Review of Park Royal Beach Ixtapa 3*

We have been here for a week and are EXTREMELY satisfied with our stay. This hotel is ALL about service! The personnel, from management to housekeeping to bartenders and DJ's, have ALL gone out of their way to do something special for us. We feel like we are treated like "royalty. " I have many, many aspects of the hotel to write about, so I will write in segments. There has been a variety of delightfully presented, tasty, fresh foods to choose from at EVERY meal. Some items are staples, but they are served a little differently each day. We have fallen in love with the Italian a la carte restaurant. The food is superb! It is a classy restaurant with ambience to match. Attention is paid to EVERY detail… From the light music in the background to the wall paintings, the lighting and the presentation of the foods. The service is five star… similar, if not better, to the BEST NYC restaurants. The waiters are filling imported wine, well before you near your last sip. Orders are taken and personal preferences taken in to consideration. There is a wonderful fresh antipasto bar that includes veggies deliciously grilled, cheeses, meats and numerous Italian specialties. Next up is soup, then some phenomenal fresh pasta or a risotto dish, a main course (we are hooked on the fish) and a dessert bar with a Tiramisu cake that is DEFINITELY worth every calorie! The Maitre'd HORATIO is extraordinary! He oversees EVERY aspect of the restaurant, and pays individual ATTENTION to every diner, as well as every detail! He is very business-like, yet friendly and warm. We feel like eating in this restaurant is like going home to have dinner with family. Everyone has a smile, as they serve you in a style unusual for most Mexican hotels, especially an all inclusive. We have seen HORATIO at El Pescador during lunch. He may be management, but he walks around and checks EVERY dish to make sure it is fresh, full and flavorful. I have been to Mexico more than 23 times, and have never had the quality of service this hotel provides. I have traveled much of the world from Dubai to Turkey, Europe, Argentina and most of Latin America. We will be making Park Royal a regular stop on our winter travels. We will be leaving on the first of 2018, and couldn't think of a more wonderful place to welcome in the New Year! Randi Goldman. Brooklyn, New York.
