Good value and the location is tops. Close to shopping mall with a large grocery store and Costa Coffee (similar to Starbucks). Staff is friendly and helpful setting up tour for me. Close to a 5-star rating, but some small improvements needed.

Good location right in the city center. A pretty short walk to the Medina. Hotel is very nice. The rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is great! Check in process was a little weird as their computers were down and I had to wait a while for them to be back up. Then they tried to get me to pay a second time because they didn't see I already paid online. I assume that isn't a normal thing though… Overall a good value and I'd stay again.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and good service.

If I want about this Hotel I can't say anything more the super amazing. The best thing is breakfast it's excellent I want ti say thanks to who prepat the food their because I I never ever proof it. But the negatve thing is the rooms are not so clean and them smile is bad by the way.

Positive: The location very good in a place Hurban also the food especially the breakfast very excellent and very tasty negative: the service of Dormetorios are bad.

The Barcelo had the potential to be a great stay, the room was great and I really would have enjoyed it despite the horrid customer service. When I arrived, I was told that my reservation had been cancelled an hour earlier because my card had been "declined. " It turned out that the hotel had overbooked and was trying to solve the problem by telling numerous guests the same story that I was told. Finally after 2 hour of being told that there was nothing they could do, they managed to somehow find me a room. My advice; do yourself a favor and avoid the Barcelo at all costs.

It is without a doubt the worst Barceló where a person can stay. The cleanliness of the common areas leaves a lot to be desired (very dirty and disgusting bathrooms), the state of the rooms is unfortunate and the attention is even worse. I stayed one night with my family and I don't remember worse experience in my life in a hotel too expensive for what it offers and how badly managed it is.

Fabulous hotel. Wi-Fi didn’t really work that well but the rest was great. Staff fairly helpful. Breakfast was great. Rooms very spacious and clean. Great location, close to the medina. Would stay again.

A decent hotel in a modern style in the city center. 5 minutes to the train and bus station. Very cozy rooms with zoning. Breakfast is not good. Despite the stated 5 stars, do not expect fast service and bathrobes in the rooms) ) ).

Nice Hotel and with surprise we found a machine for Nespresso coffee after so many crappy coffees finally a good coffee as we Italians like.

Nice Hotel with shopping mall next door. As in all Morocco maintenance problems The main flaw in the rooms. The dining room a mess as soon as it gets a little crowded. Small Buffet. I expected more from the Barcelo brand.

I spent 4 wonderful nights at Baracello-Fes, everything is clean, I felt being in few of Europe hotels where I was based before. I have two comments to make: (1) Being from Marrakech and seeing a lot of similarities with Fes old downtown, I felt a need to see old-fashion and Moroccan cultural-designs — styles missing inside Barecelo-Fes, to remind me about what I know about few hotels I love in Marrakech, like Sofitel-Marrakech. It would be very creative and charming to have Barcelo-Fes’ inside places with beautiful Moroccans cultural-designs — assets. This would make it further exceptional mixing and harmonizing the already existing European style and the available and rich Moroccan ones. (2) Have the personal during breakfast time (my own experience) not repeating the same sentences when approaching-talking with the clients who want to rest enjoying their meals. Warm services should be delivered without imposing to clients to talk when served and surtout repeating the same sentences. Over all: I spent a wonderful – warm 4 nights at Barcelo-Fes … I will be back again, that’s for sure! I would encourage my friends from Boston/USA to be based at Baracelo-Fes.

Fine Hotel, secure underground parking and excellent location.

In kindness and treatment, they have earned an outstanding. Very good food. Spacious and comfortable rooms.

The hotel is correct, has certain shortcomings, has no bidet or bathtub, the water leaves the shower tray, the right room without bragging, the location excellent, the staff excellent.

I enjoyed my time there I liked the rooms, the pool and the service Good location next to the mall.

The hotel is in a great location however I will not consider it a 4 star hotel. I consider it a 3 star hotel instead. The rooms are musty and the reception staff is rude.

Hotel very well situated, on the side of the city centre and the medina. Deluxe and Superior Room (2m2 less) spacious, noisy at the beginning of the evening and then it calms down quickly. Room SUP has some maintenance faults (electrical outlet removed) but satisfactory general condition. Pleasant baggage Service. The breakfast was a little expensive but very nice. Restaurant closer to European prices but plentiful. Parking, Count 50dhm per day, spa (+ gym) with subscription 600DHM day. Nice Hotel but price a little high.

It's like getting into a 50-year-old movie. Outdated and lacking in maintenance. Bathroom sink lost water, shower drain clogged. A defective elevator continued to run until someone was caught and couldn't get it out for half an hour. The person (an elderly lady) had to crawl to leave for a space of 30 cm. Small restaurant for the amount of people staying and full of smoke. Wifi Defective. They didn't wash the glasses and replenished the clean towels at 3:00 in the afternoon. The location is very good but they don't come.

Chic and modern in the heart of the city.

After 1 week in the hotel, this has been our experience:
Reception: Good treatment and attention, but if you do not dominate English or French you will have it difficult as they do not speak Spanish.
Room: Ample and of quality acceptable but with little maintenance (painting, tiles…). First day without towels, took to change the light fundadida of the bedroom 5 days. Cleaning is limited to visible areas.
The elevator was picked up while we were inside from the fifth floor to the basement, not causing damage.
No one responded to the emergency signal, so we had to open it to the force to get out.
Dining Room: Large buffet.
At 10 o'clock the waitresses and cooks left the service, being the closing time of the buffet the 10.30.
The orange juice was charged as an extra (1, €5)
In short, the experience has not been bad but has not reached the level of expectations.

Snack open in the afternoon, very good reception of the bar team, very pros.

I love the city of Fez, a real search for urbanization like the big cities of Morocco that I could see: Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat, they are clean and bright especially Marrakech the beautiful ochre city! The Hotel Barcelo-Fes is sincerely well-kept, the staff are welcoming, smiling and available. The employees make a lot of communication effort, the rooms are very well kept, and the restoration of very good quality shows a search for culinary varieties of good craftsmanship and excellent cleanliness. I am determined to come back here for several individual stays out of the traditional pilgrimage circuit on Chaa Allah!

All right except 3 things 1. No Children's pillows; We asked for a crib but there were no pillows, we asked at the front desk and they told Q they didn't have it.
2. The toilet has it almost on the bathroom ceiling, I measure 1, 91 and it cost me to keep my feet on the ground 3. For 2 people to pay 30 euros of supplement for breakfast, I find it a bit excessive.

Staff friendly room and services in accordance with the hotel stars impeccable service.

Despite the bartender's very strong concern for doing well, the lack of a cocktail menu is a big lack. However the Cosmopolitan he offered me was very nice, for 100 Ehd.

Room, Reception, and Pool were good. Tub in bathroom was worn down. Food is average and priced too high compared to nearby restaurants.

I was there for an event and I had some good times.

My family and I were greeted by Mr. Jaouad, the hotel manager, who was very welcoming and polite. He helped us to check in very quickly to our rooms earlier than scheduled, which was a great help. The rooms are equipped with basic toiletries, a kettle (teabags and cups too), two chairs, a writing desk, luggage support table, blackout drapes and sun deflecting net curtains, flat screen LED TV (with a variety of channels), an in-room safe and plenty of storage space. There is also a fancy room divider which was a nice touch. Wifi on the 4th floor was intermittent during our stay but was corrected on the day of our checkout. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed for maintenance, mainly due to the winter season (despite it being a lot warmer than our native London). There is a gym room on the first floor which is clean and nice to use. Location is perfect! There are a string of cafes and restaurants in the local area, including the Borj Fes shopping centre. Taxis are aplenty and it's a quick 5 minute drive to Bab Boujeloud and the same to the train station. Hotel staff were very courteous and polite, this coupled with room amenities, price and location, make this an ideal place to stay for tourists (families and solo adventurers alike). Hotel Barceló Medina Fez: A Simple Place Close to Old Medina On my way to Marrakech, I spent a couple days recuperating from a journey that I loved so much. I stayed in Hotel Barceló Medina in Fez. This is a four star hotel and it has all the amenities’ you would need, such as Wi-Fi, safe in the room, business center, and fitness center. The hotel offers numerous dining choices. A cafe is located on-site as well as a jazz bar. A more formal place is the Azahar international bistro. Room service is available 24 hours. It is a beautiful hotel and the guest rooms are adorned with chic decor inflections and fashionable furnishings. Centrally positioned, the hotel is close to various national sites and attractions. I visited the Jewish Cemetery, Royal Palace and the Blue Gate is no more than two miles away. All are within walking distance and I feel safe walking with friends. Though the city is safe, I walk with others. You can also ask the hotel to fletch you a cab. For a small fee, the cab driver can take you to all places. I like to highlight that this is a handicap friendly hotel. Again, do remember you are in Africa so you might compare with, “back home. ” Please be kind to the staff. Morocco is trying to adapt to the great of numbers of tourist coming and it is worth the trip – this country is unique! Happy Travels.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, welcoming concourse but all that is well and good however… you stay here for more than 3 nights and your patience will soon run its course. with staff who don't understand basic english, with restaurant who doesn't know whats on the menu, to extremely poor Wifi speed, these things do take a toll. it becomes evermore frustrating when you can't even convey simple things in english. But having said that staff smile, friendly but it doesn't help. Be ready with bags of patience if staying here for more than 3 nights. (and if your English)

I have enjoyed this hotel for three days in February 2015 and I have to say that I found no failings : exquisite food, general cleaning and peace of mind in addition to good environment. I highly recommend it.

Impossible Wi-Fi even after I pointed out to the front desk. It is not tolerable for a hotel like this that remains significant outside business and need to login.

A considerable effort must be made on hygiene (towels not changed, dirty sheets not changed).

A bit pricey (1500dirahms night) this hotel or the quality of the restaurant (buffet) leaves to be desired reception of the Wi — Fi is poor, tiny window in the room or the bathroom feels the sewers. You pay in advance (pre-approved CB) almost double the price.

I would love to be able to visit Fez. PPR misfortune only I can see online.
