Absolutely the best campsite in Namibia in terms of quality of facilities. Each plot has its own toilet and shower block, with a little roofed area, an outdoor basin, a braai grill and a rooftop terrace. All the facilities looked brand new and were very clean. The hot shower was fantastic, plenty of water and excellent temperature. Check-in was quick and easy. The roofed area was big enough for a large table and four chairs. The rooftop terrace was fantastic for sunset and stargazing. The plots were not too close together, and while you can see other campers, you can’t hear them. There was Wi-Fi at the shop/reception area, but we didn’t try it. It was too cold to use the pool, but it looked nice. The price for two in June 2026 was $650 / £30, half of what we paid for the NWR campsite! The camp is located just outside the main gate, so if you are not too bothered about catching the sunrise on the dunes or want a hot shower after you hike Big Daddy, I would absolutely recommend this site!

Oasis is definitely the correct word for this campsite! Each site has a luxurious private bathroom and shower. The showers are so hot and refreshing.
The pool is so cold and a perfect way to cool off from the desert heat. The store is also well stocked with dinner ingredients and has a decent wine and beer selection.
This is the ideal spot to stay while exploring Sossusvlei and the Namib Nakluft Park.

Great location and facilities. The ablution facilities are very well done, and the rooftop deck is such a great feature. But don't take the sites in the middle — I think its numbers 9-12 — a generator to top up the batteries is nearby and it ran several times in the night. We found it quite loud. They allowed us to move further away for our second night and it was fine. Strongly suggest soundproofing the generator guys! This is the desert, and quiet is important to some of us. I know not everyone who goes there is a nature lover, but we had neighbours that clearly weren't unfortunately — a Polish group on one side that were loud till late and from early, and an Afrikaaner family on the other side that had the equivalent of a camping streetlight — rather destroying the night sky vista. Maybe we were just unlucky, as most of the other sites seemed to have fairly quiet and low-key campers. I suppose this is just about the most touristy area in Namibia, so we should probably have expected all types and temperaments. Nevertheless it might be useful for management to be aware of some of these comments. Overall its a great place and we'd probably go back there if in the area. We would try and get site 18 however — its the best for those wanting to enjoy the desert and night sky vistas.
