We stayed at Samba’s place at both the beginning and the end of our trip to Mauritania, and it was a great experience.

Excellent hospitality, reliable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite our late arrival, the owner ensured a smooth pickup and warm reception.

After an all day/night drive from Senegal into Nouakchott (whew 😮‍💨), this hotel truly came through.

I had a great stay at the Urban Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room was fantastic.

I had a good stay at Azalai. The hotel is well located and easy to walk to the central market and explore a bit if you like. It has a nice pool and the rooms were decent and clean.

The service is what stood out the most the staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive.

Good place to connect with people and stop off for a night or two. Run by a friendly guy named Sébastien who is very helpful and can provide you with airport taxi service.

The best hotel I've stayed in NKC, no pool or gym, but clean spacious rooms, excellent service, clean towels, good food (compared to what you find in the city), overall I had a good stay.

This is a great hotel in a central area in Nouakchott. The rooms are huge and comfortable, ac works well so does hot water. The hotel were super helpful in providing an airport transfer even at 3am.

Pretty good. Nice rooms. Comfortable and quiet. What really let it down was the terrible restaurant. If you’re vegan, bring your own food and don’t pay for the breakfast.

Really there is very little bad to say about this hotel. It is clean and with good decor. It is in a quiet area. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

We had a last minute emergency at 6 am and we had to check in. We had no problem at all, we have been welcome super well and guided to our room. Super clean and nice and cozy. Lovely interior design.

Let's be honest, there is not exactly a huge amount to do or see in Nouakchott, so it is just as well to have a nice hotel to hang out in. The Monotel perfectly fits the bill.

Big rooms, comfortable bed and a high building with a view of entire city. Breakfast needs a bit work 😂

There is a cafe on the top floor of the building with the best views in Nouakchott. You can go up there and get a coffee and take in the views of the large Saudi mosque and the rest of the city.
