The staff are amazingly rude with a overall feeling of superiority! Extream predudice — bordering racist attitude towards people from uk The overall attitude towardss women is discusting! We will not be coming back to this hotel and we will inform as many people as possible about the service we received. We are ment to be living in 2018 not 1820 terrible boooo.

Where do I begin. The room was pretty small, but the bathroom was spacious enough. Definitely not the cleanest — there were still sticky spots left on the table, the arm chair and the stool had stains on them and had this dirty colour. Needless to say, we didn't dare sit on them. The whole hotel, the room and the towels (the first day) had this old smell of cigarette smoke, even though there's a "no smoking" sign on every door. The beds had some thin mattresses on them which made them really annoying to sit on, seeing as you would literally sink into the bed and possibly slide off of it along with that mattress. On Friday night we could hear noise from outside that could be annoying to some people, but then again, that's what you get from a hotel in the middle of a busy street. On the positive side, they did pass by the 2nd day to switch the towels (which didn't have the smoke smell this time) and clean again. There was also breakfast included from 8 am till 10 am — enough variety to fit people's needs. The location is also a plus, because it's at the heart of the city. Amsterdam Centraal was within 2 min of a walking distance.

Yes the rooms are tiny. But the place is pretty great. Very clean. Modern well kept spaces. Free breakfast was quite good (meats, eggs, croissants, coffee, bacon, etc). I have no idea why people are down grading them because of small rooms. It's Amsterdam. You don't need much. Rooms up front have charming views but can be loud because it overlooks a busy walking street scene. Great block. Tons of food options and the very fun Wonder Bar. Also a great cheese shop. Book it.

Expensive place to stay. Good location next to the central station. Mattress very uncomfortable. Very nice bathroom. Powerful shower. Breakfast is terrible. Staff on the other hand are really nice. Very kind and helpful.

Has its pros and cons — depends on the individuals preference. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. However, my toilet seat was broken and remained broken for the 4 days I was there. Not a huge deal. The hotel itself is clean and offers breakfast, food and drinks. The downside of the hotel is, it's noisy inside, I guess it depends on the guests staying but the walls and doors are hollow, so everything is heard and I don't believe the staff did anything to prevent the noise. The staff however speak English and are very helpful regarding information on the city and getting the best deals for tours etc. The location is the best thing about the hotel, it's very central, short walks to everywhere — furthest was the Heineken tour which was a 30 min walk but that's on the outskirts. It's surrounded by shops, restaurants, bars and even has a supermarket next door. Its definitely a 3* hotel and the price is probably on the higher end for what it is but you're paying for location. I would recommend staying here but it depends on what sort of trip you're having.

Just back from The Royal Plaza Hotel and after reading some reviews we were quite worried. But we had nothing to fault at all! Very clean room and bathroom, clean towels left every day. Our room was just perfect and had everything we needed, the beds are very comfy and the Wi-Fi was good! Not a lot of choice at breakfast, but we enjoyed our stay. The heating and air-conditioning system is very good! Very friendly staff and great location!
