Lüderitz Nest Hotel

We had a lovely waterside room which opened up to a lovely view across the rocks to the sea and across the harbour. Rooms were compact and well maintained, and staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t try the pool. We we did eat in the restaurant on the first night; food was good, but pricey. Secure on-site parking. It’s a busy hotel that caters for tour groups. It’s a good base to explore surrounding historical sites such as Shark Island, wildlife areas along the coast, Dias Cross (Fur Seals) and Halifax Island (Penguins) and the Namib Nakluft National Park, and Kolmanskopp.

Dramatic views from the room, with seals playing just outside. Quiet and comfortable room. Easy to get a good relaxing sleep. Bathroom a little dated, but clean and functional. Great buffet breakfast. Lots of choice. A short walk into town. Not really the weather for the swiming pool, but this was out of action anyway.

Lovely setting… the staff were super friendly and attentive. We had mussels and fresh oysters to start. Delicious. Think the mussels would be better served with bread instead of toast. We had Kabeljou for mains. The fish was a bit dry but the chips and salad were delicious! Desert was apple crumble and peach melba. Both delicious!

Stopped by for a quick drink to quench our thirst after a long drive, and we’re so glad we did! Our waiter was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We sipped on our ice-cold drinks while soaking in the stunning ocean views — the perfect little refreshment stop with a view that’s hard to beat.

We stayed 2 nights here while visiting Luderitz.
The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much for them. The food in their restaurant was fantastic and some of the best food on our trip. The rooms we had were nice, clean and modern with great views of the ocean. The heated outdoor pool is a nice addition.
Unfortunately the construction noise significantly let the hotel down during our 2 night stay. We knew this was happening as when we arrived there were signs stating it would only be between the hours of 10am to 5pm which is fine as most people including us would be out exploring so unaffected by it however, this was not the case. Our first breakfast at 7.30am — 8.15/30am all you could hear was banging in the kitchen while breakfast was happening. Likewise the construction in the rooms started before the 10am and went on passed the 5pm. What was more confusing was that the hotel was not full but both the rooms our family were given were right next to the construction zone. Personally given the size of the hotel and lack of capacity when we were there I would have put guests as far away from the suites undergoing construction to minimise noise disruption and paint fume smell during their stays.
We would definitely return and stay here again as long as we knew the construction was completed.

We had a great stay at the Lüderitz Nest Hotel! Our room was on the smaller side, but bright, well-appointed, and offered beautiful ocean views along with a scenic look toward Felsenkirche and the town. It’s just a short (if windy! ) walk into the town center.
The room came with strong Wi-Fi, a good shower, and a handy bar fridge—everything we needed for a comfortable stay. While the décor in the lobby and restaurant areas felt a bit dated and bland, the quality of the food more than made up for it.
The hotel restaurant served exceptional meals. Breakfast was a real highlight—with an excellent selection, including hot dishes cooked to order and even sparkling wine to start your day in style.
Across the board, the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, which made our stay feel even more welcoming.
Highly recommend the Lüderitz Nest Hotel as a solid and comfortable base for exploring this unique coastal town!

Unfortunately we were here for just 1 night. It’s a beautiful hotel with rooms overlooking the bay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was also lovely. Free Wi-Fi which works well. A highlight is definitely the restaurant. They serve fresh seafood as well as a range of other things. The breakfast buffet was also great. Very varied and very nice rolls and sweet pastries. Friendly staff as well, this place has it all. I really enjoyed my short stay here.

Beautiful hotel with great playground. They were very accommodating as they fitted us in for lunch on Christmas as we arrived in the town and nothing else was open. Staff were very welcoming. View from upstairs restaurant is stunning, we saw seals playing in the sea. Hotel was very clean and well maintained.

Only went to the restaurant one of the few places open doing food on a new year. Was a stir fry buffet and very good it was too. Staff great very helpful and food excellent but is hotel prices. At the end of a dirt track facing seam.

A absolute treat to stay at this hotel. Breakfast and dinner absolutely over the top exceeding all of our expectations.

This is on the list of best hotels in Namibia. Love the fact that they practice deep cleaning of their rooms hence the rooms do not have bad odour. The service is outstanding as well as the food. Truly a home away from home👏🏾👏🏾

I have been in Namibia for 9 years to participate in the Luderitz Speedchallange and have stayed at the Luderitz Nest Hotel every year. There are only good things to say about how well the team & crew take care of you from the first minute you take a step into the hoteldoors. It is clean and the kindness is amazingly nice and not made up but from the heart. It is my pleasure to tell everyone that if you want to experience comfort, friendship and an incredible story, you should stay at the Luderitz Nest Hotel and they will show you where to go to get the absolute best experience in Luderitz and namibia. Personally I love Luderitz and getting to the hotel after 9 hours driving through the desert, but very good roads so don't worry. It is safe and everyone is very friendly.

Room was comfortable and cozy and had a great view. Food at the restaurant is of a really great quality, barman is also good conversation to have.

The place and the views were beautiful, they treated us really nice and the food was excellent. The chef cooks extremely good and the waiter attended us every time we call him. We enjoyed a lot.

The hotel is well situated right on the edge of the sea.
The food is delicious.
People go extra mile to make my stay very much comfortable.
