Pros: best possible location, all the good restaurants are 30secs to 6 mins walk, the beach is 5 mins away, there’s a fruit shop right outside. The space is beautiful, you can tell a lot of heart went into the decor. Room itself was spacious, and very bright (which was important to me). My room got cleaned every single day and the cleaning lady always did it as soon as I’d leave so I was never left waiting when I came back, I appreciated that. There’s a fan and AC in the room. The host is nice. There’s a beautiful cat if you’re an animal lover like me.
Cons: you can hear everything right outside your door so if you’re a light sleeper this can be tricky. The hot water in the shower lasts 1-2 mins then it’s just warm. The AC turns off by itself at night (I asked for help around this and nothing happened).
Overall pretty happy and I’ll be back!
This was our second time staying at Hotel Aurora and we would happily stay there again! The rooms are huge, comfortable, clean, and we had everything we needed to cook / dine in the room if we wanted to, as there was a fridge, a stove top, loads of cooking utensils and cookware, and a little dining table with 4 chairs. The towels were changed daily when the rooms were cleaned, and we had washing done for $250pesos for 1 bag (returned within a few hours). We had an issue with our air conditioner originally, but the team looked into it straight away and had it fixed ASAP.
It was perfect for a 6 night stay. Its a few minutes from the beach, the main square, close to the port, and also very quiet given how centrally it's located. Also the new supermarket is just around the corner which was very useful!
The cat is very cute and friendly too ☺️

We absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms were super clean and the shower was incredible. The rooms were cleaned every day and there was always fresh towels left every day. What I really loved was that they give you towels to use at the beach, and a little beach bag which you can use too, super handy! The hotel is quiet, but only a few mins walk to the beach and to lots of amazing cafes and restaurants, we really loved the location. The staff at the hotel were so friendly, and really helpful, they even helped arrange a taxi for us on our final day to the ferry port. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will definitely be back here when we visit Holbox again!
