We stayed at Izla Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Try to get a room that is not facing the construction next door. Our room was next to it and we heard the noise from the construction constantly. The food is very tasty, but unfortunately my boyfriend got sick from the food at the restaurant the first night and he couldn't leave the room for 1, 5 day. The staff at the front desk was not very helpful, even though it was the hotel's food that made him sick. I stayed at the hotel during his sickness period because I wanted to be close to him if his condition got worse, therefore I got my meals at the hotel. And then I also got sick from their food. (We have been traveling in Cuba and Mexico for almost 2, 5 week, our stomachs are not weak! ). I would expect MUCH more from a hotel, especially considering the price you pay.
The hotel is nice and obviously new, but our experience was not so good. They are still finishing the hotel AND repairing the hotel right next to this one, so you wake up and go to sleep with all the noises making the stay a lot less relaxing, that was what we needed. We told this to the people at the reception to see if they could change our room, to one where the sound wasn't so loud, but they didn't. Anyways, during the full following day they installed the balcony bars and the sound of the drill was heard from all over the place. Wish they would be honest about this, specially when the price is not cheap. Breakfast wasn't what I expected, it was well presented but very poor. The staff was really great, especially the guys in the bar by the pool!

Great hotel. Spent 1 night there to try something different while in Cancun. Great group of employees. Very friendly. The pools and bars are also great! Not a big fan of the beach there. The sand is not the best. But that still doesn’t take away from the great experience I had there.
