Alte Villa Boutique Hotel

We stayed for three nights and were very happy with the Alte Villa.
Everything was very clean, the service was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect with a beautiful view. 👌
The crayfish was just perfect!

Great room, with a wonderful bathroom.
Slept like a princess.
Coffee and cake available all the time.
Bread at breakfast is fantastic.
Service with a smile.

Loved this stay. We stayed two nights in the garden room. The bed and the room were huge.
We ate in on our first night.
Breakfasts and dinner were delicious and the choice of wine was amazing.
The staff were soooo friendly. We loved this place.

Great stay at such a cute and cozy place, and Saima made us feel at home. Looking forward to our next stay here next time we're in Luderitz.

We had the loveliest stay in Alte Villa! Everything from the service, the room to the food was absolutely perfect. The view from our rooms was stunning. With such a cosy place and such a warm welcome from the best staff, how couldn’t we feel home? Absolutely recommend and hope I’ll come.

This is a place you'll want to come back to visit. We've been staying here every year since 2021 — it was an exceptional place to stay then but the owners and staff continue to look for ways to update/improve the property. Every room is decorated and laid out differently. This year the whole room we've stayed in every year was updated — I didn't think the room could be more comfortable and pleasing to the eye — but it is. The breakfasts and dinners (on request) are excellent. The self-service, reasonably priced bar is very nice. The balcony to read a book, relax with a wine, or just enjoy the view is fantastic. The staff and owners are friendly, helpful, and a delight. If you enjoy quirky towns as much as I do (can't imagine not coming back to Luderitz) — this is the place to stay. The staff is very helpful describing the options to see the area and places to drink/dine. My husband has mobility issues and the staff has did everything they can to make this old home accessible for him.

Food, room, friendliness, vibes, view… everything!

Very tasty decoration, family like environment. I had to give a lower ranking in service not for lack of kindness or availability but because during laundry, I suspect they tried to iron my hiking pants which caused a massive hole. Also the smell of the laundry was not great. I would still go again though, great place.

Alte Villa was excellent.
But Lüderitz as a town gave the impression of a town going down, lots of empty houses, no life on the streets, etc.

Despite the miscommunication between the agency that booked our accommodation and the guest house. It was quite a nice stay. Just would have liked if the owner came to talk to us.

A very friendly place indeed! The staff and hosts were very helpful and friendly. Upon our arrival no time was wasted to check us in and shown our very lovely rooms. We stayed upstairs in Charlotenthal. I loved the eclectic decoration, blending period pieces with more modern finishing. A great deal of love and care went into this place… It made us feel part of the history of Luderitz! The kitchen was just so pretty with everything needed for a longer stay. The bedrooms were exceptionally spacious and comfy. Wi fi worked perfectly, lovely cosy little lounge with flat screen TV and and a pristine bathroom with an effective shower and more than enough warm water. Everything is squeaky clean and neat! Very quiet setting even though you are within walking distance from the harbour. We had dinner at Essenzeit, a German restaurant on the harbour. I ate the best hake and mash ever! We slept very well and had a sumptuous breakfast in a very lovely setting. If you are not that good with stairs you may want to ask for a room downstairs. We had no problem with it though and thought it very quaint!

A perfect, pet friendly guest house in the heart of Luderitz! We enjoyed staying here so much! The staff are so friendly & helpful. We stayed in the garden apartment and it was amazing. The room is a really good size with a lovely garden that Elsa could enjoy. The bed was perfectly comfortable and they have good quality bedding, with a good size TV with satellite tv.
There are so many personal touches that made this stay so memorable. I loved that we got hot water bottles in our bed every night, we so enjoyed the afternoon cake and coffee that was prepared everyday. The deck has beautiful views and the guest house is central and close to everything. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the staff for creating such a relaxing, yet homely feeling for us while staying!

Excellent place to stay. Lovely atmosphere. The staff are all exceptional. Friendly & efficient. Our room was one of the apartments and it was lovely and clean & bright. With parking spot right outside the door. Breakfast was very good with amazing croissants. Had dinner there one night and it was good. The cake every afternoon varied in the type but was always delicious!

Great, modern and very nice rooms. The service is just the best. Due to cold weather we got a hot water bottle for the night — without even asking. Every question has been answered very fast and the staff was super courteous. Dinner is very great and the cake at tea time was always freshly made and really tasty!
Bruno the house dog is just theeee cutest. The terrace is great for reading or playing some cards. The dining area as well as the reading corner are so comfy and nice — you just wanna stay there. The rooms are awesome. Very big, offer everything you need and are furnished with lovely details.
Just try it out!

Lovely old German house, converted to a comfy guest house. Rooms are big, good quality beds and bed linen, decent bathrooms, lots of storage. We had two adjacent rooms with a large and lovely sitting / private dining room with huge windows out to a veranda. The breakfasts were generous and good too.
Alte Villa has an old world charm. The staff are happy, kind, fun, and eager to please — a sign of a happy employee we felt. We loved our couple of nights here, and loved Luderitz. It's quirky, small town where you get a real feel of Namibia.

Extremely nice place to stay. All rooms are different with interesting decorations that reflect the local attractions. Great common area and a nice deck overlooking the town and harbor. Quick walk to restaurants and shops. Great staff and breakfast.
