powerful/weak. You could also heae the water on in other rooms from the bedroom when others showered. We had breakfast which was lovely, hot and cold buffet with a good selection. The staff were very tentative, so much so that when I went for a drink refil, my cereal disappeared — table cleared and re-set. Overall, it's well located, value for money and great for what we needed it for, good night sleep and food to prepare us for our exploring of Amsterdam.

Really great hotel — have been twice. The first time we were put in an amazing corner room, but the second were put in one of the worst hotel rooms i've ever seen! We only had to sleep in it for one night, however, as we complained about it and were staying 5 days. Once the room was changed to a nice one, the rest of the stay was brilliant. Cannot hear other rooms from inside the room, hotel of mixed quality.

Stayed at this hotel with friends within the tour for 4 nights. Excellent hotel. Clean technology intact, beautiful new furniture. A bit zaedala card when opening the door. Every day we cleaned the room. Adequate staff. I liked the breakfasts. The hotel has its own bicycle rental-16 euro/day. Near many shops, markets, cafés and restaurants, several parks. At the Centre of the tram 21 14 rides the bus.

Room very outdated and very very dirty under the limit and beds keeps piling up the dust of months or years no joke! Breakfast also not the true! It is very cold in the room and there is no heating, the Windows are not tight! I would advise against and me looking around for something else! Never again.

We stayed at this hotel on 26-11-13. Our assessment is positive in all aspects, emphasizing its relationship for money, and that despite not being in the Centre, there is a good deal of public transport, both tram, bus or metro, which are within walking distance of the hotel. Therefore, and after weighing the alternatives, we would continue backing this same hotel in our future trips to Amsterdam.
