This unique hotel and amazing restaurant offer hand made Margaritas, the best brick oven pizza and the most chill spot in Playa. Relax by the pool or enjoy the hammocks. Very peaceful!

They advertise pizza to find us Americans. The rest of the menu was incredible. Wonderful setting, friendly, and great meal. Has been a regular visit for years!

Nice hideaway almost on beach. Great food.

I would prefer to leave zero stars. We booked a room and were given a tiny, dirty apartment above the restaurant. Perhaps the cabanas are nice, but this room was unclean and looked like it was being currently lived in by someone. The least they could have done was clean it. Silvia and Helmut were unavailable and unresponsive to our concerns and made it difficult for us to even voice our issue.

A hidden gem off the beaten track but well worth seeking out. Food is great and will satisfy all from young to old. Silvia the owner is always there to oversee things and is really nice. The place has a cool relaxed vibe. Take out service also available. Parking is tight.

I loved the place, there are not many people and super hospitable service host/team.

With some frequency we go out to eat there, the place is catered by the owners, the place is a nice palapa surrounded by gardens and overlooking the pool, has a good bar, and the menu pizzas and the tuna toasts are my favorite.

I loved this place. The staff is awesome. It is not right on the beach. Due to land ownership, you have to take a detour to get to the beach. But they have bikes to loan or it is just a couple minute walk. Other than a very long walk down the beach, the only way to get to Playa is by cab or car. But those were very minor things. The food is great. The drinks are great. The service is great. It is very clean. It is a very small and cozy place which is very different from all the big resorts. Its a great base to explorer Playa Del Carmen. Don't miss the lobster pizza from the wood oven! I'll be back for sure.

Hotel Intimate personel Simpathique.

Great place to stay with super friendly host. We stayed at Coco's while travelling around the Yucatan peninsula. Good value for money and delicious cocktails. It takes only 5 minutes to reach the beach by bicycle and if you are lucky you can even see monkey's on you way.

Had dinner here while staying at a nearby resort. The place is great. The pizza was outstanding and the atmosphere was a perfect break from the busy resort. The owner's son even gave us a ride back to the resort as we had a hard time getting there even though it was within shouting distance. It is absolutely worth the trip and can't recommend it enough. If you don't go you'll miss out on a great experience.

For the price, this was a great little place to stay. It's a very unique property with lots of charm. Sylvia the owner was extremely helpful. The made me a great pizza at 11 pm. Breakfast was great too. I deducted one star because the water from faucets is salty. I only stayed one night so I avoided showering and brushed my teeth with bottled water.

Recently went on vacation with my family at a nearby resort. We ventured to Cocos Cabanas on a whim and did not regret it. In just our ten day stay, we enjoyed dinner three different times. The food is amazing but the staff is even better, they are so friendly and attentive andake you feel like a local. I will definitely be returning to Cocos when I travel back to this area, but for now, I will miss it!

Great pizza. Worth the trip for ty he atmosphere. The restaurant is very comfortable with a tranquil tropical atmosphere you dream. And the prices are amazing even for Mexico. Enjoy!

Twice in 1 Year! What a great place. Excellent accommodations and outstanding food. We came back a second time this year already and looking forward to our next. Helmuth, Sylvia and crew are wonderful hosts.

In paradise, very quiet, and the service is outstanding.

Can't comment on the actual hotel rooms as we stayed next door at Petit Lafitte. We tried Cocos on our 1st night as menu at our hotel looked poor and uninspiring. After 3 nights (our length of stay) we are glad we ate here 3 times. Wether we had pizza, pasta, fish or meats the food was simply delicious.

While I can't review the hotel (because I didn't stay there), I can share my thoughts on the food. Best brick oven pizza and authentic margaritas in the area! Have 5 or more drinks and the bartender will tell you "the secret" behind their margaritas.

Far from downtown, at night is very dangerous to get to that place, in my experience, one side killed one person, had many policemen and that's what they told me, I could not get to the place, the next day to rest them comment owners and said that not passing anything, on the property of a side have problems of possession Dela property told that would just cancel and they hid themselves and did not the face, I had to get out of there without that return me my money, place not this struck the beach, smells much moisture, water for bathing and washing hands is super salty, you brush your teeth gets you a saladisimo flavor, and for bathing, hair it hardens and becomes as Taffy. Nothing do not recommend this place.

Very nice place, stayed here for five nights. Very good pizzas. Beach is 50m to walk, not crowded. City is very far to walk (4km at beach, 7km street), taxi is very expensiv (they take 300pesos, almost 20us $ for this 7 km, so you can almost rent a small car for 2 times taxi a day). Around the hotel/restaurant mangroves are not far, so don't forget your moscito-spray :-)

Beautiful garden area to dine in. Very intimate and romantic at night. Although renowned for their excellent stone pizza oven, they have a full menu with excellent cuisine. Take. Break from the touristy places and check it out. Prices are inexpensive and food quality second to none.

Great cabins, away from the tumult of the people, beaches to walk to the tiredness and the service owners and staff of the Hotel and Restaurant unsurpassed.

I really can't say enough about this place! I had such a great time. The owners Helmut and Sylvia were so wonderful and they had a really great staff. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The food was so delicious that I really didn't want to eat anywhere else. My room was so cool and I really loved the atmosphere. This is exactly what I was looking for when I booked a room there. When I arrived, my towels were made into the shape of a swan. It was so beautiful there and I was able to relax and enjoy myself. I really liked that there were only 5 rooms, so it was like a private hideaway. I found it very interesting that people staying at all inclusive resorts came to eat at Cocos Cabanas when all of their meals were included at their hotels. I love everything about this place and would definitely recommend it to everyone I know. I would love to stay there again.

Very quiet and isolated hotel with very detailed decoration. The access path was not easy but it maid it exciting till we found the location. The best pizza I have eaten since I left Europa.
