Dar Hafsa is a beautiful place tucked away just off the main Street heading into the old Medina. We arrived by train to Fes, and called to let them know we were coming. We took a taxi to Bab Boujloud (the blue gate) and were instantly greeted by Mohammed who walked us to the hotel (between the maze of streets and the constant bombardment of people offering to "help" it would have been a challenge to without him). The property itself is wonderful, and all of the staff were great. They went above and beyond when we were scammed at the Cascade Hotel restaurant by a server who greatly overcharged us. We told Sophian what had happened, and that we intended to return to the restaurant to confront them. Sophian called the owner of Dar Hafsa, who then called the owner of the Cascade. We were instructed to return to the restaurant and ask for the manager, who in turn refunded us nearly our entire bill with no questions asked. If we return we will absolutely stay here again! Thank you to all of the staff at Dar Hafsa for making us feel welcome and going above and beyond with your service!

Since it is a bit hidden in the medina, it is safer to be picked up at the entrance of the medina at the beginning (even if the locals are very helpful and think they know the way…)
