Don't be fooled by the friendly reception check-in.
Warm welcome upon arrival, but also greeted by an unfriendly smell (place smell of something out of the garbage dumps)
Very bad maintenance, floor decks damaged, paint coming off the walls, damaged sealings to name but a few. The room was not that bad, but the cent of some sort of spray or something gives you the feeling they trying to cover up a bad small.
Then you get to breakfast and the most unpleasant person, who cant even great you just wants to know your room number. Other than that you have to ask her everything. No official warm greeting for a breakfast that didn't look to bad (I never had anything)
Begged for a cup of coffee which she planted on the table not asking if I want milk or guiding me where to find any? Then after 20min (because she was hiding in the kitchen most of the time) I asked here please inform me how does breakfast work she mumbled something and kept walking around without me having any info yet of how the hell do I get a warm breakfast in this place? That's when I left. They will never see me again and I do not recommend this experience to anyone SO STAY AWAY!

Dear Blue Whale Boutique Hotel Team,
I recently travelled from South Africa to attend an 80th birthday celebration at your hotel. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the service you provided with this function. The amazing lagoon view from the venue, the hospitality of the staff, the tasteful food, detailed table arrangements, and the overall ambiance were truly wonderful and contributed to a memorable event.
However, there was some disappointment. The patio heater was not working and therefore the outside area was to an extent not very weather conducive and comfortable for some of the guests while enjoying their food. Secondly, there was an agreement on a specific end time (which was 23h00), but unfortunately, the function was ended at 21h45 with the announcement by die DJ that the last song would be played. Sadly, we had to leave the venue 75 minutes earlier. Personally, I think that this celebration would have been even more memorable if this did not take place. It is expected that agreeing to host a function of this nature, that all overnight guests will be informed in advance.
I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of your team despite of the above mentioned.

My stay at the Blue Whale Hotel in the Walvis Bay lagoon area was outstanding! The hotel's location is perfect, offering breathtaking views of the lagoon and easy access to nearby attractions. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious, featuring a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. The hotel's amenities, including the pool and spa, were top-notch and added to the overall experience. I highly recommend the Blue Whale Hotel for an unforgettable stay in Walvis Bay!

I am amazed by how organized this places is, food is so amazing, friendly staff, we were served by esmelda, friendly, always smiling and ready for your needs. I will definitely recommend, amazing place.

We had a wonderful time, the service was amazing as well as customer care. The only problem was with the booking, which was not properly honoured. Had there been no funds, one would have got in trouble, as the amount given and confirmed was not the same, even though one of the people hadn't turned out, we still had to pay more than what was confirmed with the booking agency. Will you please take note of this, as such action would render the company unreliable.

Only ate at the restaurant and was impressed by the available menu options. Much less impressed by the execution though. Almost everything I had was on the greasy side and could have used more flavor in general. The service was kind and friendly.

Astonishing location, had the best experience from the waiters. Good standards and value on client privacy and best food I've had in walvis, actually met them at the expo and the service was just out of this world. I'll definitely recommend this hotel for any and everyone, thank you Bluewhale and management.
