This! You never know what you’ll get when booking online. The Belmont exceeded my expectations. The setting is part jungle, part beach and all paradise. The grounds are kept so well and it feels intimate and beautiful. The beach has comfortable options for lounging and we’ve spent time at two of the three pools. They don’t miss a chance to give little gifts and are always attentive (without being annoying). Room service on our patio capped off our day. The people are perhaps the best part. They know you by name. So friendly and warm! I also highly recommend the spa. It is worth the price for the pampering and quality of service. I got the best pedi and a wonderful poultice massage.

The most beautiful hotel in Riviera Maya. Amazing service and warm and peaceful atmosphere. Maroma is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico and this hotel is perfect for such location.

Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Everyone made us so welcome. The food was delicious good quality and my husbands many request were catered for without as much as a blink of the eye. Our room an ocean suite with dip pool was exquisite and to wake up in the morning to see a turquoise see and then a breakfast tray with tea and coffee was amazing. We had an awesome holiday and will be recommending it to friends etc, sorry our ten days are over Thank you Belmond Maroma we will be back Erica and Martyn Smith UK.

We met some friends for dinner at the restaurant in Belmond Maroma. We were running super late after finishing a tour with our guests and the kitchen stayed open for us! Everything was delicious from the wine until desert… and we had all 4 courses. The hotel is beautiful and if I did not live in the area, I would absolutely be booking a room in the hotel.

This place is not just magical, it’s a state of mind. No words to describe. I hate to share too much of it’s wonder because I don’t want to let the secret out. The food is divine. The resort is old school romantic Mexico with service that is impeccable. No where in the world can match this place.

Harmonious place. Surrounded by lush vegetation. Served by qualified employees. Good drinks and gourmet meals and the popular… Very good entertainment equipment. Pool. Spa. Relax. Extensive beach of white sands. Warm water… But unfortunately zargazos (type of algae Q has invaded 180 km from Riviera Maya)

It Is a beautiful beach to which you can only get to it by visiting the restaurant to go to consume as it is private beach. I recommend it, It's worth It. They have excellent service, have a delicious taste in food and desserts or say.

Amazing suite with ocean views and plunge pool, amazing breakfast, very friendly staff and helpful. Our stay was magical! Make sure to wake up and watch the sunrise.

It is a beautiful beach to which you can only get to it by visiting the restaurant to go to consume as it is private beach. I recommend it, it's worth it. They have excellent service.

Very good value. Spend the day here and consume your "cover" in drinks and food. Staff are nice enough but nothing like other spots we have seen. They are lacking a little in customer service. Beach is amazing.

Playa Maroma in the excellent Resort Catalonia, is a charming place immersed in the wild nature, where you can spend relaxing and enjoyable holidays.

We had a great experience staying 6 nights at the Belmond Maroma Resort last month. The hotel is located between the jungle and the beautiful Caribbean Sea. We received very personalized attention during our time at the resort. The hospitality office, led by Christie Alvarez, did an excellent job making sure our requests were met. We returned to the US with wonderful lasting memories of our stay: The "WELCOME" greeting written in colored rice on our bed the day we arrived, the incredible sunrises from our balcony, the delicious Chef's Table dinner paired with amazing Mexican wines at El Sol, the live music, the wine tasting class conducted by Aaron Alvarez, the superb sommelier, where we learned more about the wine making history in Mexico, and above all, the friendliness and care of all the staff, all of which created experiences we want to repeat in the future. Thank you to all!

We spent 4 days at Belmond Maroma in mid-February. Such a lovely resort. Our room was spacious and quiet, beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. I felt at home immediately. The entire resort is beautiful; beautiful plantings, beautifully maintained, 3 lovely pools, an excellent gym, a spa that I did not use but which looked lovely. I don't recall ever having better food at a resort such as this. Breakfast was really exceptional; so many delicious fruit drinks — — a different special one each morning — — and, at the beach, a variety of snacks and drinks offered intermittently during each afternoon. Best of all, every single person who works at Belmond Maroma was kind, generous, happy, and helpful. They went out of their way to make our time — — and everyone else's — — there a wonderful experience. They could not be finer ambassadors for their country. Also, I want to make special mention of the woman — — I think her name is Marine — — who led our bike tour through the jungle property that is part of the resort. She shared with us much about her grandmother and her Mayan heritage and made our experience of Mexico memorable and important. The only negative I feel I should mention is that, at least for the duration of our brief stay, the Caribbean Sea at our doorstep, though warm, was full of seaweed and debris. I do not know if that was just the accident of our time there or whether it is something normal to the locale.

Amazing complex, beautifuly designed independent buildings with lush green. 3 swimming pools, beautiful spa complex, And white beache with tarquwise water. Service is AMAZING, staff is kind and sensitive, food is absolutely deliscious deffinately should go with the sea food options.

Beautiful place hidden in the Riviera Maya. It is recommended if you look for some category and a lot of tranquility.

It is a quiet place, with a mystical reception, they receive you with incense and copal, it is a combination of Mayan tradition with the comfort of a boutique hotel, where you can simply relax and enjoy the sea and the beach, with safety and highly qualified staff for Take care of the smallest detail. Highly recommended for a romantic weekend and all luxury. The food is amazing and for all tastes.

Belmond Maroma is a true paradise. The restore is absolutely beautiful, perfect for nature lovers, the beach is beyond nice, the water is warm… all the staff worked hard to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The spa service is perfect (the spa room for 2 and the massage was very relaxing), the cream/muds were great, I love the steam room and sauna (with a small pool and shower), the breakfast was beyond amazing from their bread basket,
Warm and fresh breads, homemade yogurt and spreads on top of the best orange juice 100% fresh. The chef's tasting menu was perfect — very accommodating to our changes. The cantina night was fun!
The gym was great too, and every time I worked out, was pretty much empty!
Karen from bike tour was lovely, and Rosa from the front desk too!

Visited Belmond Maroma for the 3rd time. While past visits have been exceptional, they've recently been awarded Forbes 5 Stars and it shows. Service, as always, is the best I've experienced anywhere. All of the little things they do have been tweaked and polished to a new level while still being delivered with genuine hospitality. The food (especially breakfast) is extraordinary, the views are breathtaking, the property is immaculate and the rooms are incredibly comfortable. I look forward to many more visits in years to come!

We loved the Belmond! The resort is charming and romantic! Candles everywhere, this is the place to go to rekindle romance or just relax. They have three pools if you don't want to go to the beach, it is easy to find a nice quiet place to unwind. The pools blend into to the jungle so it just enhances the picturesque serenity and beauty of this charming resort. The beach perfect! The entire staff was warm and kind! Unlike most resorts they are prompt with their service. They have customer service down. Fast, efficient and friendly. The food was great to our surprise! The spa amazing! Best ever! We dove with Jose at the resort and the experience was fantastic! Jose took lots of pictures and gave them to us so we will never forget our first diving experience at the Belmond. Jose made sure we were comfortable and took extra time to help us become better divers. He has an abundance of scuba knowledge and loves to help people. You can tell he loves his job and diving. The resort made such an impression on us we are going back in August.

Had a lovely stay at the Belmond Maroma. A quiet and relaxing hotel with a fantastic spa area. Also has bikes and tennis courts if you fancy some activity. Great beach access and restaurant in a beautiful setting looking out to sea. Could do with some more vegetarian or vegan options. Great staff as well!

Beautiful, secluded and quiet.

First : we are at the Riviera Maya for the tenth time, coming from Germany. This hotel is different to most of the others in this area. It is not as large as the hotels we visited in the last years. It's private, with much comfort. Nice to relax, no TV in the room, enough place to live in calm and private atmosphere. The rooms are clean, big bathrooms with separate toilet and separate shower. The personal is very friendly, specially at the bar and on the beach. The white strand is one of the best at this part of the coast with nice sunbeds. Breakfast was included, no buffet, but a la carte — real good quality. Dinner, wine is for extra charge — — most real expensive. Our only negative experience was on the last day. At our arrival Karla, the lady from the front desk asked for our departure time. We said 3 pm — it was no problem. One day before departure the same — everything was okay! So we told our friends to pick us up at this time. On leaving day we decided to sleep longer, enjoying the next hours at the beach till 3pm. But at 10am we got a call that we have to leave our room immediately. There is no good communication between the people at the front desk. My result: Five stars for the rooms, the stuff on the beach, in restaurants and in the bar, Five stars for the beach and the pool. Four stars for the quality of the food. One star less for the organization and communication at the reception.

Great food and ambience with outstanding villa accommodations.

I have stayed at beach hotels all over the world and this one is simply enchanting. The service is simply impeccable and the food is divine. It's an elegant, lovely, natural place. They are running this hotel perfectly, which is not an easy thing to do and unusual to witness.

The best hotel ever! After staying at many hotels around the world, we have found Maroma to be the best hotel for me and my family. The service is amazing (they have a women making fresh tortillas every morning, ) and the grounds are breathtaking. The beach is beautiful and great to swim in. Bravo.

We booked a day of horse riding and para-sailing thru Best Day from our staff at Riu Playacar. The horse riding was great. It was much longer than advertised. It lasted almost two hours. More than half of which was thru the bush on a raised limestone roadway so very smooth. And the rest was along the beaches thru the resort and along a stretch of non groomed beach. The horses do not go in the water and the saddles are very hard (wood I think). And I know from others experience that leather, water and sand make for very uncomfortable experience. Also I have heard that other area places to not have a smooth surface to ride on (loose stone), and the horses are not as healthy. The horses here are very nice looking and appear very healthy and remain in-line for the most part.
