What a wonderful find! We had just spent a week roughing it in southern Namibia and I almost cried with relief when we walked in. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking Windhoek. It was the size of an apartment and was tastefully decorated. Everything was perfect from A-z. We even started a fire in the little wood burning stove because it was cold out. There is lovely landscaping; and you can hear the birds chirping in the bushes. It’s a lovely neighborhood. The shower was nice with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was super comfortable, and the floor in the bedroom was heated. The kitchen is well equipped, but obviously there’s no food because it’s self catering. To find restaurants and a supermarket, you have to walk a half mile down hill on some spotty sidewalks, but you have to go to Joe’s Beerhouse located at the foot of the hill! The owner of the property, Monica, is so charming and lovely, it was a pleasure meeting her as well. I have nothing negative to say about the experience.
Felsenblick is a top-quality guesthouse located in a quiet part of Klein Windhoek with a nice view at the nearby hill. The guesthouse is family owned & managed and offers 2 self-catering apartments. Furnishings and decoration provide a pleasant atmosphere. Complimentary parking at the property. The lady-owner is very friendly & helpful.
We had a very nice apartment, with spacious living room & kitchen, roomy bedroom, bathroom and separate toilet. All was super clean. The living room had desk & chair, club-chair & bench with coffee-table, TV, and wood-stove. We had a covered terrace with table & chairs (nice for having breakfast). The well outfitted kitchen had fridge & freezer, sink, oven & stove top, toaster, and all pans and cutlery you need. Complementary tea, coffee & cookies. We had a separate bedroom with wardrobe & safe, and a good king-size bed. The separate bathroom had washbasin and shower, and the toilet was separate. All windows and doors have mosquito screens. Felzenblick is a charming & well maintained guesthouse, and we had an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
