Riad Nora

A wonderful riad in Marrakech! Clean, quiet, and conveniently close to the main square. The hospitality was outstanding—special thanks to Aziz and Mohammed for making our stay so enjoyable!

There were quite a few issues with our stay, but I’ll start with the positives. Riad Nora is beautiful, well-maintained, spacious, and very comfortable for a family stay. We arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed with a delicious dinner prepared by their local cook in the riad’s kitchen. That was a lovely touch. We stayed for 4 nights (with a short break in between), and they allowed us to leave our luggage while we were away, which was very convenient. Breakfast was also good, with plenty of options.
However, things took a turn when it came to billing. All items, including the airport pickup, had VAT/Tax added. They even charged a city tax for our 2-year-old, and when questioned, they blamed it on Booking. Com. Our child fell sick during the stay, so we requested a simple lentil soup. To our shock, they charged €21 for it — I haven’t paid that much for soup even in New York City! When we raised this, the manager unapologetically justified the charge.
What could have been a beautiful stay was unfortunately overshadowed by the manager’s attitude. Thankfully, we enjoyed our last day in Marrakech at another riad just next door. We will not be returning to Riad Nora.

I had an amazing stay at Riad Nora! The atmosphere was warm and authentic, and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh local ingredients, and the location was ideal — peaceful, yet close to everything. I highly recommend Riad Nora and would happily stay again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riad Nora, and everything about the experience was simply perfect. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and Moroccan hospitality that instantly made me feel at home.
The riad itself is stunning – beautifully restored with authentic architecture, peaceful courtyards, and a rooftop terrace that offers lovely views over the medina. My room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. It truly felt like a tranquil oasis away from the busy streets of Marrakech.
The staff were exceptional – always friendly, attentive, and eager to help with anything I needed, whether it was directions, booking excursions, or just sharing local tips. Breakfasts were delicious, fresh, and served with care in the courtyard – a lovely way to start each day.
The location is perfect too: tucked away in the medina but just a short walk from major attractions like the Bahia Palace and Jemaa el-Fnaa.
If you’re looking for an authentic, relaxing, and memorable stay in Marrakech, I can’t recommend Riad Nora enough. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A beautiful and authentic house nestled in the heart of the Medina. Tucked away in the old town, it was the perfect place for our stay—we truly enjoyed every moment.

They ask 20 euro for each person dinner but is horrible.
Do yourself a favor. Don’t go to these place.
I been Marrakech many times but I suggest. Rent. And apt by Airbnb Much much better.

The worst place I ever stayed! Located inside The Medina, we arrived for New Year’s Eve, the room, since we get there you feel the room smells to gasoline, as well it was absolutely cold! The calefactor didn’t work at all. The lunch at the arrival was cold, salty and strong spiced with local spices. The towels old and dirty, the faucet broken. But the service from the manager was aggressive and he denied all the issues. We left the place and other customers did the same at the middle of the reservation without any apologies or refund!

Very nice riad in a strategic but quiet position. The room was nice and clean, even better than what I expected from pictures. We loved the rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served.

My experience was exceptional!
The room, facilities, beauty… everything was impeccable, I recommend it and without a doubt I intend to return and I will definitely stay at this Riad.

We were very well looked after by Aziz, Mohamed and the ladies that worked at the Riad Nora. It was very clean and tidy. Abundant breakfast, always served on time. Hoping to return soon.

Aziz and Mohammed were the best hosts for my family during our stay. He arranged for our transport to the hotel (around 15-18 euros depending on time of day) during our very early flight at 1:30am and made sure we got there safe. He communicated quickly through the Expedia message app which made us feel at ease whenever we had questions about our stay. We were greeted by Mohammed who showed us to the second floor room which had an amazing view from above. Breakfast was prepared every day in traditional Moroccan fashion and was really good! Each room had air conditioning which is a great for those hot Summer nights. And each room is decorated beautifully with traditional Moroccan furniture and art. Aziz and Mohammed were very accommodating as they offered to move us to the downstairs bedroom because of the construction next door (not their fault). They went above and beyond, even going to the workers themselves to see if they could stop construction. My mom is a very light sleeper and Aziz was more than happy to help her get her a good nights rest. Additionally, we also booked our reservation with 3 nights in stead of 4 and Aziz only charged us for the base room rate, what a generous man. He felt like family to us and we really appreciate his help in making our trip more comfortable. P. S. The day we left Aziz and the staff were preparing the Riad for a full cosmetic remodel, meaning it’s going to look even more amazing than when we stayed.

Staff was super friendly and the property beautiful. You can have dinner there but make sure you book ahead. For $15 US you can get a transfer to and from the airport which is great and convenient. Across the alley is another hotel with a great rooftop dinner as well. Make sure to take your breakfast on the upstairs Terrace in the morning!

The staff were exceptional. I received a message the day before our arrival to offer a taxi service, which was nice. Upon arrival, we were welcomed warmly with some traditional mint tea before being shown to our room. The room was lovely with plenty of space for our family of four.
Staff were always friendly and happy to have conversations, give us advice on places to visit, booked us a taxi and helped arranged an excursion for us, too. Breakfast was delivered with a smile every morning and we also had dinner here on our last day.
The terraced area was a beautiful, quiet section of the riad, that my family loved. We spent at least one hour per day relaxing here and often more!
Location was perfect. Close enough to walk to the traditional souks and main square but in a quiet side street, away from the hustle and hectic nature of those areas.
Everything about it was perfect. My family and I loved it.

This way we wish the team of Riad Nora from the bottom of our hearts all the best in 2023! With my husband and daughter (16) we spent wonderful days in October in this wonderful oasis of calm and discovered Marrakech. The service and hospitality were wonderful — all the staff were very helpful. The spacious room was clean, quiet and beautifully furnished. We slept very well. The food was also excellent. The location is perfect and you can walk to everything. The highlight is the beautiful roof terrace with great views and birds chirping in the morning. Amazing Riad! We regretted we didn’t stay here our first 9 days in Marrakech. We chose a bigger hotel the first days because there was a pool, but this Riad was fantastic. We liked the location, the rooms, the toilet was super nice and clean and in the bathrooms there were artesian made shower gel, shampoo and body lotion with local spices. The view from the terrace at the rooftop were great and totally relaxing with a lot of plants and small birds. The breakfast was super nice and fresh — great to eat homemade scramble eggs and flat bread. The staff was service minded and helpful. Simply perfect place. If I’m so lucky to go to Marrakech again, I’ll definitively stay at Riad Nora.
