La Pirogue enjoys a perfect exposure, the view from the beach is magnificent.

Very poor service… had to wait for 1:30 mins for the lunch… nothing was offered for the tea time except tea and coffee… not recommendable at all!

The vacation in this Hotel was really great. The Buffet was varied and very tasty. The Service was friendly and very polite. Friends of ours got married there and the Hotel has constructed a beautiful setting on the beach. I found the price-performance ratio absolutely in order, and would there make definitely vacation again.

La Pirogue is so beautiful place. People were friendly, food was really good and we truly enjoyed to have an vacation there.

Wonderful stay in this hotel. The rooms are in bungalows with a terrace in the oasis on the edge of a magnificent beach. No problem to find a lounge chair! Superb swimming pool that invites to relaxation. The table is excellent and the dishes are varied and delicious. And to finish, a staff helpful and smiling! Perfect address for a dream vacation! It is a small corner of paradise.

We have spent in September for part of our honeymoon at La Pirogue and it is very the complete time, regrets not to be there. It was the most beautiful Hotel we have ever seen. The Bungalows were beautiful, tasteful and extremely atmospheric. We had a Premium Garden Bungalow and a direct view to the ocean. The entire hotel complex was very well kept and landscaped, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The direct location on the beach in Flic-en-Flac is an absolute Highlight. We felt that we were still in no other Hotel so comfortable and will definitely come back. This Hotel with its wonderful staff, will have a lasting impact left behind.

We started planning our wedding a year ago and visited a fair amount of places for benchmarking purposes. None of them came close to what we have received at La Pirogue: All our requests were met with a “yes we can” attitude. Jerome sent us a wedding proposal that was not only tailor-made to our requirements but also made appropriate suggestions to take it to another level of perfection.
From there on, Kenny Ponnen and the rest of the team namely, Nicolas, Jaisila, Parwez, etc… regularly met with us and were ever so patient and accommodating to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams.
On d-day, we arrived to a beautifully decorated coconut cafe and beach front. Everything we could have hoped for and more! Food, setup, staff, music blew us away… all of it contributed to a night that relaxed bride and groom enjoyed fully, knowing that they were in excellent hands with Jerome, Kenny and the team looking after every detail.
The next day, we were treated to a beautiful lunch buffet in a privatised area of Wolmar restaurant, where all the wedding guests enjoyed a lovely meal together.

Where do I begin — quite simply stunning, heaven on earth, beautiful resort, lovely resort staff who treat you like royalty and cannot do enough for you — can't wait to go back in January 2020!

A wonderful hotel in a part of zen, boheme and warm with excellent cooks, lovely servers and personal of rooms, the managers friendly and attentive to your needs, animation team very nice and beautiful dancers that make us each evening a breathtaking show. Without forgetting the various music groups who take turns as well as all the smiles of the various personal that we meet throughout the day (reception, porter, gardener, …). Our honeymoon was sublime not of small attentions on the part of the hotel. A big thank you.

Went there for a work event and it included dinner. La Pirogue has been know as one of the best hotels in Mauritius for decades and it is living the its reputation fully. The staffs are professionals and the food was simply amazing. On a friday night, the entertainment is awesome and very lively. Very decent and happy experience. The food buffet was amazing. Try the pecking duck.

Best place to relax on earth. Got everything from sports activities to WLAN. Great food and drink (don't miss tasting locally made rum! ) Grandiosity of the place is easily matched by friendliness and warmness of staff and management — a paradise.

It needs to be less time consuming, as generally people are tired and just want to get to their rooms. The other is the shower pressure, which is too low.

La Pirogue Mauritius almost in the centre of this very long stretch of beach that's called Flic en Flac The Beach has shallow waters and is protected with a coral reef so currents are not that rough! Having your early morning run without slippers can be somewhat painful as the beach does have an abundance of washed up dead corals although the sand is on the softer side compared to some of the other beaches. La Pirogue makes use of the spacious Beachfront as to organise volley ball and other activities for its guess. Swimming and snorkelling can also be fun while seeing the flourishing coral reefs with small varieties of nursing fishes. Enjoy your stay.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed. The people there are so kind and sweet. Very small island, though. Not much to do as far as activities. But it’s definitely a wonderful place to relax and be around a nice group of friendly Afro-Indias… We took the bus down to their downtown area. Very nice! Love that children ride the bus for free during school hours. My boyfriend & I had a great time. The hotel is lovely, clean and spacious. Food was delicious. We paid for an all inclusive so we really did enjoy our stay… No shorts at dinner time for men. Well, at least when we stayed there.

A beautiful spot of earth. Hotel staff are very accommodating and always make every effort to help the guests. By the sea, a lounger is always free. We've been here for the second time now and we'll be back.

Just spent a week at this amazing hotel. 5 star service — nothing is too much trouble. My son had the wheel-chair room which was ideal for him and all the facilities were suitable for the wheel-chair. The food was incredible. We will definitely be back.

Very nice manicured hotel complex. Very clean and a beautiful beach. No hotel for people who need entertainment and party all day long. If you want to relax on holiday, you are very well catered for here. The food is very good. There are many free water sports activities. The friendly hotel staff should be particularly noteworthy. The service is really top notch. Also very good is the excellent Wlan, which is available over the entire terrain (also on the beach). The speed is very good. Holiday photos are available right to the cloud without any problems.

The pool and beach are very clean and well maintained. The buffets are varied appetizing and of good quality. Pay attention to the extras. A very good four star. On the other hand it would be nice to warn that the room n is free only at 2:00 pm and wait until 6:00 to get the room not cool.

Hello! We have spent 10 days in the Resort. The complex is very well maintained and clean. The rooms are renovated and up to date. The beach is always well maintained and there Are enough available. I can only give four stars because there were not few of the things that are really beautiful and in My opinion need to be improved. 1. There are not enough umbrellas on the beach, and these are already reserved in the morning at 5 a. M. By the guests. Many of the guests you will see on hours/ half the day is not your place under the sun screen. In time, other guests could use it. Here it would be great, as also in other Hotels usual, the not used Are to be cleared and a note that no one will be allowed to be reserved are attached Are. 2. The drinks prices in the Resort are really overpriced, and I think it would have to be urgently done something. E. G. 11 Euro for a glass of wine. 3. In part, the waiters are rude, completely unmotivated and seem to be overwhelmed. I think it is the they is because alone a large area of tables to cover. Possibly you can think about the density of the Employees. Greetings.

It's a 4-star hotel and it's almost rightly so. The hotel is so big that if you're located on the edges, it's a long walk to the busy area — pool, restaurants and so on. It's very rare that you could see a club car around to ask for a lift. The lady did not appreciate walking the distance in heels for dinner. Room and amenities are good but we had the very bad experience of a noisy AC and had a very bad stay because of that despite the promise of it being fixed soon when we checked in. The food was amazing. The dinner buffet was the best I've ever had at any hotel in Mauritius. The breakfast is great… and with Champagne! One positive side of staying at La Pirogue is that you get access to all the activities, restaurants (on reservation), and especially the adult "quiet" pool of Sugar Beach Resort. Overall, we won't stay at La Pirogue again because of the noisy AC that was not taken care of as promised because we can't trust such staff again… But we'll probably try Sugar Beach which seems to have higher quality accommodation and better trained staff.

Great place. Would recommend it to families with small children. Service is top notch. The only reason I gave 4 stars are the rooms/bungalows which in my opinion are little outdated and would need some refurbishment. All in all, a perfect place which I highly recommend.

The service is excellent in all the hotel. The children’s club seems safe and fulfils our daughters (11 years) demands, breakfast is great, the dinner is delightful and relaxing. The room service is excellent. Everybody is friendly. When we left there was a misunderstanding about our late check-out, but your front desk crew handled it professionally and to our satisfaction.

Well established hotel, located on the beach. Hotel staff cleans the beach every morning. Nice thatched bungalows spread out over a beautiful and well maintained park. Very caring staff. Lots of activities are offered all day long. Very good night entertainment. Buffet breakfast and dinner. Quality of the food is good for breakfast but average for dinner. More variety would be appreciated. Beach is nice but swimming is not really possible at low tide except with flippers.

The Best Hotel in Mauritius. We have been back 9 times, I think that says it all. Food 5 star. Staff 5 star. Gardens and rooms 5 star. This hotel has recently had an upgrade and has made huge improvements to the rooms, restaurants and watersport facilities. Well done! We will be back. Thanks again to all staff for an incredible holiday.

Very restricted behaviour allowed in the pool. Restaurant served the best meal between the two hotels, but there also was far too few courses in the all inclusive to eat here more than twice. Best bar between the hotels, they were attentive and fast! Housing looks nicer here but I preferred Suger Beach overall.

Lovely hotel.
Accommodation-5, room-5. The room has everything from a hair dryer and ending with a bucket for ice. I'm not talking about a drip coffee machine and cleaning the room TWICE a day.
The food is 5. But I'm not a gourmet. The hotel had food for every taste.
The beach is 5. The beach is clean. Towels in unlimited quantity without any tags. Water and fruit water on the beach are free of charge.
The territory is chic. And they look after her great. For a long time I have not seen such a reverent attitude to greenery on the territory. The location is great.
The location of the hotels is perfect. It's 4 minutes to flick en flick and you can choose your restaurant. Or walk to the souvenir shops. Or go a little further-to the supermarket.
The staff was very friendly.

1st stay at the pirogue that I would describe very well: small but on "room" scattered in a huge would be on the seaside. Some have the sea view of other sea views through the coconut palms. Several restaurants with a kitchen that varies every night. A great pool. And a very good welcome! We'll be back on it!

On this resort I want to do a thorough detail: Rooms: The rooms have been recently rearranged. Comfortable beds, flat TV high definition, air conditioner and fan, bindings for every type of socket including those already ready for mobile reloal (USB wall mount) Large bathroom with large shower and bathtub as well as 2 sinks. The Room is located in hut structures immersed in the green. In the bathrooms they do find body Lotion Cream Conditioner shampoo as well as numerous towels 2 bathrobes and room slippers.
Location: The property is located on the beach of Flic & Flac a short distance from the hotel are located shops (mini market and a bit more in the supermarket center as well as the usual souvenir shops). The beach attached to the property is beautiful. It Shows a breathtaking panorama. The property allows free use of peddle and surf and, with reservation, the tour on the coral reef with the boat with glass bottom.
Time: The position leads to more rainfall than the northern zone. The showers is usually short-lived. The Sun is strong and it is already perceived by 6 o'clock in the morning.
Cleaning: The cleaning is continuous and impeccable. IN The structure There are many people (you have almost more employees than guests).
Food: The structure has several restaurants. In The Main restaurant are offered several dishes in abundance and prepared very well.

Beautiful improvements after the work of 2016 in the rooms, on the Organization of the beach with more paillotes, foams on the deckchairs
and towels at will picked up by the employees and beautiful canvases stretched around the main bar and the animation allowing to be sheltered while following the animations.
Flat… In the bathrooms two small hand washes as a washbasin allowing women to wash just a thong or a bra but not both at the same time. The washrooms of the toilets scattered in the hotel are twice as big!
The Middle door slams unpleasantly, mainly at night, wood on wood without being soundproof.
And especially for the three beach restaurants offering the same as for a corporate canteen with plenty of supplements even for the "all-inclusive". Only the main evening restaurant in international buffet is OK. Little things to fix to be at the top…

For the "all inclusive" I thought everything was understood. Bad surprise, too many things are paying. We are far from all inclusive… Alas.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
All the umbrellas are booked early in the morning, and often unoccupied. The hotel should prohibit this kind of practice.

Wonderful Resort… An unforgettable experience… The cleanliness is of great class, the food is delicious, every day you eat different, the fresh fish, the staff very kind, always ready, the space is great of the resort, perhaps the best in all Mauritius, the rooms are exceptional, spacious, a resort where you was also the Queen of England… Who wants to go, never buy with the price they sell you on the beach or the market or in stores, always treated the price you can get a price of 70% less…

Our third visit to La Pirogue and as with the previous visits it was a superb experience. The management and all the staff always made us feel very welcome and keen to make sure we had an enjoyable holiday. Always friendly and professional in every way. The ongoing upgrades to the hotel are pleasing whilst retaining the unique features of the property which is crucial. All the staff work happily as a team. The dinner menu was excellent and changed daily with always a varied choice to suit all tastes. We shall return for another vacation.

Location, climate and facilities were great. The beach was beautiful and the sunsets picturesque (every photo looks better with a palm tree in it). The rooms were bright and cool but the partition walls thin enough to hear most of what was happening next door. Housekeeping seemed a bit random in regard to the time of day they visited and soft furnishings (like our bathroom rug) could disappear without notice or reason. Similarly the evening turndown service only occurred on three of the seven nights we were there. Despite the quantity, the evening buffet was a little underwhelming and the emphasis was more on the guests palates than a representation of local cuisine. There was a very poor range for vegetarians (on Asian night there was only one vegetarian dish — even the salads contained meat or fish). There didn't seem to be enough staff in the evenings and the service was a little chaotic — it was often difficult attracting someone's attention to get a drink or the bill. Breakfasts were much better, however, and there were enough staff to get you a coffee and set you up for the day. The evening entertainment was a little dated but fun if you wanted it. Unfortunately the proximity of the Entertainment Area to the Magenta Restaurant meant that if you were inclined to have a quiet meal in its romantic setting you were disturbed by the overwhelming noise. Also Magenta seemed unable to produce what was actually stated on their menu and even sent us elsewhere for coffee.

Very nice setting, very well maintained gardens, friendly and attentive staff, varied meals and quality.
The room is very beautiful with however a major defect: we heard everything that was going on in the neighbors, when they spoke, coughed, posed an object.
I could not sleep well, it was necessary to be careful not to interfere and it is a pity because it hurts well-being in his room. For this reason, the room note will be only 2.
The evening entertainment could be improved.

The buffet selection for breakfast and dinner was awesome and meal times were a real treat with an incredible selections of food choices. The deserts at dinner were the best. The chalets are set in stunning tropical gardens with the backdrop of views of the sea. The catamaran day excursion was something that nobody should miss as well as the excursion to the Pampalmoose Gardens and the market at Port Louis. Beautiful beaches with warm water. The nightly entertainment was a highlight of our stay and added to the ambiance of the resort. We had an amazing holiday and will definitely be back.

Beautiful hotel, but I have a preference for the old garden bungalow, but it's still pretty and nice. Too bad the toilets are in the bathroom (I think it could have had an improvement at that level), this is the only small drawback of the rooms. The service is impeccable. Small flat for the morning buffet which remains very repetitive and the evening buffet there is less choice than two years ago, but remains very good. The evenings are nice and the spectacles beautiful. But an animation with the dancers for the customers would be a plus. We came specially to be able to have information for our wedding because we chose your beautiful hotel to celebrate it, unfortunately we stay in wait for a quotation and see what you can offer us, it's a pity We came just for that, and we have nothing concrete. Perhaps at this level, it would be necessary to have a special person who organizes so that couples who come with a particular request reparts satisfied, which was not the case. The only thing we are sure of is that it is extremely expensive, the same price as at the:-/meeting. We sincerely hope that this can do so and that you can offer us something interesting because we sold the dream to our guests, we embark an entire family in your hotel (80 people, precisely for now about thirty Rooms).

The resort is on the whole fabulous and the stay was comfortable, relaxing.
The music entertainment after dinner of a very good standard and luckily there was no intrusive animation typical of other facilities. So, the structure I consider to be refined and tasteful, considered also the villas where it was lodged. Certainly a window with mosquito net to let in a little ' air without risk of letting in insects would have been desirable (even if the room had the air conditioner and the bathroom the aspirator). So every now and then I opened the front door to make the air change, but at night you sleep. Rearrange the rooms twice a day. We were half board (breakfast and dinner), but we did not suffer the hunger at lunch considering the great and plentiful buffet at the main restaurant.

Had the most incredible two weeks here, the staff were the most friendly I have ever found and I am well travelled! The rooms came with amazing amenities including a powerful hairdryer and big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel which is rare! The food at all restaurants were amazing but I would definitely recommend all inclusive as if we had not been, each meal would cost more than £300! This is the one place I would go back to without a question!

I loved to have been in La Pirogue. It was a wonderful environment, very calm, full of energy, well organized and completely clean. I loved also the shows.

Heavenly report, characteristic and cosy bungalows equipped with every comfort, a la carte or buffet of high standard and international menus. Scuba diving, snorkeling, nature trails enrich a dream holiday.

We had our honeymoon in this corner of paradise! Everything is wonderful and idyllic! the hosts are very friendly and are very friendly, we can enjoy the benefits of the sugar beach! * All buffets are excellent, the food was fresh and appetizing, hospitality is flawless! I gladly put 10 stars!

I stayed 15 days. I've just come back, the village is beautiful a beautiful sea dream I ate fairly well, cleanliness is great but I have to express a terrible judgment about the Organization of the Directorate which has proved incapable and not available. With what I paid for the stay I was claiming a greater availability. Surely in this village will never go, but mostly I don't recommend it.

Has very good standards despite the age of the establishment. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The management as well seems friendly.

Special and unique resort as the bungalows are shaped like the small fisher-boat 'pirogue' and hidden between the palm trees. Very green site indeed. As the these are bungalows with max. Of two parties (superior bungalows and interior) you will not get in trouble with noisy neighbors. The pool is excellent and somewhat colorful decorated with plants and flowers. The tiles of that pool are in different colors, which makes it even more appealing. Rich buffet — especially diner — with frequently changing the 'cuisine-theme', so you don't get bored in always having the same stuff on the plate. Asian, Indian, African European food … to name a few. The staff and services are very friendly. I have spent a nice wedding and honeymoon in La Pirogue and am glad to recommend it any time.
