Rooms leak copious amounts of water. Outdated design and design flaws. Food is good but repetitive. Service is great, the people working there are amazing. Not many amenities to choose from. If you'd like a reservation at the restaurant it is first come first serve on the day of, so if you're not an early riser don't expect a spot. Unfortunately the outstanding service isn't enough to make me return.

This is a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff — however at the moment it’s undergoing quite a lot of construction work, making accessing most of the areas more difficult (especially with a pram) as there is only one working lift in the main lobby, and if you are staying in the annex, you cannot access the pool/restaurant without having to go all the way through the lobby and restaurant. Once the work is finished, I am sure this will be much better! There is one main restaurant, and an Italian for a la carte reservations (without kids under 12) — however if you ask nicely, they will let you sit in the terrace with kids! There are two pools, with the kids one closing surprisingly early at 18.00 and the main pool with a bar. The food in the main restaurant was pretty good, with a good selection changing daily, the snack bar and other food facilities were also good. The beach is lovely, with great access and facilities and really friendly and helpful waiting staff. It also has beach football and volleyball and massage facilities. I don’t know about the rooms in the main building, as we stayed in the annex, but they were feeling a little old and tired. Hopefully they are part of the renovations! Overall a good value all inclusive family hotel option in the hotel zone. Would recommend if all inclusive is your thing.

I have been staying here since yesterday by RCI. They said it was incredible! Lie. Very basic. On arrival it takes time to check in. Grumpy person attending. They did not have my room tidy. Air conditioning in the building damaged. The all inclusive with bad wine and only option. Simple and limited breakfast. Only 2 types of simple cheese without ham and little variety of everything. The only good restaurant in need of a reservation is that you can not always get the gym / gym you have to pay separately. Building under construction with noise in several parts. Elevator service to get in the fit or sparse. It was very expensive. Then it should be very good. RCI gets you in and the hotel simplifies everything. Let's see the other days.

One week there was not enough! The staff were truly amazing, keeping the day time entertaining with plenty of fun going right into the evening, thank you so much to Itzel, Gustavo and Benny for making our trip awesome! The bar is really well stocked, and all the staff, Edgar, Alberto, Jaime, Salvador, Angel and restaurant waiters Gabriel and Moses were ace — everyone couldn't be more helpful. It's right on the beach with beautiful sea and sunshine — you have it all there for you and plenty of excursions if you fancy from there. Jesús sorts out your after parties which you must do! Going all inclusive can be a risk if the food's not great, but every day there is a huge variety of lovely, fresh and inventive foods. 10 out of 10 all round — I would be back in a shot! Met some fabulous new friends there too, so unforgettable, I'll be back. Miss you already Park Royal Cancún, mi amor xxx.

All inclusive Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The best thing to do is ask for the restaurant hours so you don't miss a meal. The only bad thing is that when the room neighbor sneezes they want to say "health"… Other than that, the luxury raisins.

The buffet is very varied. But I would recommend that at breakfast time ordering a dinner reservation at the Italian restaurant, it has more elaborate dishes and the drinks are better but not the best.
The free bar is very short. It's not his forte.
The buffet is not 24/7 only leave you a couple of fountains and by the day there is an external bar that give pizzas, hamburhuesas, hot dogs, nachos and french fries.
You have advice for any type of excursion in an internal Localsito, a mini market and a mini sector for RSI partners.
They organize many activities for more boys and adults as well.
It has a pool with slides and fountains for the kids. And two more pieltas.
Direct exit to the sea.
Everything you ask will advise and help you. Very good attention.
You can order lunches to take you to the excursions by calling the front desk before 10 pm, and they prepare you for the other day.
They offer you a charter to take you and bring you from the shopping.

Poor customer service for members. I was looking for the manager, and he never was in his office, I can't talk to the supervisor for members etc. Horrible suite presidential. I don't recommend this hotel. The star is for the restaurant excellent food and very good service.

Kids pool is nice, but the hours are not very kid friendly. They advertise 3 restaurants, but only actually have 1 restaurant for people over 12.1 buffet with 3 meals a day and about 2 hrs closed between meals, and 1 snack bar open from noon to 6pm. The rooms are nice, and the people are very friendly. Has direct beach access with great sand. The hotels are currently under construction which makes getting around not very easy. But the shopping mall and aquarium is across the street which is a nice bonus.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful beaches. Games and distractions. Highly recommended.

If you have ROYAL HOLIDAY membership Read this Opinion the hotel is very simple, it does not live up to a resort; It only has an international restaurant and one of specialties, the food of the international barely passes, the drinks very diluted and insipid, the refreshments are hidden. The food in the specialty restaurant is fine dry. The jacuzzi we had in the presidential room never worked.
The only good thing about this hotel is its beach.
I didn't recommend it for the price/quality ratio.

Good hotel But the pool is very dirty.
Unfortunately not all guests have the education to take their children to the bathroom and let them urinate in the pool.

Got a good deal probably because of the construction. Main draw for use besides price was the kids section for our 4 and 6 year old. Staff super friendly and helpful. Only down side was the buffet and one restaurant which we couldn't go to with our kids which meant we had to eat at the buffet which got old. Wish they had a kids time at the restaurant to give adults a break on their own.

We love this place enough to keep coming back year after year. It is very clean. We have stayed in many resorts in cancun but this one has the best food buffet. It is right across the street from La Isla mall. They are under going some really renovations right now but they are respectful of start and stop times.

Very nice place to enjoy family trip. Various and delicious foods were so good to me and pool side drink was nice too. My kids like outdoor pool and wild animals (lizards…) walking around there. There is clean sand beach nearby the hotel.

The service was very good and the staff were very nice.

Although under construction, I still give it a five star due to the great customer service my wife and I received. From checking in and getting settled in to hanging out by the beach with drinks! The food was delicious and we loved that the meals were different every day. I stayed in other hotels and this one had the most options and best service. Great experience and price.

Small bathroom. No room refrigerator. No bedside electrical outlets. Noisy restaurant. Food was good though. Nice gym. Friendly service. Clean beach with beach showers.

Especially do not book in this hotel, we had book seen on the Sea in a suite. We are found on the back side of the street, the spa does not work. The hotel was in full renovation, the morning started with the works. The warden is a real incompetent. Question Buffet really very ordinary. In summary a real scam.

Day 1. The room was not ready before 3:00.00 pm Despite alert two weeks ago. They sent me a transfer to look for me but then they told me it was $8 per person. I was on the premises while waiting for the room but all the chairs were busy. I didn't see much service available. Day 2 Ask me and harass PQ I go to see a friend thinking that I'm going to buy somewhere else a holiday bonus, just as well and entertaining. The food ok but they are arranging the place and my room has a view. Almost horrible. What. Positive is that it is very well located the place and the meals and drinks excellent. The rest of the days that passed were varied… good. More or less. But if you get to have a problem they always give you the information in half and you feel that is your problem when it is not, only help you if you are going to upload your membership.

Beds are hard only complaint. Staff is wonderful. Great location, miles of beach to walk. Super pools, opportunity for shade, great drinks.

Under construction — expanding until Dec 2018, We still had a super time. (we were in building that was not being pounded on) Some walking diversions to beach and activities. Came for girls week, lots of tasty food, good drinks although I did not drink any fufu drinks. Serving staff could not be nicer and I felt like they had genuine smiles and were quite nice. Expansive beach and plenty of places to layout, hangout, and walk long stretches down the beach. Windy, big waves, strong undertow, gorgeous aqua marine water. Daily volleyball on beach. Nice sterling silver jewelry and on beach — plan on negotiating and you will be happy. Lots of Brazilians, Portuguese, some Americans, some Italians during time we were there. Worst part of my stay was the lack of professionalism from front desk-in terms of feeling like a guest — I am in the service industry myself and was disappointed with the message from one lady in particular — (quite rude) when checking in at member services (I am a NEW member with RCI) I added a friend to my 6 person room, prepared to pay the "day fee" quoted by Park Royal International and when we arrived they quoted a 50% MORE per day. They were kind enough to connect me on the phone with Mexico City — who accepted a credit card payment with the quoted price… I was assigned to a rep (who was nice and friendly) who wanted to upgrade my membership ASAP, but I had not even tried my NEW membership I bought last fall.

In remodeling. Dirty water comes out of the shower. No option to change rooms for the works. Very friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel, all inclusive services. Swimming Pool towels. Nice and big rooms. Very good cleanliness. Attentive staff. What I must point out of bad is that we were assigned room where the whole workshop was given as they were remodeling the hotel. There was constant noise every day and window splashed with dirt proper to the work. We asked for room change and we were moved… but the guests complained about the noises during the day.

Nice hotel. Only q When I went were doing works and bothered a little so much noise early. He has activities every day. Very attentive staff.

The staff was very courteous, friendly, and spoke great English. The food was good, the pool was clean, the staff cleaned our room every day, the life guard help save my wives life, I can say enough good things about this resort, we enjoyed our time and can't wait to come back.

It is my pleasure to say that the rooms and service at this hotel are top notch… Food is great and atmosphere is awesome. No nightly entertainment though which is sad.

Miscommunications about when check out time was supposed to be resulting in kicking us out of our room with no prior warning, 3 days before we were expecting to leave. The staff was not helpful in solving the problem after it had began and ended up costing us a couple hundred more dollars just to keep us in the hotel. Borderline extortion practices were at hand when asking us to leave the room threatening our belongings which had been left behind in the room. It's a shame because other than that the hotel is so-so but in a great location and has great activities on the beach and pool side as well as having an overall positive staff working at the bars and restaurants. Clarity is key when working with this management as they will try to extort you out of money in order to 'upgrade' you and may result in you getting removed from your room, much like we were.

This hotel is so-so. The location of the resort is probably it's greatest asset. It's right across the street from a shopping area & has prime beach real estate. The food is mediocre but has a lot of variety considering it has just one main restaurant. The liquor was sub-par & they completely lacked quality vodka. I also suspect the Captain spiced rum was replaced with liquor of lower quality. The beds are horrible & hard but the room was spacious & had a very nice bathroom & shower. The cleaning of the room was odd because they'd make sure the small details were taken care of but would neglect the big things like replacing the dirty towels they'd removed. The activities were great & they often gained a lot of participants for fun pool games & mini contests. The staff in the restaurants & pool areas are wonderful but the front desk & concierge attendants are lazy & can't be bothered to help you with even the simplest task. Need to confirm a reservation at the Italian restaurant? Good luck! I would only reccomend a stay at this hotel if you get an excellent deal & want to be walking distance from shopping. I would not choose to stay at this resort again.

Excellency attention from all the hotel staff, very polite and helpful. The food pretty good and the drinks spectacular, the rooms very comfortable and spacious (ambassador), the beach spotless and beautiful! With activities like volleyball and football. Very nice and comfortable hotel totally satisfied.

Overall great place for a family, kids pool is awesome, views are amazing and food was excellent. BEST THING its right next to the LA ISLA SHOPPING MALL great place to go shop and walk.

Their public pool has a in-pool bar where you can order beverages from soft drinks to alcohol. Its very clean and they have many activities throughout the week like Beach Volleyball, pool Volleyball, pool parties, Karaoke nights, and more. They're food is average and bartenders are very friendly. Staff members are VERY lively and seem like they enjoy doing activities with you.

This is the place you go when you either have ten kids or you're 90. Inexpensive, hard beds, bland food, no drink service away from the bar and group activities like stretching in the pool for old people. Still great for a beach vacation. People are nice and the drinks aren't bad. The A/C works. The view, if you get one is nice.

Always a great place to come. All-inclusive with plenty of variety at the buffet and the bar. Also since January it offers a new kids zone 3-13 with water slides and kids service from 9-6pm. Also feature an special adult zone (no kids allowed with a bar, pool and sea view) and a family pool zone with and in-pool bar, snack bar pools and kids pool. It also has an old Mayan temple and a special dinner restaurant from older than 12 were you have to dress formal. Excellent service from employees.

Hola! I highly recommend The Park Royal Cancun. I had a fabulous time. The hotel was top rate, food was delicious, very clean and great entertainment team. The guys from the entertainment team were so warm and hard working. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and always cheerful and up beat encouraging a great atmosphere around the place. Special thanks to Benji from the entertainment team, such a warm, sincere guy. He arranged for our party to be taken care off when we went out and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We had an amazing time thanks to him. We danced all night and had tequila Mexican style ;) it was fun! Loved every moment. We made some great memories and will be back again. My family and I came here on June 8th, and we will leave on the 16th. We were so excited to go to cancun but as soon as we got to the hotel our whole day was ruined because of the FRONT desk staff. They were extremely rude and nobody even greeted us as we walked in. The older lady with the long hair at the front kept saying "one minute" and was ignoring us, and the guy next to her gave us the wrong room number THREE times. He kept wanting to see our passport and was saying they were out of rooms, but we booked 6 MONTHS ahead of the trip. The service at the front desk is simply horrible and this makes customers never want to come back we weren't the only ones I don't understand how they still work there and why they aren't fired yet with how they treat their customers. But the beach and restaurant are amazing. The view to the beach is great and the buffet staff and restaurant know how to handle everything. Overall Cancun is beautiful but if you want to have a good time and be treated like a PERSON as soon as you check in please book another hotel.

Service and rooms were very nice. This location provides a close beach, but be warned most of the time it is too windy too swim. The food was great when the stuck to their roots, other nights were "oriental night" and just seemed like microwaved food.

I promised my 3 daughters a trip somewhere warm and tropical 12 years ago. We picked Park Royal Resort. For the price we paid, we were greeted nice, food was good, room were nice (beds were a little hard) pools were pretty, OCEAN AMAZING. Will rebook thur Expedia again. Thank you Park Royal for our Stay.

So the taxi accidentally dropped us off at the wrong hotel. We had reservations at the GRAND Park Royal which is further up and a way nicer looking and better staffed hotel. Unfortunately we came here, their cheaper side. The receptionist was extremely rude. He asked for our "printed" confirmation number. I told him I didn't have a printed version just the email confirmation (cmn this isnt the 90s). He said he couldn't do anything without the printed confirmation. I was on my honeymoon so I decided to just work with him. I asked if I could use the computer in lobby and I would print it out. He replied "no that's only for guests", lol this guy was a joke. So finally he said " let me see what I could do". He looked up my reservation by my last name (I don't know why he didn't just do that in the first place). Then he informed us we were in the wrong hotel. So glad we didn't stay there. If you decide you want to save a couple of dollars then come here. If you want to have a great time go to the Grand Park Royal. Tip: if you decide to stay here bring your printed confirmation number.

The hotel is well located and has everything you need to be comfortable … the rooms and the lighting inside left to be desired.

Everything looks neat and clean. Rooms are presented well enough. Some details but not big ones. The welcome staff kind of rough but is comprehensible. The food is great so far. Amenities are good enough. In average I will rate in 4 stars.

Unaccomodating to change rooms. We booked ocean side and two rooms together. Wouldn't help us get what we booked. Pictures very deceiving on web. Pool clothes soo early. No night swim. Charge for gym and local calls. Too basic for the price. No service for food and drinks on the beach side. Food basic.

What impressed me the most was the impeccable service. The hotel is really nice, clean and comfortable. I recommend it!

Best hotel in the hotel zone of Cancun. The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. I will definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends and family.
