March 23rd 2022 We had a really good experience last week when we visited so has taken friends this time, but it was a disappointment, this time the server named PJ was not attentive, the service was not up-to the mark this time.

Amazing hotel and staff. With chocolate covered strawberries, Champain and little treat all the time from the staff is making this stay extra special ♥️🥰 for our anniversary. Highly recommend. The Eden restaurant is by far one of the best eating experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely amazing.

Stayed at the Rimrock over the weekend and had my sons birthday event. The whole experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff, the beautiful rooms with mountain views, we had multiple rooms booked for our family who attended his birthday and can say every single room didn’t disappoint with the majestic Rocky views. The service was exceptional, the food is absolutely delicious and most importantly to us the events team Storme and Fumi and all staff assisting the day of the party really did an amazing job with my sons birthday and everything went as it was planned out. We will forever cherish it. We had a great experience and would highly recommend The Rimrock Resort.

We stayed one night and had a massage. We hung out by the fire in the patio in the vending and the massage was exquisite. All of the staff were super nice and helpful.

This was an amazing get away weekend. Spa was second to none. Well worth the drive out from Calgary. Every precaution is being taken for guests and staff. Room service was on point.

Best place I have ever stayed. The Rimrock has ruined other hotels for me because it was so perfect. You could stay inside the hotel your entire trip and have a full vacation. I recommend a spa service as well as checking out the bars and restaurants! If you do want to venture into town, the bus comes right to the front door and the concierge gave us bus tickets. Valet service and underground parking was A+. One of my favorite afternoons was simply spent by the window checking out the view and drinking whiskey. This hotel has the best attention to detail and guest services that I have ever seen. My husband and I still talk about it every week. And I may or may not still check out Banff traffic cams to look at the Rimrock some days…

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and lots of good food options. The spa is a great bonus and they have a nicely equipped fitness room and pool. Will revisit for sure!

I recently stayed at the Rimrock for a night to celebrate my anniversary with my husband. We were both really impressed with the level of service we received. The room was huge & was very clean. We ate dinner at the Primrose & the food was delicious. We would both stay at the Rimrock again!

A perfect spot! We had a wonderful week here in February. Fantastic staff and service. Room service was not 24 hours, and did not start till 6:30! Please get rid of rain shower heads or add a hand held. Recommend resort.

Shout out to the room service crew who came and took my food to heat it up when there was no more microwaves available to send to my room. Love this place.

Worst service in 30 years of dining out! He was the short fella with a beard. Very arrogant towards my fiancé. He was slow to come around even though it wasn’t busy at all. We asked for extra sour cream for our nachos and he never did bring it even though we reminded him about it. Then when we were ready to go, we asked to pack our nachos, so he brought a small box and had us do it ourselves. It was the first time we have never tipped a server. The next day we decided to have a beer in that same Lounge and had a female server. He was there as well and made my fiancé feel very uncomfortable. He actually had the audacity to go up to 2 co workers and say something to them (talking about us) while looking at us with a big smile. He then decided that he needed to make my fiancé feel even more uncomfortable by serving us our drinks with a big fat arrogant smile on his face instead of trying to talk to her and I about the service from the previous night. How unprofessional of him, and how dare we be made to feel uncomfortable in that kind of environment. He should not be a server. So I guess this is me filing a formal complaint against this short little guy with the beard that serves by the fireplace. In the 30 years of dining out, we have never been treated like that and are absolutely disgusted with his treatment. It actually ruined our stay for the 2 nights because we felt we couldn’t go down and enjoy ourselves with him there.

Our experience so far has been really amazing. Romario at the front desk was an amazing first experience during check-in! And then we went to the fitness and spa area and were greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff. It’s my first time here, and I’ve only been here 1.5hrs, but I’m already enjoying my stay!

The hotel has bee very accommodating. The staff has been top notched. The food is amazing. You cannot beat that view. Our best experience is in the lounge when the piano lady played our wedding song. Great hotel we highly recommended it.

Worth every single penny, by far the best experience from all aspects, the view was breathtaking, definitely going back in future.

Excellent hotel. Very accommodating with our room requests. The only complaint is the process to access the Tesla chargers is a bit convoluted. Got sent from person to person, but worked out in the end. They can be accessed with self park option if you ask.

Upon pulling up to the entrance of the hotel, after a short drive up the hill from downtown Banff, I was greeted by the friendly (-and very fancily dressed-) valet, who was immediately very helpful with my various questions — This enthusiastic welcome was mirrored by the check-in staff at the front desk; I was impressed by the rustic — and yet, lush — look of the foyer, which offered a very inviting seating area and restaurant overlooking the wonderfully scenic view (complete with balcony seating, as I discovered the following morning) ; My hotel room was a very comfortable size (-especially as it was just myself, staying the night), with all of the amenities one would expect; I was once again quite taken by the view from the room, which overlooked an unexpectedly deep ravine, with the hotel surprisingly spanning many stories downward — a design which I hadn't really considered, until recalling the somewhat lower-than-expected height of the hotel, at first sight; I was only briefly working at the hotel for one night, and I wasn't in a position to stay very long the next morning (-though, I did feel the need to take advantage of the extended checkout option, as the bed was just way too comfortable, to not do so…) ; I would definitely recommend the Rimrock for a "spoil-yourselves" getaway, and I hope to return soon.

Stayed on the 8th floor as an overnight guest. The room was decent and clean. However the thermostat didn't seem to go up any higher. I thought the room was cold but turned up the heat to 25 degrees and it did not get any warmer. It was still manageable but I would've preferred it to be a bit warmer as the balcony sucked a lot of the heat out. In addition, the pillows were a bit too high for my petite figure. All the pillows were the same size so I didn't get a good sleep. Although they were decent quality, was just a bit high for me that I'd get neck kinks. Overall, a pleasant stay in the hotel.

This is a hotel that's a little bit farther off into the mountains. I like this place as it is more modern than other hotels that are of the same caliber in the area. The scenes are beautiful, and the hotel itself is classy. There is ample covered parking that's not too expensive. You will probably park your car there most of the time as there is a dedicated shuttle that goes in to town. Note that there could be congestion be getting in and out of the mountain and into the town center.

Everything was better than expected. Service is great, rooms are clean and tidy, and they hotel has great amenities. The views are breathtaking. There is a hot spring within walking distance and also a ride up the gondola to get even better views.

My wife and I just spent 4 nights there. The staff are amazing, from the doorman to the bellman bar staff and house keeping. The hotel is just the right distance from town with great bus service to all attractions. The food is very good we had several of our meals here and found them all delicious. The bar has a great selection I think you would hard pressed to not find what you like. I would highly recommend this location to everyone 5 star all the way.

This is the definition of a 5 star hotel. The rooms are amazing, the views are worth every penny spent to stay here. The staff are very accommodating, and the pool area is fantastic! We will be coming back here for sure!

Room is very large but the bed is too soft sleep uncomfortable bathroom is also a bit old in addition dust did not clean view it is also good to see the view of this next time to Banff will not stay again, parking pay 20 extra dollars.

Breathtaking views. Top of the line service, cleanliness, friendliness. We were on the top (9th floor), though only 3 floors are above ground. Easy accessibility to Mountaintop gondola, caves. Downtown shopping / restaurants also readily accessible by free shuttle provided. We had the Mother’s Day buffet and it was the best ever! A real treat. Salmon, Oysters, crab, prime rib, roast lamb, Canada wild game pot pie, and the desserts were astounding and delicious. I highly recommend a treat for mom at this once in a lifetime buffet. A bit pricey but well worth the views and memories.

Amazing scenery, amazing service. The pool and hot tub were great. The staff is super friendly. The complementary bus service made it super easy to go into the village to enjoy drinks and lunch, and get back for a soak and drinks and dinner.

Nice hotel with spectacular views of the mountains. Staff members were extremely helpful and the restaurants on premis are equally as good. The building itself is old but has been updated. Amenities were also good. Prices were a little high… Recommended.

I've driven by the Rimrock countless times on my way to the hot pools but finally had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful hotel as my wife was attending a conference there. And, better yet, we could bring our dog as the Rimrock is pet-friendly. Have to say we enjoyed our stay very much. Apparently, the conference was great, but the dog and I had a lot more fun hiking the trails around the hotel, laying in late in our comfortable beds (even a dog bed is provided) and then heading out for some cross country skiing. Great place to stay and relax, canine & humans!

They have great service! If you need anything they will go out of their way to get it for you. By staying at the Rimrock you get access to the transit system that will take you up to any mountain you want. The hotel is also great with kids and they have a decent pool. The only down side is the quality of food. Not that they have terrible food, it's just mediocre. Stay the night, enjoy the service and amenities, but stay away from the food. The local food is worth it.

Valet was horrible, no help so we self parked. Check in personnel was great. In room dining was fabulous, restaurant staff was fabulous, but the rooms are dated. The jacuzzi tubs are filthy and the carpets are very worn. I use to love this hotel but may reconsider in the future. I don’t feel like I’ve got what I’ve paid for.

By far, one of the best hotel experiences of my life. My fiancé and I stayed the weekend for his 30th birthday, and it was wonderful. Even though we had the “obstructed view”, the trees were beautiful and the privacy was nice. The staff are amazing, so friendly and accommodating. The bed was so comfy, I had one of the best sleeps of my life. The cost of movie rentals and the dining in the hotel are quite pricy but the experience was worth it. I’ll definitely go again.

I booked a 50th birthday treat for 10 days along with 3 other couples in March. The check in was very fast & the luggage was there immediately. Our room was so comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space and the view was uterly breath taking. I never drew the curtains! It is situated out of town & away from all the crowds. There is a regular shuttle to take you there, as well as a free local bus pass. The breakfast was very yummy with plenty of choice. I will miss the omelette &… pancakes and great view! The smoothies are delicious too. The swimming pool & spa were great & very clean just wish we had more hours in the day to enjoy them! The pool is large and there is a super warm jet pool to lounge around in. A sauna & steam room take your caches & pains away. The bar & Larkspur is nothing short of fabulous. The cocktails are perfect, the fire in the bar is just amazing & the food is delicious. Most importantly the bar staff were friendly, professional and fun. We all had a really good giggle! (Black panthers?! ) The concierge service is the best I have ever used. Hats off to Chris! I don't ski so was given plenty of advice & ideas. He helped me sort out a cake, he always had a friendly smile & we had a fun chat every day! We found the Rimrock fantastic. The genuine warmth of the staff was really what made the difference. I've stayed in many hotels across the world & this is by far my favourite. My only complaint is the use of straws! Pls use paper ones!

Had an excellent time here. This is a beautiful hotel located in the mountains overlooking Banff — definitely splurge for a room with a mountain view, as it's well worth it. The staff here were incredibly cordial and polite — they really went out of their way to provide exceptional service, so kudos to all of them. I was a big fan of the facilities — the hotel room was tastefully decorated and plenty roomy. There is a pool and hot tub area that features a sauna, as well as a very well-equipped fitness centre; very rarely do I come across a hotel gym with a squat rack. To add to everything, this hotel is a quick walk away from the lovely Banff Upper Hot Springs, the famous Gondola, and the Sulphur Mountain hike! All in all an amazing location that I would happily stay at again.

Was here for a conference and was not disappointed by the hotel, the room, staff or restaurant. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and beds comfortable. It is nestled among trees and close to the hot springs. Loved the hot springs and the ski day I had at Lake Louise. Would definitely stay again if I ever find myself back in Banff.

Superior service. All the staff from the check in desk to the valets to the room cleaners were exceptionally friendly. Everyone was engaged, smiling and greeting you. The food at the Primrose restaurant was amazing. Wednesday is a pasta bar. If you are in Banff on a Wednesday definitely drop in to check it out. The chefs were friendly and engaged in delightful banter as they prepared your dish. Overall an outstanding experience.

A very small regular buffet. Too salty. For the price was way to high. Will not be going back. After we paid the bill. We sat around for a while n no service was given to us. No water nothing… N they said they would give us a voucher for the parking which they did but we still had to pay to get out. We had to ask for the. Vouxher. They forgot to give it to us.

The Rimrock is a superb hotel! It is set in the forest and mountains very close to the Banff hot springs. I came for a conference and found the Rimrock a perfect spot — both to prepare for the conference and to relax afterward. The staff are pros, the space has everything you need and is kept very clean and well organized. Highly recommended.

I went to the Rimrock spa with my boyfriend we booked 2massages back to back since they were all booked up. The hospitality was lovely! Very attentive respectful and professional. I gave it 3 stars because both me and my boyfriend left very unsatisfied with the massage we received. Everything else was lovely great view and the place was very clean.

The heat in our room took forever to heat up. After the maintenance men came they said our room was 18.5 and that they would give us a little heater. After complaining again that they gave us a little heater they were willing to move us rooms after freezing for a few hours. Paying $639 for 2 nights and having to use little space heaters in our room is ridiculous. Also, the jets in the bathtub didn't work. The lady I checked in with was not very friendly and pleasant to deal with. They were out of parking so we had to use valet parking which was also a pain. I have stayed with lots of different hotels in Banff and the experiences were much better. I won't be returning. I thought booking with the Rimrock they would have had better customer service…

Arrived by car and found parking to be $20 a day. Pretty steep charge, and unlike other hotels, location means you have no choice but to pay for it. Not great. Had a reservation for a two queen bed room, and asked for a king bed instead. Was told this was technically a higher room category and would have an extra charge. Of course well within the hotel's right, but left a sour taste in my mouth. Hotel didn't have any phone chargers or international power adaptors to borrow. Found this fairly unacceptable of a mid-high end full service hotel, given 99% of Hampton Inns have these. Finally, woke up with what appears to be flea or bed bug bites all over my body.

Beautiful view from our room. Breakfast at Primrose was pricey but had good options for the buffet. Room was nice but bathroom somewhat on the small side and could use a refresh for the rates they charge. They had a lovely ice skating rink, the ice itself was pretty bad, but loved the small covered area with patio chairs and a propane fireplace. Parking lot filled up early and could use more spaces.

I was going back and forth between giving the Rimrock a 2 star or a 3 but the experience and the ambience was pleasant enough. We just have some issues like a) 21$/day parking fee for a parking space that is very cramped; b) at dinner at the Larkspur, the fish and chips was noted the chef specialty however when it came it was a burnt and greasy, it looks like they forgot it in the frier after they turned it off; c) the water pressure in the bathroom were not the greatest; d) lastly, the walls were paper thin, we actually heard the people in the next room having sex. Had to turn the volume on the TV up.

We visited the hotel to eat at Eden. We enjoy our fine dining and this place didn’t disappoint. It was magical, from the snowy view of the ice rink in the Forrest to the comfy plush leather seats. The food was unique and delicious and the wine pairing was a taste bud adventure. I am gluten free and was catered for impeccably. We had the coconut crusted wild boar for main course and it was delicious. Would love to visit again next time maybe as hotel guests too.

It was a wonderful stay. The service is very good both in restaurants and in all amenities. SANTA CLAUS made an appearance with gifts for the children at no cost and made the day for small 4-year-old Li. BANFF is a spectacular place. The views from the Gondola are the most beautiful thing I have seen in my life and it is about 500 meters from the hotel. The sunset in winter is simply missed and being staying a few steps is a blessing.

A beautiful hotel in one of the most beautiful locations in Alberta. We enjoyed our stay and made use of the Larkspur Lounge, the Primrose dining room, and the pool and fitness room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that could be improved is more space in the parking garage. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas while we were there, and it made our stay even more enjoyable.

I don’t give praise lightly, fortunately everything about Rimrock Resort Hotel was exclusive. It is excellent hotel and the property kept extremely clean. The Christmas decorations brought us the holiday spirit. The hotel was warm and cozy. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. We booked to dine at Eden on a open table online. Something went wrong with our booking and seemed like we’ve never been booked for Eden. We showed the concierge our confirmation email, but he couldn’t find our reservation for 7.30pm in a system. However, the concierge staff personally went to the kitchen to talk to a chef if he can squeeze us in at a different time. The staff came back with a little hope saying that we should go to our room and he will call us when he hears back from the kitchen. Eden was booked solid for the time of our reservation (7.30pm), so we agree to have our dinner late if they can find open table for us. We went to our room which was vey cozy. The room was spacious, stylish and super clean. We even enjoyed having our house robes. While getting ready to go to a pool for swimming and sure enough we received a call that we can have our dinner at Eden at 9.30pm. It was late for my 8 year old niece to wait, but we decided to wait anyway. By 9.20pm, my family and I arrived at Eden. The area was spacious and one of the best that I have experienced.

Second time being there and it's the best place I've ever stayed! They upgraded us for nothing because they weren't busy the days we stayed this time. Food service for the event was not that good. Food was over cooked. Steaks were dry and and very chewy.

For the price of this hotel (me and my boyfriend stayed for $493 for one night, and this price included a discount for having an AMA/CAA membership) it is so not even close to being worth it. It is amazing that someone can spend that much money to stay somewhere, and not even receive a complimentary breakfast included in this price. Yes, the location is beautiful, but there is nothing special about the hotel itself, and in the room we had, there was no view, the trees were right at our window and covered any view or sunlight. I've stayed at hotels for more than half of the price, in just as amazing of a location (perfect view of Niagara Falls) and the rooms were way nicer and even included a Jacuzzi tub and breakfast. There was blood on our bed sheets, the housekeeper had to come and change the sheets, and we were missing our two bathrobes to wear down to the spa and pool — both were replaced, and we were given no sorts of apology from the hotel. We did not eat at any of the restaurants inside of the hotel, as every menu we glimpsed at was so overpriced based on the price we already paid just for the room. Luckily, it was my birthday weekend, and the price was the least of our worries. Had a great time, which made up for the hotel, however, I would never stay here again unless it was my last option. Hotel overall wasn't bad or unclean, but for the price, and what is included, it is not worth it.

The location, staff, food and cleanliness was fantastic and the bed and pillows certainly helped us sleep well. However, the bathroom was far from what we have become used to. It was far too small and badly laid out. The fact that the wardrobe was in a room with a wash basin seemed very odd; it could have been in the bedroom. There was only one bedside table, yet two double beds. The room was badly lit and was short of power sockets by the beds. I felt uncomfortable sitting in the garden area, as it was being used by people lounging about in dressing gowns as they were using the spa facilities. It just seemed strange. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful and we did enjoy our stay.

Great as a hotel, something… off as a wedding venue. First, there's is nowhere near enough parking, and it is not clearly marked. Wedding guests (not hotel guests as they weren't staying overnight) were confused as the parkade was labeled 'hotel guests only'. When they asked staff where to go the staff didn't know (after bragging of hosting six weddings that day). Despite being in the wedding package, the rehearsal "wasn't reserved" so we had to fight with staff to get the room opened. Morning of the wedding staff ignored the bride's seating plans and upon her correcting them they simply said "but everyone else does it this way" and didn't change until the florist arrived and took control from them. Actual service staff-the bartenders, DJ, dinner servers, were all spectacular. As well as those in the Primrose and lounges we patronized for the weekend. Bell staff was wonderful, and concierge helpful whenever we needed them. And of course you can't beat the views.

All staff are very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Getting a room with a view is definitely something you should consider if you are staying here. Breakfast buffet is great, and food via room service is also very good. Pet friendly rooms are available (even with a view) with pet bed and dishes supplied. Cribs and such for babies are available for those traveling with children. Spa services, pool, and gym (considerably larger than most hotels). This hotel is very close to the hot springs, and a few biking trails (although, it is still the national park, so depending on time of year, some trails could be closed due to bears).

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and stayed for 5 nights. We had the best experience we've ever had. The staff are beyond exceptional, as is the service. They really make you feel appreciated. The food is delicious. Would recommend to anyone and will come back if given the opportunity!

My Fiancé and I recently toured the Rimrock Hotel Resort, as we are looking for places to get married. Though we did not stay in this hotel, we had an absolutely amazing experience with the staff members who were very friendly and helpful. Each staff member we encountered went above and beyond to help us learn more about the resort. They provided us with a lovely wedding package and gave us a tour of all their conference/ballrooms, as well as their famous, "Suite 900". Very pleased with the service, and we can't wait to get married here next year!

Dining at Primrose wasn't _bad_ but was below expectations. My clam vongole was oily but tasted good. My wife's pork belly/lamb roll was mainly pork fat and the lamb was overcooked. In contrast, the passion fruit custard and mango dessert had a good tang.

Beautiful place and friendly staff. A good place to treat yourself. Hot springs within walking distance and lake Louise a quick 30 min trip. I highly recommend to anyone staying in the are!

Overall very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. The larkspar lounge is nice, great views and warm fireplace. Food however is over priced for what it is. For example I had the burger. It's was $20, and was a frozen patty style burger. The consierce will store your skis. Heated underground parking. Large indoor pool, hot tub, fitness facility and spa. Walking distance to the Sulfer mountain hotspings and Banff Gondola.

The hotel is nice, and the amenities are good. What makes this hotel however are the views and location; if the hotel were anywhere else I would have been significantly less impressed considering the cost and would expect more as far as amenities and luxuries go.

Great Hotel! View is amazing, location pretty good, service outstanding, rooms big and well kept. It is a little pricey but for special occasions it is worth it.

A very nice spot with good amenities. The only unpleasant part was the $80 price increase in the room rate the second night that we were not told about until check out. It. Is Banff, so nothing is cheap, but not sure the cost equals value here.

Recently stayed at the Rimrock when my boyfriend was there for a medical conference. Luxurious hotel overlooking the mountains. We were only on the second floor but had a decent view. The gym and pool are very nice, and the hotel is a five minute walk from the hot springs up the hill. Staff were lovely and accommodating.

The rooms were cozy and the views are phenomenal. The food in the lounge was very average and extremely expensive. The food in town is much, much better. The staff for the most part were very friendly, but again, the staff in the lounge left something to be desired.

Stayed for two nights on a ski and stay package. I travel for work and have stayed in a variety of hotels across the country. We had room 814, a grand view king suite. Nice room, great view. Only down fall a with the room was the bathroom and heating. Bathroom was small. Had a smaller tub then my home. Water pressure was horrible. The room has its own thermostat but will only let the guest adjust the heat to a setting of 25°. Twenty-five seems as if it would be adequate. Even at this setting though, I would be surprised is the room reaches an actual 19. Staff was of the finest and most helpful I have ever come across. Dining was great. Great portions and great drinks. Would definitely get a room with a balcony next stay.

The view from the room do not come close to the website. A premium room with unobstructed mountain view gives you a narrow view of mountain with high trees and buildings on either side. Expensive, not worth it.

We stayed for a week in September and had a great time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I was interested in making dinner reservations and the concierge said that he would make them for me. The bar staff in the main dining room and in the Divas Bar were all very helpful and knowledgeable also. The location is so close to the hot springs and gondola, but it is a bit of a hike into town. There is a hiking trail right behind the hotel which was nice for an afternoon walk or the trail up Sulphur Mountain is right down the street. We had an "obstructed view" room on the 4th floor, but I could still see one of the mountains. There were no trees obstructing our view at all. We did keep one of our curtains closed most of the time because it faced the back of the hotel, but otherwise it was still a great view.

Charming if slightly dated hotel set a few kilometers outside of Banff with a spectacular view of the valley. Make sure to get a room on the top floor to take advantage of the view.
