After an extremely hard 200km drive on washboard roads from Twelthfontein Elephant Drive Reststop. We arrived in the oasis of Uis, and this fantastic Teagarden.

This is a wonderful place: remote, peaceful and with the most wonderful staff.

Real Namibian hospitality from the staff was amazing! We felt so welcome and taken care of. Fun bike and sundowner and we saw many animals including giraffes, zebras and jackals.

We had a bit of a hard time believing a place to stay was down the dirt road as nothing was visible! The sign posts ended at the cattle grate! So just follow the track down and off to the right!

Penny and Dianna make you feel at home, you are literally their guest. The room is clean cute decorated. All you need to prepare a meal is available.

And must stop location situated close to Brandberg in the small town of UIs. They offer a refreshing and rejuvenating break from the heat of the desert.

We stopped for lunch. The pub looks like it hasn't changed since the 1980s. The only available meal was grilled chicken breast with french fries, but it was good. Refreshing cold drinks.

A fantastic stay in Uis! Annika and David are incredible hosts. They were so kind, welcoming, and helped me feel at home in Uis. The rooms are comfortable, private, with a great breakfast included.

My fiancé and I spent one night at the Desert House, and even though it was a short stay, we had a wonderful time.
