We have had 2 lovely nights here with very attentive staff (journey magicians) who were always happy to help. An excellent breakfast on both days — served with a smile!

We spent a night in this hotel upon arriving in Namibia. The room was very spacious and offered all expected amenities. Breakfast was fine too. Great service as well. We can recommend this place.

We stayed here 3 nights before/after our guided drive around Namibia with Ultimate Safaris. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel had a lovely sitting lounge area with books where you can enjoy a drink and meet other guests. We didn't use the pool — a simple area. A highlight of our stay was the excellent meals — we had breakfast daily, dinners daily and a lunch — all delicious and plentiful; and the service from the team, especially Jacob, was fantastic. The location is not within walking distance of the city area — this did not bother us as we had guided tours pick us up etc.

Our family of 4 (kids age 14 and 11) stayed here at the start of our Safari and were very happy we did. We could have stayed longer because the property is great and the service was fantastic.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night at the start of our Namibian self drive and also at the end as part of our 21 day trip through Safari Frank in Australia and Ultimate Safaris in Namibia. The guesthouse is an ideal stopover before the next destination, its extremely clean, well presented, helpful staff, lovely meals and secure. Highly recommend it, we have one word — Thankyou, Harry and AnnMarie.

Lovely hotel for our one night in Windhoek before heading off on our travels. Lovely hotel but the thing I remember most is how friendly and helpful all the staff were. A fabulous start to our holiday.

Perfect start to a Namibia holiday. A scenic 30 minute drive from the airport, located in a quiet community elevated above the city. A very European guest house vibe with attentive staff and comfortable rooms. A pleasant pool patio with shaded lounge chairs is a great place to unwind after traveling. A terrific kitchen serving imaginative and delicious entrees.

Galton House is a pure gem. Outstanding service from the moment we arrived. Greeted with freshly brewed iced tea. Very helpful and friendly staff. Property is spacious then it appears online. Open interior common areas as well as outdoor spaces. Very clean and well taken care of property. We had our meals here and they were outstanding. This stayed here as our jumping off point to our safari adventure. We would stay here again and highly recommend.

Lovely Hotel, great service and very good food!
Nice rooms, tea and kettle available, as well as cooling and heating of the rooms. Very clean and hygienic. Adapters and USB ports available throughout. Food was absolutely amazing, 3 courses and at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was also delicious, great selection of food available.

Great place to start your journey through Namibia!
We stayed in this place at the start of our trip through Namibia and felt very much welcome and safe here. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were spacious! The food was mostly homemade and very tasty. We would love to return in the future!

The food was amazing. Homemade bread for breakfast. We also had lunch there which was wonderful as well. Our family room was perfect. The staff is amazing very nice and polite and helpful. The guesthouse is located in a very secure part of town.

Like other travellers this is our first and last stop of our Namibian tour and it’s a great start. The service is great and hospitality/team excellent and attentive without being obtrusive. Very clean and very comfortable we had a great sleep after a long day’s travel. Highly recommended.

Charming hotel. The staff is amazing.
Food was good. Room is very clean.
The rooms need AC on in advance of guest check in. No sheets on the bed. (So a hot room & blankets dont mix).
No wash cloths. Bed was hard and pillows not so comfortable. No black out curtains and light were directly outside my room.

Galton House was the starting point for our trip to Namibia. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and availability of the staff. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The bedding was also particularly appreciated, especially after a long journey from Europe. We would recommend this experience to future travellers.
