We just got home from a 5 night stay here. We absolutely lived our stay and can't wait to come back. The staff was amazing and friendly. The pool was fantastic, the room was perfect, and the beach was a dream.

If you are planning to visit this hotel soon be aware that there is construction nextdoor and the noise is nauseating 8-5 Monday-Friday. If you can rebook I strongly suggest you do.

Very beautiful and comfortable. However, showers are alright and I wish there was air conditioning throughout the whole room, kitchen, and living area. Also, the pool is not by the ocean which is odd because it was included in a video I saw on youtube. Other than that the hotel is very nice with friendly staff which is always a plus.

We had two tremendous weeks at Casablanca. Beautiful grounds; pretty well maintained. Sensational location, on a great patch of beach, about five minute walk to town. Very nice and accommodating staff. Some of parts of the facility are a bit worn out, but not really problem. Construction in the next property over was a real drag, hearing an impact hammer, steel saw, and jackhammer going at it all day got really old, but nothing that Casablanca can do about that. Overall, we had a wonderful couple weeks in Sayulita and at Casablanca.

My husband and I reserved the hotel (minus the front house) for a long weekend in April for our wedding. Overall, most people had a good experience and enjoyed the pool and being close to the beach. There were 2 major issues with our weekend reservation: 1. My husband and I stayed at the hotel a night before guests started to arrive and we were robbed. In the middle of the night, someone came into our bedroom (which was definitely locked) and took my purse, a very expensive camera and few small electronic items. I actually woke up as the person was leaving our room and my husband jumped up when I woke him and we ran outside and looked around the front desk area and tried to alert the night guard — — we did not see anyone around. The good news was they found my purse on the grounds and the only thing missing was cash. The hotel responded appropriately and made a police report, but my issue is the lack of security in this room. The handle was wobbly and the type of lock can be opened with a credit card — as we were shown later the next day. This is shocking to me that they didn't have a way to lock the door from the inside, but the hotel did add a lock at my request. With close access to the beach, on the sleepy part of town, just be extra careful especially if you're on a ground floor room and don't count on night security to be around to help out. 2. The hotel painted one of the rooms the day before a guest was going to arrive and shut all the windows.

The decor of this place is like a dream. The service is very attentive. They replaced our coffee carafe and TV (! ) after we complained about it.

What a great place to stay! I will recommend to my friends and family. I loved our room on the 3rd floor and what a great view of the ocean. The only thing I wish you had more of was the lawn chairs for the beach. Or even just have some small folding beach chairs you can sit in. Something you can just check out for the day. They were always taken by the time we got up. But that was only a minor thing. The front staff ladies were so nice and helpful! Thanks again for making my trip enjoyable.

We recently returned from a wonderful week at Casablanca Sayulita hotel! There were 21 of us in all, so we rented the main house, along with 4 hotel rooms. This was our first visit to Sayulita and we all had a great time. Main house was right on the beach with private pool which was enjoyed by us day and night! Our kids got to participate in releasing turtles next door, which they are still talking about. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance and hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. When we return to Sayulita, Casablanca will be our first choice!

Overall nice place. Some problems. Three rooms in our group, in the main house and in other units found cockroaches in their luggage when they went to pack to come home. The "other bedroom with the Plalpa roof in the Main House" is unusable in the summer. It is too hot and there are also no screens on the sliding glass doors, so there is nothing to keep the bugs out. Nice place and location, it just nededs some work and AC in the "other room".

Our family went to Sayulita for a family reunion. There were 22 of us. We rented the main house and several rooms in the hotel. My nuclear family of 4, ended up getting the room in the main house with the thatched roof (Pallapas). Because of the heat and humidity, that room was not acceptable for overnight stay. We had to leave the windows (which are actually sliding doors) open due to the overwhelming heat. There were no screens on the door and with young children, it was rather scary thought they would fall. Plus, in the evening, we were inundated with bugs. My daughter received many bites. Our son slept with us on the king bed under the bug screen. But that too was very uncomfortable (because of heat and screen kept getting blown off and opening). We eventually got a room with air conditioning once it opened up, 2 nights later. After we moved rooms, the whole experience improved. I do not recommend using the Pallapas during the summer months, or seal up the ceiling so that room can get air conditioning. Other than the room issue, the main house was perfect for our reunion. We were all able to get together at the pool, enjoy meals together, and just overall enjoy each other in relative privacy.

We really enjoyed Casablanca. It was close enough to walk into town, but just far enough to be a quiet escape from the bustling & noisy nightlife. The room, pool, and grounds were all clean and well cared for. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Good location, however, maintenance severely lacking. Dated and neglected. Very old fridge — seal broken badly so Ice box very frozen over, and because door doesn't shut properly, ice melting all over. Faucet in bathroom running, doesn't shut off, and entire faucet set old and loose in counter — could easily come out. Chipped dishes, no tea towels for drying. No bath towels, were only given pool towels. Dirty curtains not wide enough to cover windows, and too long — dragging on floor — filthy. As this was a ground floor unit with no doors and windows, and guests walking past all the time, clean curtains that fit are important. Seat cushions in living area filthy. All pillows old, smelled bad, and foam breaking down into lumps. Stains on sheets. Four hangers and no dressers for a two bedroom suite. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

For me one of the best hotels in Sayulita. The rooms are very spacious and nice with that touch and Mexican style. It has a pool with good temperature. The hotel is walking to the beach and a few minutes walk from the center which is fine if you don't want to be among the hustle and bustle of all the bars. The only hard thing is to talk on the phone although my reservation was made through its website and I had no problem. Widely recommended.

My wife and I loved our time at Casablanca The staff was wonderful and the rooms are perfect, super clean and decorated very nice with all that you need for your stay at Sayulita. I highly recommend this place. A great and romantic, quiet and privet place. Feb. 5th 2018

We enjoyed staying at the Casablanca. The property is beautiful and it’s location on the beach is perfect. It’s an easy walk to anything you need in town. A few suggestions for newbies: 1. Stop at the big grocery store on your way to Sayulita. You will need shampoo, conditioner, soap, kitchen supplies like zipper storage, paper towels, pepper, sugar, bottled water and any other staples you want. There are only mini markets in Sayulita. 2. You can get beach towels, ice and filtered water at the front desk. There is also filtered water in the pool area cabana. 3. If you don’t speak fluent Spanish, be sure you look up the right way to ask for things such as extra pillows or a clean washcloth. They don’t speak much English and have trouble understanding what you mean or how to answer you. 4. Don’t be offended if the staff isn’t as openly friendly as some places. They are nice people just not outgoing. 5. Keep your valuables in the safe. Overall, the property feels safe but it is open on the beach side. The bedrooms are supposed to be able to be locked but in reality the door doesn’t always shut well and the maid might leave the patio doors open or unlocked. The ground floor suites don’t have much privacy as the curtains don’t even cover the whole windows so get dressed before you walk in front of the window. 5. Take plenty of pesos. A lot of businesses there don’t take cards. 6. Relax and enjoy! It’s a wonderful place! You can’t beat the price!

Rude bad people dirty service.

We loved the unique balconies and suite layout. Swimming pool was clean and charming design. Gardens are lush and lovely. Location is a few blocks walk north of town which gave us a quiet stay away from the busy center of town. A few items lessened what could be a perfect place: 1. Type of soap/cleaner being used by housekeeping had horrible odor. We appealed to stop using for our suite and they complied but we smelled this everywhere on the premises. 2. Luggage handling. Some suites are 2nd and third floor winding stair. There didn't appear any system to assist with luggage so only those able to haul own luggage up winding stairs should take higher floor suites. 3. Although it was wonderful to have no bugs on the balcony and poolside, they were spraying each morning all of the gardens and one day the smell was strong around pool all day long. 4. At check in we were asked by desk lady to give a 1000 peso deposit. Fortunately I asked for a receipt. On day of checkout, the manager was working because desk lady was unable to work. Ourselves and one other guest both trying to checkout had been charged 1000 pesos but manager claimed this was not standard and would only give us back 500 peso unless we could prove. Fortunately after a lengthy search I found my receipt. Manager then stated he wasn't sure if he had enough cash to give me the 1000. A maintenance guy was nearby and helped him search a cabinet until they found enough cash to reimburse us.

You can have it all staying at Casablanca! Management is excellent to coordinate with and the onsite caretakers are all extremely accommodating and helpful. The hotel is located just outside Sayulita downtown which is ever growing in popularity. You walk out on a very short path past the hotel's beachfront house, onto the beach and have much less people there than near downtown as well. We love it there! And we love that it's been our secret for years, but we know we should share :) The rooms are so cute and adorned in authentic Mexican themes and decor. Your bedroom and bath have AC, but the kitchenette/couch area doesn't, though it has screened doors. There are balconies off both the bedroom and the kitchenette. The pool is beautiful, clean, and a good size. Though we're in the ocean most of the time. This hotel is not luxury or modern even… it's comfortable and clean and with style. You have everything you need to be comfortable. There is no restaurant on-site or breakfast included, but the price is so right for what you get and food is easily accessibly by a short walk to the North Beach restaurants on your side of the bridge, or a bit longer to the downtown area across the bridge. We walk everywhere when there, but golf carts are easy to rent just down the road too. We love Casablanca and plan to go back again soon. Thank you all! xoxo.

Had a quick stay in Sayulita and had the pleasure of spending a night at Casablanca. The location is perfect on the beach. The staff if very friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a nice place to stay short term or long term. Price is very fair! I will definitely stay there again.

Sayulita is a magical town to visit and Casablanca made our stay that much more special. Casablanca is located north of the city less than a one mile walk through the town or with your toes in the sand on the beach. Our room was 50 steps to the beach, comfortable, clean, safe and overall perfect. Each morning the staff sets up beach chairs and umbrellas which are for hotel guests only and the beach is safe for swimming. The room gave you an indoor/outdoor experience. Walking into the open air living space and then the air conditioned large king size bedroom. We also had friends with three other rooms and each had it's own welcoming feel. I highly recommend Casablanca for families, couples, and friends getting together for a celebration. If you are looking for a hotel located on the beach, right outside of town which provides you with comfort and convenience than this is the right hotel for you.

Don't really know what to tell you, it's a great place if you want to be on the ocean in a quiet place with a really nice pool. Will absolutely go again.

Beautiful rooms with double balcony, pool and next to the beach in a quiet area away from the center. Does not have a restaurant but there is ice available 24 hrs.

This is great place for families or couples, not for a singular traveler, it is clean, it has it owns beach, it doesn't have any restaurant near by but it has it own kitchen with everything, rooms are cozy and with AC.

I love this hotel, super comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casablanca! The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The facilities are beautiful and clean. The location is perfect; far enough from the downtown to be quiet, close enough to walk for restaurants and shopping. We will certainly be back and will recommend the Casablanca to friends and relatives.

CasaBlanca was great in every aspect. You have your own private beach while only being a 10 minute walk from the heart of downtown Sayulita. The staff was extremely responsive and helpful. I can't recommend this place enough!
