This hotel offers a cozy stay because it has like 30 rooms. Each one is different and the interior design is superb. The pool is a plus and you have have breakfast by it, it also offers a cool hipster reading room and bikes. The location ia splendid, located two blocks away from Reforma, 15 mins away from downtown and close to malls, great restaurants and nightlife.

Beautiful contemporary design. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms are small but very smart. Unfortunately the noise level in the rooms makes this a good one night stop and go destination… not a weekend sleep and relax hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE! CROOKS! They kept charging me a room hold fee for 152 dollars. I tried calling to get this charge removed, they said it would not actually go through. Upon return to the U. S. The charge went through to my bank. The response from the hotel was for me to get the charge removed via my bank. My bank went through the normal process of getting a charge disputed to which the hotel made some bogus reason to keep the 152 dollars. I have just tried to recontact the hotel and they hung up on me 6 times and are being super difficult since they do not want to speak to someone who does not speak impeccable spanish. Listen, if you are willing to deal with this hassle and lackadaisical credit card charging then stay here! If you need any type of english language then stay somewhere else. Also the pool is a fish tank so who cares about that. I think overpriced overall anyways.

I could not have been any more pleased with my stay at Hotel Carlota, it was the perfect choice to stay on a recent trip to Mexico City. The hotel itself doesn't look like much from the street, but once you walk in you see that is a beautiful oasis right in urban CDMX. The room was a good size, comfortable bedding, and the bathroom was stocked with high end toiletries. There were times I called the front desk for things (extra towels, extra water, etc) and the staff was quick to bring them up. The hotel restaurant is absolutely amazing, food is plated beautifully and everything we had was delicious. Restaurant service is also top notch, Tony and Hugo especially went above and beyond for us on multiple occasions. The pool area is small but was never overly crowded. There is also some beautifully furnished sitting rooms off the pool area perfect for working on your laptop or reading a book. I have to disagree about the noise issues that other guests have expressed, I distinctly remember getting back to the hotel while there was music playing and a party going on at the bar and worrying about the noise, however once in the room I couldn't hear anything and slept very peacefully. To sum it up everything about this hotel was a delight and I plan on staying here again next time I'm in the area.

Of the best hotels I've visited. All of Mexican design and allow pets. Delicious food ask for red Chilaquiles with organic Turkey.

The staff was really friendly and accommodating. They also offer bilingual assistance if you need it. They even upgraded our basic room to a suite with a rooftop terrace when we arrived. We came during the winter so the hotel wasn’t as busy which was nice because we avoided the noise issues every mentioned. It was also centrally located, so if you like to walk you can get to almost all the touristy areas. Drinks were a little weak but the staff had good service and they tasted good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I opened my room door and immediately thought wow what a lovely space. But… I couldn't find any hooks anywhere for hanging coats or bathrobes etc. And the strange sink arrangement outside the bathroom proved to be rather inconvenient. The stairs to the terrace are steep with odd steps which can catch you out. I found the staff very friendly and the food excellent but this is efinitely not the place for a quiet stay. Noise seems to be amplified from the interior patio / pool area / restaurant resonating even general talking and laughing. They have earplugs in the room which I found ineffective against the extremely loud music playing into the early hours on a daily basis. To be honest this ruined for me what could have been generally a lovely place, making it simply very expensive!

The staff is friendly and the architecture is novel. I would recommend to stay only once but not if you really need to rest. The walls are thin and you hear the noise from the restaurant. The floor, the ceiling and the furniture are cement so the room feels cold. There was no desk or closet in the room. The stairs to go up to the terrace of the room are very unstable and it is impossible to close the curtains without risk to fall off the stairs.

Read the reviews and you'll be concerned about the noise. We were in bed between 11-12pm each night and up and out by 10am. Some noise traveled between rooms and within the hotel. There wasn't much noise off the street where our room windows faced the front of the hotel. If you had a noisy neighbor or party people next to you it would be a problem. Given we didn't encounter any of this we had a really great time, enjoyed the design of the place, the staff, and the restaurant.

The bar music that constantly plays is EXTREMELY annoying. Totally random and volume shifting all the time it totally destroys what could be an enjoyable hotel experience. Earplugs in rooms is a joke; just turn off the music.

What a wonderful find! This boutique hotel is in Mexico City's "pink zone" (friendly to LGBTQ), and is an oasis of peace and tranquility. It is tastefully decorated, has amenities by L'Occitane, comfortable beds and pillows, and an absolutely amazing restaurant & bar serving locally sourced organic foods and drinks. The staff was helpful and charming, and overall I had a wonderful stay. I will stay here again for sure, next time I'm in Mexico City.

On the face of it this hotel is extremely appealing. The lobby and pool area are very impressive. The rooms are comfortable enough with all necessary amenities and the staff are very friendly. However… don't expect a relaxing stay. The hotel bar, which all rooms centre around, pumps out music continuously day and night, whether there is anyone at the bar or not! The hotel provides earplugs in the room however a quiet nights sleep is the least I expect from a hotel.

Really fantastic art hotel with modern design in a central location. The rooms are comfortable and service was great. I would certainly stay here again. I really enjoyed the pool in the central courtyard. Attracts a young and trendy crowd and is pretty social.

Beautiful, well thought out design hotel. Centrally located, with easy access to public transport. Staff was friendly and helpful, the only thing we were not happy about was that we had to wait 2 hours before getting our room. The restaurant of the hotel was great, though the service could have been better. Internet connection in the rooms at the back wasn't great, but it worked ok most of the time.

Very stylish little hotel on a quiet street off of Reforma. Standard rooms are small and not well finished, with ugly, badly-made concrete ceilings and bare white walls. The amenities are quite nice though, and the common areas of the hotel are great — poolside is a beautiful place to chill out with a well-made drink. Super helpful staff.

I have mixed feelings about this place, my payment didn't go through so my mother provided her cc details. When I arrived the young girl asked that I pay anyway, then took my card "just for security" then tried to charge it for one night without my consent. It was only when I got grumpy as I had already provided a credit card, did she back off. Even after my mother paid in full they made us pay as we went for food which was slightly inconvenient. The food was yummy but overpriced. The beds were very comfy and a good selection of stuff to watch in Spanish and English. The pool was a lap pool and two of the days we were there they had events in the common area. The first was a pool party, basically a daytime rave that went from 1pm till 8pm. I am a pregnant lady and my mum is 75 so we like our daytime naps, but the earplugs didn't really cut it. We were invited to the party and given 3 free drinks each which we didn't participate in. Maybe have different options of compensation. Or at least let guests know it's going to be noisy in advance. The hilight was Armando, the whole of staff should learn customer service from him. The location of this place is excellent, the decor a bit industrial for my liking. I'd put some art on the concrete walls in the rooms. L'occatane toiletries a plus.

The room, the amenities, the cleanliness in general and the restaurant food is excellent. We had a party the day we arrived and there was no way to rest in the afternoon, the noise is unbearable, after the party the pool was super dirty and we could never use it (the pool was one of the reasons we booked here). I think that for the price should be much more careful with the theme of the holidays, most people are looking for hotels to rest. Everything else very well.

We went to the hotel Carlota for a pool party, and even with the tickets already bought, we were not allowed access, for not being foreigners, the hotel manager directly discriminated us by Mexicans, not being blond, tall and light-eyed … we are handling the complaint in the conapred. Hopefully we can take a step in eradicating discrimination among our own people …

Great hotel, the rooms with a new concept, very nice, the attention is good, the pool despite the narrow is to have a good time and the best is that it is heated.

The hotel Carlota has a particular style called "boutique".
Each room is designed and customized by a different designer and rustic unfinished as a general line.
Night Center located in a very good neighborhood, sure, they say, where sometimes celebrities are presented with soap operas, MTV, shows of Saba …
What I liked the most was their gourmet cuisine "organic" whose service can be somewhat slow because everything is prepared at the moment: if you take your time to take you to the table the dishes. If you're a design lover, this is the place for you, if you're a lover of silence, or privacy, or you're always in a hurry, because it's not.

It's my favorite place in the CDMX whenever I visit it. All the staff are very friendly, the facilities are amazing and the atmosphere very casual. My only recommendation would be to take care of the cleanliness of the rooms, as once the shower key broke down and there was no hot water and in the last one the bed had hairs (enough) under the sheets. We had to ask to be moved from room already late.

Awesome stay at hotel Carlota! Staff was great room was cool location was ideal could walk to lots of restaurants. Will definitely stay in this hotel on my next trip to Mexico City!

Excellent decoration and ambience with Mexican cuisine of excellent quality and presentation. Unfortunately in my room 306 the internet did not arrive, however if it worked in all public areas of the hotel.

I appreciated design and style of the hotel, and friendly service. However, the rooms are tiny and without a real window, always dark, and with little privacy. The photos show it as a much fancier and larger place.

The food is impecable executed and so good. But all the "ooohhhhs" were on the desserts. There's no explanation on this, you just have to try them.

Hotel junk is always full of drunks who do not let sleep. The mats are all Tierrosos, the soffits are broken, the rooms ' phones are not working, covered strains. The internet does not work, it does not reach the rooms. Besides Caro does not have own parking! I rent a piece on another property and it's a nuisance. The sheets are very small for the beds … The lemonades should be called frosted, you take out the ice and half a glass. The restaurant is expensive for the food that serves the service of the waiters it's very bad you have to yell for them to attend to.

Very clean, comfortable, modern, central. Every father. They only have a great area of opportunity in their billing service.

Excellent! I had a great time in this hotel. It looks exactly as the pictures, the food and the bar are great. They are very friendly with dogs, also they have the service to take your dog for a walk when you're not at the hotel. Definitely, I would stay again.

Hotel Carlota is very beautiful and has amazing architecture. The rooms are spacious and decorated very nicely. The swimming pool and verandah are stylish and inviting for a drink or coffee. The restaurant is one of my favorites in Mexico City and all the staff are super helpful and friendly.

The new hot spot of the city! The atmosphere is very nice and the place envelops you from the time you arrive. Excellent service.

Urban modern boutique hotel with a very original theme. The restaurant boasts unique creations inspired in authentic Mexican cuisine. The outdoor bar provides a great atmosphere and an ample drink selection. The rooms are simple, modern and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Service is excellent at an affordable price. All in all, this hotel is the perfect definition of City Chic.

It was about time that this neighborhood Got A very upscale hip option for food and drinks. This place is as hipster and modern as it gets with concrete and light wood and fun angles and interesting food. Highly recommend as the meal itself is worth it but it's also an awesome place to be hang with friends and have a little Enclave of cool in Mexico City.

Just attended an event, but I liked much the attention and the sytilo of the spaces of the hotel.

It is a good place to go and have a drink in the afternoon. The terrace is nice and might have more options rich for botanear.

Fantastic boutique hotel, very modern and decorated with taste. Staff very attentive, and willing to help. The restaurant is great, a lot of personnel and well cared for; the food a delight!

Very poor service. Generally speaking the hotel aims to cater a design oriented traveler but they miss to provide the most basic services expected in a boutique hotel. Even in a Sunday night I could hear the voices of staff in my room. Room service was very disappointing. A week after my check out they haven't sent the final receipt despite the fact that I've called them 3 times already. Definitely not coming back.
