OceanLife Guesthouse and Restaurant Lüderitz

If you are able to visit Namibia, Luderitz and need clean. Neat. No bulltwang accommodation at an affordable rate, OceanLife Guesthouse and Restaurant sets the scene and provides the needs. We loved this place and would recommend it over and over again. Thank you so very much.

I would always recommend this place. The place is quiet, clean and friendly employees. I love it here.

The flat had enough room for 3 and the beds were very comfortable. I missed a side table to put a phone or book on. They are renovating the part where we were and so it was obvious they are still improving. The kitchen was a little off putting, as the cupboards are very old and “lived in”. A hot water shower after a long day goes a long way. All was clean and the manager was helpful. For the price, this accommodation was just right.

First off, Ana at reception is a really nice lady, and overall, the rooms are roomy and secure. This place lost points in my book for three things:
1) the Wi-Fi did not work during the majority of my stay on my personal devices nor my room’s TV.
2) the rooms were not clean (someone’s sandals were even left in the room, a rotten box of food on the porch, human hair on porch, kettle full of gross water)
3) this is personal, but as a self-service accommodation, residents are to make their own food. My room was not equipped with a pot, so I asked reception and was told they would bring it to my room immediately. I waited for hours but they never came so I went out to eat; I never got it.
Also, unlike most accommodation, they take photocopies of your passport and don’t shred them after you leave, even if you ask. Do with that what you will. Hope this helps.
Also! They are establishing an OceanLife restaurant soon! That sounds very exciting. I hope the restaurant finds success and that it offers vegan options 🤩

It's in a quiet area and good location. Walking distance to all shops. Enjoy festival also while we were there. Anastene was so helpful from the beginning till check out day.

The rooms did not meet the description on Lekkeslaap, and were quite noisy. Furthermore, the rooms were worn, and several advertised amenities were missing. The staff member who assisted us did her best under the circumstances. We will not be booking there again.

We paid for our accomodation thru Agoda 3 months ago, when we arrived today 29th December we were told that they dont have our booking and the owner was called, without any assistance he made it our problem to sort out the accomodation as we didnt pay him we paid Agoda, we showed them the proof of payment, they did not seem to care one bit. We were then told he canceled his membership with Agoda a month ago or so, we cantacted Agoda they tried calling them over 5 time with no response, Agoda then procesed our refund, we went around to the back packers and found someone that assisted us on sutch short notice not like oceanlife Luderitz accomodation, I will not recomend them to anyone.

Our stay at Ocean life guest house was excellent we enjoy our self the only problem was we couldn't watch our soccer match cuz dstv was off so plz next time just make sure everything works further 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank u all😊

Very beautiful place, clean and safe. The beds are nice to sleep on and your staff is so friendly. Looking forward to a next visit and I can recommend anybody to go stay, family or solo they really do accommodate all. No noices during the evening you can have a peaceful rest.

Good day. I was very happy with the rooms and cleanliness overall but the parking facility was not so good.

Clean and comfortable small apartment, from which you walk to the restaurants and downtown. The small backyard is cozy and protects from the wind.
We needed a stove to cook and the manager brought a brand new one, so much appreciated.
The parking lot has fewer space than requested, so we shared with other people and there were no problems in the morning to drive out. Anyway the road has plenty of parking.

Great location, secure parking possible in the inner courtyard, friendly and helpful staff, rooms ok, facilities average, manager in the reception area slightly overwhelmed, but tried hard.
Loud party in one of the rooms next door until late at night.

Rude personnel — I wish not to go back there. I initially booked for 10 people but 1 withdrew from the trip just after 1 hour of reservation. I requested for a change telephonic which was made for 9 people but when I got to the venue I was charged for 10 people because the owner said so. It didn’t make sense!

You can smell the toilet on the street! Please clean the bathroom between guests. The kitchen counter is also super dirty with filth stuck between the tiles. Also what the room is actually equipped with does not match what was promised in the booking (e. G. Cooktop, pots). It is not normal to have ants and cockroaches on the kitchen counter!

The room is part of an apartment complex and loads of security. Even though it is safe, it gave the impression of not being safe. The second room is under the complex stairs and the first night we did not have enough warm water. And yes, there are ants.
