The Peacock Lodge is lovely. The grounds are well-kept and quiet, the rooms are sunny and clean, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. We arrived at 6am and were greeted with tea and fruit. The staff, especially Momo (unsure of spelling) were phenomenal; extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We found ourselves wanting to stay at the lodge for meals just to enjoy the food, the peace and quiet, and to have conversations with the owner and staff. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone traveling in Mandalay. The staff can help you organize taxis, boat rides, and just about anything else you might need during your trip.
