Where to begin? From the moment we arrived for our 4 night stay in Palenque we were overwhelmed. Check-in was fast and painless with helpful smiling faces and our car was unloaded and parked all before normal check-in time. Our meals taken at the restaurant were delicious with great presentation. Four days of breakfast and dinner with lunch once or twice. The staff were attentive and very friendly! Our deluxe suite was huge, well decorated and comfortable. We lacked for nothing … The grounds are interesting and well landscaped with a family of howler monkeys that just may pay an afternoon visit. The pool area is an oasis awaiting an afternoon visit to cool off after a day touring the ruins or waterfalls. The crowning jewel of this gem is the owner, who was on site every day of our stay. He is multilingual and goes out of his way each day to make every guest feel at home. His knowledge of the area and Mayan culture is astounding as well as his willingness to share this knowledge. He left no question unanswered. Thank you Raphael for everything! Bottom line … we loved this hotel so much that we booked an extra 2 nights after our short stay in San Cristobal de las casas. We are looking forward to them!

We had a very pleasant stay indeed! The staff is perfect, the food very good and the owners are extremely nice, helpful and most cultured. Great to talk to!

Beautiful encounter with the maya epigraphy, luxury and beauty, lush green surroundings and modern rooms.

Very nice hotel Super breakfast very well placed clean I loved.

A resort in a charming setting in Palenqe, Mexico. The rooms are in bungalows, some of the uphill far away from the lobby. The room we got had an insupportable putrified scent. The room we were switched to was smelling too, to a lesser extent. The breakfast is relatively quite poor.

Excellent to rest and enjoy the tours in Palenque.

If you are going to Palenque, stay here! The owner has created a Mayan paradise, just a couple of minutes from the park. Excellent food, wonderful staff and the rooms and lodge are incredible! Howler monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, and lots of other wildlife are right there.

This is a wonderful and unique place. A secluded and magical place. The settings emulate a Mayan village with all rooms and restaurant being built in Mayan-like style. The staff is wonderful specially Gala. They were always very attentive and nice. The owner, Raphael is a savant and very unique person, whose expertise on the Mayan culture is second to none. On one of the days he was kind enough to sit with us over dinner and we had the most riveting conversation ever. The grounds of Quinta Chanabnal also feature a lake with meandering paths trough the vegetation where you can spot the occasional wildlife. Wonderful throughout and highly recommended with absolutely no reservations. A Must in Palenque and in all of Mexico.
