Casa Punta Coco & Beach Club

Stayed here last week with my pregnant daughter. Beautiful and well kept. Very clean. The pool area is amazing. This is one of the closest things to paradise. Great amneties in the room. Face masks, lip balm, for a perfect girls night in. We booked in the main building with both sea and pool view, and the views did not disappoint. Our room opened right onto the pool.
Hotel feels like home as it’s small and intimate and all the guests seem to understand that. No fighting for sunbeds. There’s room for all.
They could do with a bit more staff though especially in the kitchen. Food takes long to be prepared I waited over 30 mins for a fried egg and there were only 2 tables having breakfast at the time. The 2 chefs are very slow and also always seem grumpy. It’s a bit more expensive than others on the island but well worth it if you want a peaceful stay. The beach is lovely with 6 regular guests on the rocks. An iguana and 5 lizards, I would have coffee with them every morning.
I regret leaving to go and try out other hotels of similar price and calibre on the island. That’s a story for another day…

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and very private. Because there are only a few rooms, it feels especially warm and family-like. The staff is exceptionally friendly – we truly had the best experience ever. The food was amazing and clearly prepared with a lot of love and care. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime!

We were able to lounge at the beach for a day while on Isla Holbox. It was upscale and in a very nice part of the island. I would recommend staying here if we were to come back.

I stayed at Casa Punta Coco for three nights. The reservation included a sea view suite and free breakfast. The room did not have an en-suite bathroom: to access it, you had to cross an area open to other hotel guests, which was not specified in the room description.
The free breakfast only included coffee, a plate of fruit, and two mini pastries. Everything else had to be paid for as an extra.
The hotel is beautiful overall and has a good location on the beach away from the center, but I found the staff's behavior to be inappropriate.
I recommend choosing other accommodations in Holbox.

My husband and I spent 5 nights here at the start of our Honeymoon, we wish we stayed longer!
It was perfect, the room was truly the most beautiful room we’ve ever stayed in. It felt like paradise!
All staff were amazing and in particular, Aurora was so attentive, friendly and nothing was too much for her. She made us feel like we were the only guests there and made our time so special.
We arrived via the private boat transfer arranged by the hotel and I’d highly recommend doing this, it was a fantastic arrival.
We had dinner 2 nights here and the food was spectacular, we had plenty of drinks and the cocktails were all delicious.
There’s nothing to fault, we hope to return for our anniversary!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel — a truly chill and relaxing place. The beach is exceptionally well maintained and very clean.
We had an excellent room with a private area, private sunbeds by the pool, and a beautiful view, which made the stay feel very exclusive and peaceful. Getting to the city center was easy by bicycle, about 10–15 minutes, which we really enjoyed.
The breakfast included in the stay was a bit limited, so we had to pay extra, but this was the only small downside. The outstanding staff more than made up for it. Aurora and Daniel were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Upon arrival, Daniel welcomed us, showed us around the hotel and the grounds, and treated us to cocktails and snacks — a very warm and thoughtful welcome.
The hotel is extremely clean, calm, and beautifully maintained. A perfect boutique hotel for those looking for comfort, privacy, and a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.

It’s not my first time staying here, but as always, I spent a few wonderful days in this beautiful seaside house. The place is simply perfect — it has a spectacular view of the beach and a gorgeous pool where you can relax while listening to the sound of the waves. With only a few rooms available, the atmosphere is peaceful and intimate, ideal for resting and unwinding.
The hosts are charming and incredibly attentive. There’s also Danny, who is just as delightful and makes amazing cocktails, adding a special touch to the afternoons by the pool. The Mexican fusion cuisine from Chef Ricardo is absolutely delicious. Everything was spotless, well maintained, and beautifully decorated to match the coastal vibe.
Without a doubt, a little paradise by the sea. I’d come back again and again. 🌴🍹🌊

Disappointing Stay – Bed Bugs and Unfulfilled Refund.
Booked 4 nights at Casa Punta Coco. On arrival, we were told the pool (a key reason for booking) was unavailable for three days. After accepting a room upgrade, we discovered bed bugs that night and had to move back to our original room.
We cut our stay short, requested a refund for the last two nights, and were assured it would be processed, happily settling our food & drinks bill on check out. Over a month later, no refund has been issued despite repeated follow-ups, with us now being ignored. Poor communication, cleanliness issues, and unfulfilled promises—would not recommend.

Do Not Stay Here – Deceptive and Unprofessional.
Our experience was terrible—scammed, mistreated, and ignored by management.
The hotel sold us a fraudulent whale shark tour for 2, 000 pesos more than competitors. It didn’t match the itinerary, lacked bilingual guides, and passed through unsafe waters that no other boat tour went where we got seasick and nearly tipped over. Staff later lied, claiming we asked to skip parts. They admitted fault but refused a refund, only offering a short 3 minute taxi ride after making us wait two hours.
They did offer a bioluminescence tour as compensation but ghosted us after we asked for details. We later found out they were charging 1, 200 pesos per person for that tour—500 more than the far better one we found ourselves for 700 pesos. It’s been 2 days and we still have not heard back from them. Our guide of 11 years on Holbox said the hotel’s version is a known scam and a reason tourists stop returning to Holbox.
We never received a legal receipt—just a photo of incomplete terms—and construction literally a foot from our room and around the pool made relaxing impossible.
Even basic amenities were a mess. One staff member said we could use the fridge, another yelled at my wife for doing so.
The staff was rude, the owner unavailable, and they abandoned any attempt to fix their mistakes.
This experience ruined two days of our trip. Avoid this place.

This place was a nightmare, the complete opposite of relaxation.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was unacceptable. The staff was rude, disorganized, and made us feel like we didn’t matter.
We were denied basic amenities. One staff member told us we could use the fridge, but later another came and yelled at us for doing exactly that, claiming it had to be kept clean for a group arriving the next day. Apparently, we were no longer a priority.
On our second day, there was nonstop construction noise. Staff were loudly repairing the air conditioning and doing remodeling work just steps from our room and the pool all day. It completely ruined any chance of relaxation.
But the worst part? The hotel scammed us with an extremely unsafe whale shark tour. We paid 7, 000 MXN for what was supposed to be a guided tour with snorkeling, a full itinerary, and return transportation. We got none of that.
• The guide didn’t speak English (despite being promised).
• There was no snorkeling AT ALL.
• We were taken far out into rough ocean waters for over 7 hours during high winds, the boat nearly capsized, and the entire crew and passengers were nauseous, disoriented, and visibly unwell.
• They didn’t even bring us back to the hotel.
Upon raising the issue at the hotel, they completely refused to take responsibility. I waited over two hours at the front desk while the staff ignored me entirely. The owner never showed up. And after just a few messages, they stopped responding altogether.

An absolutely terrible experience.
We were left completely on our own during a storm, with no food, no drinking water, and no safety measures in place. The staff left at 7 PM instead of 10 PM as expected, and there was no one at the hotel to welcome or assist us when we arrived.
The first room we were given had a disgusting smell of feces — it was unbearable, and I nearly vomited. Thankfully, we were moved to another room, but this is completely unacceptable for this hotel.
To make things worse, we were woken up at 7 AM by sunlight because the curtains don’t close properly.
Most shocking of all: there is no staff on site at night. In case of emergency, there is absolutely no one to help — we felt completely abandoned.
I would not recommend this place to anyone, either for safety or service.

This may be one of our favorite restaurants on the island. We had a beautiful sunset view, the food was very good, and the piña colada was 👌👌👌. It is definitely a hidden gem in a more secluded part of the islands I got the octopus on the rocks and my partner had the coconut shrimp.

From the moment you arrive until you leave, they pay attention to every detail. Don't forget to have a margarita during the day, dinner or lunch in the chef's kitchen.

This place is an absolute gem of a find. It is quiet and paradisiacal. Also the vista is one of the most beautiful on the island of Holbox. We were able to choose where to sit and relax — choosing the hammocks to start and then the day bed. We were served mango smoothies and then indulged in two starter plates of food. The food was exceptional! Beautifully presented and tasted so so good! All in all a fantastic place to spend an afternoon relaxing, reading, swimming and enjoying the quiet side of Holbox.

Excellent service by Adrian and food from the chef in the Beach Club. The view and the peace were perfect.

We stayed at a different hotel but came here every day to enjoy the beach, days beds, and fantastic Tacos! The Tacos Arrachera were some of the best I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend.
