A great place for a romantic getaway.

Recently I was about to make a reservation in this hotel that seems beautiful to me and also has very good opinions, however when I called to ask some details of the hotel I was informed that they accept dogs but not small children, that is to say as a mother of a baby of 3 years that prohibit the entry of my baby but if of pets it seemed terrible, that misopedia speaks very badly of the hotel and also of what they try to promote. I hope they will reconsider and stop normalizing that attitude.

Most of the changes since we were last here are for the better, more importantly overall the place retains the charm that made us fall in love with it over 6 years ago.

Service is outstanding, food is beyond fabulous! Spacious, private villas in a small hotel make for an intimate vacation.

Amazing resort. I’ve never had better customer service anywhere else! It’s a small resort but holds big standards and values. Everyone is so attentive and they really want to make your experience a good one. We splurged for the Xaman spa treatment and did not regret — truly the best we’ve had and so romantic! Food was delicious. Im vegetarian and my husband does not eat beef/pork — these guys really accommodated and even had it on their little file at the restaurants which is a big deal to us. Down to the little complimentary hors d'oeuvres they gave out, they would be made specially within our restrictions. The rooms were beautiful and clean. My husband and I did not want to leave, but we will definitely be back someday to enjoy this beautiful resort again ❤️

We stayed here for the last 4 days of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The accomodation and resort was outstanding and offered both a private or social experience. The service by all members of staff was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Unfortunately the sea is dirty with seaweed that fills the entire coastline. There is no longer the crystal clear sea and the white sand because it is covered entirely with algae.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of our honeymoon and it was PERFECT. We are usually pretty active tourists but we only left the hotel once which I think says something about the hotel, staff and the level of luxury and CHILL they create. From the private pools (which you can control the temp) to the rain showers, excellent AC, and outstanding service, this place is designed for you to turn off and relax. They also really are able to vary the food and vibes at dinner so you don't feel like you are on repeat. Special thanks to Leticia and David at the front who really made our honeymoon special, and then Fabian, Alberto and Oscar at the restaurant. Pepe at the pool and my mimosa angel, Francisco. THANK YOU for making it a lovely holiday. It is expensive though, be warned, so make sure you go on the all-inclusive (esp if you like to drink)! We also liked the SPA, great service and treatments there.

Way overpriced, rooms need remodeling, food is poor and the beach is sub-optimal compared to alternatives in the area.

This place is Heaven! Most romantic and relaxing place I have ever been to. The staff is amazing and super catering — Pepe, Jonathan, and Alberto — Thank you! Impeccable food — Chef Neri is genius! Can't stop raving about this place. Can't wait to go back!

Sensational hotel where you live in villas in the middle of a small jungle that has a beach access. The rooms are big and comfortable, air-conditioning is available, and expect to have your own small tub in your room! Take the All Inclusive offer to take benefit of free meals and snacks throughout your stay! There are two restaurants. One that opens all day and another that opens for dinner only. The food is exceptionally delicious! Try the Shrimp Baja Tacos for lunch. One of our fav orders ever, also, the Ice-cream Sandwich never fails to impress! The Spa has a lot of packages to offer, our best pick is the Xaman-ek package where you and your loved one can have a couples massage in a private hut in the middle of the jungle that is intended to celebrate love between the two of you. The massage is so relaxing especially with the sound of small waterfalls in the background. At the end of the massage session, you get to have a wooden log filled with water and herbs as a tub to rest and bath in. Very Mayan for us! The hotel is 15 minutes away from Playa Del Carmen city center, and around 45 minutes — 1 hour away from Cancun's city center and The Isla Mall.

It is a place of peace and tranquility. Ideal to recharge energies and eliminate stress.

Great location, though not a great beach and not protected by the reef further down the coast, great staff. Really disgusting prices for wines though. Seriously this may be a top end place to stay but the prices of wine were just obscene. Same wine (villa Maria) in Playa Carmen in a top end restaurant there £20, UK £10, in the Hotel £120.! Just silly and totally unjustified. Pizza £22, and only just ok. Vegetarian options Limited. Beach service good prices silly again £8 for one beer. Definitely go back but don't pay the truly obscene prices. The hotel group need to revise their attitude to this.

Had the opportunity to get a tour of the Viceroy while at the Azul Fives next door. It is very quiet and the rooms are all independent and built right into the jungle. Waterfalls and natural formations ran through and around the area. Would love to book a vacation there.

Good place for adults and very private. Their small private cabins and the rustic theme are the best.

Grounds were beautiful. Food was not great. Room had LOTS of noise from other rooms. Bath area not separated from bedroom with any type of door.

As all the other reviews said the villas are the best I've been in. The Staff the best I've ever experienced. The food was great. The grounds beautiful. Ocean water floor has big rocks but was fine for me. Beach furniture was nice, options for shade or sun, plenty of beach towels. Basically two places to eat 1 served all meals and the other dinner. We went this October rainy season, first night rain second day heavy rain and thunder storms, there was nothing to do when it was heavy raining out. The rest of my short vacation weather beautiful. The drinks were very weak my opinion, I should of brought a bottle or two at airport. NO nightlife there, no dancing and no regular bar besides the coral grill which was a bar cook area and no Dj by pool or beach very tranquil atmosphere good honeymoon spot I would say. Oh there is the spa and small gym. This place is good if u want a romantic relaxing escape. Not a girls trip or if you want to celebrate at night. I personal like to relax chill and at night celebrate. Don't get me wrong this place is wonderful, staff, food, villas etc.

Stunning setting. You're treated like royalty from the minute you arrive. Impeccable food and service. The beach is pristine and immaculate. There are water sport options on-site. Rooms are clean and private. If we ever come back this way, we'll have to stay here!

Stayed for three nights and my boyfriend and I renamed thus place heaven! The rooms are stunning, the food is delicious and the service is outstanding. Staff knew our names within hours of us being there and they couldn't do enough for you! Stop looking, book here you are in for a real treat!

The ride from the airport wasn't bad at all (straight shoot on the major highway). It's away from all the large resorts that feel like shopping malls. The staff could not have been any more accommodating and friendly: that was really one of the biggest takeaways from this trip. The place is gorgeous, it's quiet and the rooms/huts are so well laid out. Loved using the outdoor shower. It felt very private too. Pepe who works at the restaurant made our trip extremely memorable. We opted to get the massages at the end of the pier at sunset and before we even said anything he was walking down with drinks in hand: made us so happy. Incredible person to have there. If you plan on doing activities around the area (we did snorkeling and jet skiing) the staff is amazing with making it as easy as possible. The ruins at Tulum were really cool too (about 45 minute drive). Loved this resort and everything about this trip!

Love this resort! The resort has great accommodations, but it's the wonderful staff that set it apart! I would absolutely recommend this resort!

Luckily only 2 nights!
We thought because of the high price a luxury hotel to have booked, but far from being missed. In our Villa it stank extremely moldy. The air conditioning blows exactly on the bed that is very uncomfortable. The upholstery on the armchairs and benches were very dirty! In the bathroom were still a lot of hair from the previous tenants.
The Disco noise, at night, from neighboring hotel next door was unbearable.
The beach is just bad, many stones in the sea, alcohol guests from the next hotel…
I think the hotel was fine some years ago, but there are too many cheap and noisy hotels next door. Spend your money elsewhere where you deliver what you promise. Positive: the friendly staff.

Spectacular stay at a jungle surrounded by very comfortable amenities.

Staff always super willing to help, spa lovely, food brilliant. Get the all inclusive package is worth it. Only piece of advice was Wi-Fi was sometimes sketchy, made it hard to work.

We thought for sure the private Villa with our own personal pool would be the highlight of the week. However, the staff made sure that the service was by far the very best part of the entire vacation. From the front desk staff to the spa staff and the pool and Beach servers, we were pampered and waited on hand and foot more so than any other place that I've ever been. Thank you, Francisco, Marcos, Pepe, Alberto, and everyone else that made our week so special! The food was incredible, the privacy was great, and the maid staff even made us little animals out of the towels! No detail was spared and we will make this a destination for many years to come! Unbelievable place to vacation!

My husband and I spent a weekend charming. The hotel is lovely and intimate, with lots of vegetation and waterfalls that make you feel that you are in a jungle place. The staff extremely friendly and the food is very good, even the beach. The rooms are all suites with pool own, hammock, deck chair, etc and all the services are luxurious. We will Return soon.

Incredible food, relaxing environment, intimate and private setting, and phenomenol customer service. My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon so much there, and by the time we left we felt like we had made friends with all those who worked in this beautiful location. They go above and beyond to make sure you love your stay.

I'm just a photographer, and I had to cover a maya ceremony at this hotel. It is a charming and very romantic place. Rooms type bungalows are amazing.

We were staying at the Azul Fives next door and the road to our hotel washed out one night so the Taxi dropped us off at the Viceroy instead. The guards were very polite and escorted us down to the beach so that we could access our hotel from the beach. We were amazed at how beautiful the pathway was to the beach. All of the bungalows were tucked into the forest. It was raining and the pathway was lit. It felt like we were in a fairy tale. We definitely would consider going here when we come back to Cancun. We made friends with one of their guests on the beach from San Francisco and she loved it. We want to thank the Viceroy staff for being so friendly to us in our little predicament.

Personal extraordinary very attentive, the food simple but very good, although it not never dine in the restaurant in covina's author and is supposed to be very good.
To the helpful lacking some details to make it extraordinary, continue on the right track.

I spent a weekend and it was a terrible experience. Both days there was loud music that made the whole experience really bad. On Sat there was a wedding next door with disco music till 7am. Spend your money elsewhere, there is no solitude or relax time in this hotel. Terrible value for your money.
