Riad Anabel

Had an amazing 2 night stay at Riad Anabel. Habiba and her team are so hospitable and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The riad and room felt so completely traditional, and just what you would want to experience in Marrakech, it is centrally located in the heart of the medina and getting there went smoothly, from collection at the airport, to our luggage being transferred via cart and delivered straight to our room! The mint tea and Moroccan biscuits on arrival was a lovely touch while we waited for our room.
The room itself was beautifully decorated with rose petals (felt like we were in the honeymoon suite! ), and had amenities that you might need including fridge, robes, toiletries, air con, iron, and hairdryer. The rooms overlook the central courtyard where tea and meals are served. There is also a comfortable dining room and a roof top area with sun loungers where breakfast was served.
We enjoyed a home cooked meal on one night which was delicious, traditional vegetarian starters, followed by lemon chicken tagine and creme caramel — we were absolutely stuffed! Breakfast was also plentiful with breads, pastries, a bowl of cereals, yogurt, fruit, various jams/chocolate spread/cheese spreads/honey, then if that wasn't enough… bubbling shakshuka eggs arrived in a tagine!
No hesitation in saying an absolutely wonderful experience and would recommend you stay here to experience some Moroccan hospitality at its best!

This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in, and my family and I had a magical experience from start to finish. The beautiful décor and welcome mint tea when we arrived immediately made an impression. The staff were warm and professional throughout our stay. Breakfast on the terrace was a particularly memorable experience. I would encourage guests to try the hammam treatment with Zahra — my skin was so smooth afterwards!
The staff were particularly kind and attentive to my 4 year old son. We made memories to last a lifetime and I hope we will return again soon.

Amazing experience, Riad beautiful, Every room different but all lovely. Everything is clean well kept and vibrant traditional Moroccan feel. From the moment you arrive The staff are really helpful and offer you mint tea.
Breakfast is served upstairs on the rooftop in lovely garden surroundings looming over the rooftops.
We will definitely stop here again it is a beautiful oasis of tranquility against the madness that is Marrakesh.

OMG—where do I even start?!
Riad Anabel has hands down been one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed—without breaking the bank. The prices are super affordable, and the amenities completely exceeded my expectations.
First, a quick note for fellow travelers: when I first saw the word "Riad, " I assumed it meant hotel, but in Morocco, a Riad is a traditional bed and breakfast, usually family-owned and intimate—not part of a chain. Riad Anabel only has about 4 or 5 rooms, which made our stay feel incredibly personal. I went with a group of friends, and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves!
The rooms? Stunning. Gold-accented toilets, a high-tech shower that tells you the temperature and duration (so fun! ), and everything smelled incredible—like Moroccan spices and orange blossom. Despite the modern features, the Riad still felt authentic and grounded in local culture. You know you're in North Africa.
I usually struggle to sleep when I’m away from home, but here? I slept like a baby. The bed was insanely comfortable and the vibe so peaceful. The staff also helped us coordinate several activities and excursions, which were seamless and so much fun.
Marrakech felt very safe, and everyone we met was welcoming and kind. I honestly regret not staying longer—but that just means I’ll definitely be back!

After reading the reviews, we're so glad we booked to stay here. Communication with the riad was fast right from the beginning — all questions answered very quickly and they also offered additional services such as a pick up from the local CTM bus station to the riad, which was well worth it so we didn't get lost in the medina.
The riad itself was stunning. Beautiful architecture and huge attention to detail in the decor and design — it really felt like an experience rather than staying in another generic room. It's right in the medina and only a short walk from the square and Bahia Palace — so very accessible for the sights.
The room facilities are great, with everything you could possibly want including air con, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, bath robes, lots of toiletries, a fridge with water and flatscreen TV, lots of lighting options in the room to suit your mood.
On ground level there is a small plunge pool, great for using on hot days and you're given additional towels to dry off (or you can take the bathrobes from your room). You also have comfortable seating areas and we took breakfast down here (although you can use the roof terrace if you prefer).
We stayed in the Rose Room which had a lounge area, seperate bedroom and bathroom — the decor was simply stunning and authentic. The bed was huge, very comfortable with a selection of pillows, soft or harder, so something to suit (with a dodgy neck this was a big plus for me).

Just recently stayed for 4 nights with my partner. It was truly a 5 star experience ✨️ We were greeted by wonderful friendly staff serving tea and biscuits and were able to check in to our room early. The room was beautiful and every amenity you could ask for. Riad Anabel is as described in other reviews, an oasis of calm but just 5 mins from the Medina. Due to the heat we made use of the sunbeds on the beautiful terrace every day. The breakfast which was varied every morning set us up for the day. The staff were amazing and kindly arranged transfers and even printed off boarding passes for us. I have already recommended to friends and family and will definitely be back! My family and I have just come to the end of a one week stay at Riad Anabel. We stayed in the Rose (Quadruple) Room which was beautifully decorated, air conditioned and had a fridge to store cold drinks which was very much appreciated given the temperatures outside. The breakfasts at the Riad were fantastic as others have previously mentioned and the staff are brilliant. Habiba and Fouad in particular helped us to sort excursions and taxi transfers. They also had loads of helpful advice which meant we could get the most out of our stay. Other staff members were also excellent and kept the Riad spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend Riad Anabel to anyone wishing to stay in Marrakech and would like to thank the management and staff for making our stay so memorable.

Staying at Riad Anabel was a lovely oasis within the bustling Marrakech. The rooftop garden/terrace is awesome for any plant lover and taking breakfast up there, reading or just relaxing after a long day of exploring is really nice. The space has a fragrant aroma of rose wafting throughout. The daily breakfast service is a great way to start the day and included within the price of the stay. The owner/manager, Habiba, is very welcoming and glad to assist with recommendations on rental cars, making arrangements for activities, etc. Riad Anabel is located in a quiet alley just a few turns and 7-10 min walk away from the very busy and lively Jemaa El Fna square. The Wi-Fi was a reliable and the rooms were decorated so uniquely. Would totally recommend this place!
