This place is great. Everything is thought out with so much care and attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and all have great views. This is the place to relax! The food is so great. The head chef is meticulous about the food and preparation. The staff is great. No complaints. I could go on and on about the compliments. John, Stanley, Ramen, Rambo, Affir, and James Bond of the island V2 (Visha, Mr. Friday) mad the stay incredible. Definitely visit meera spa for a relaxing session.

Unfortunately weather was only conditionally beautiful, often rain and strong wind. Hotel complex great but priced way too high, 180, — US dollars for a massage?!

We picked Gili Lankanfushi as our first choice to visit the Maldives And we had an excellent time. Our stay could not be any more perfect! We stayed in the residence with a pool, the villa was enormous, with a panoramic ocean view, a huge swimming pool and an upper deck where we could see the stars at night. The natural yet luxury-style villa truly caught my heart. The island is so clean, eco friendly with the Philosophy of “no shoes, no news” which Made me truly believe to be lost in a dream Paradise Island. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are not only doing their job with perfection level but also go above and beyond to make sure all guests are having their greatest experience. Our villa was located on jetty 1. There was so much sea life we could spot just metres from our deck. Me, never had snorkelling experience, but jetty 1 is perfect for me, the water is so calm and easy for the first-timer. The food quality was amazing! All the ingredients are fresh and cooked right in front of you. We had the best time there and going to be one of the greatest memories of our life. I can’t wait to revisit Gili in the near future. I will recommend this resort to everyone and anyone! What a dream come true. I could not thank enough Gili and all the staff been looking after us. P. The best resort I’ve ever been to! The best time in paradise top notch in every way and the most friendliest staff! Our Mr Friday Mifi was a star! For my first time in the Maldives I have to say it was mind blowing! The sea life you see from your lagoon villa is amazing turtles sting rays sharks and all sorts of beautiful fish. We cannot wait to return to this very special resort.

The villa here is spectacular! Super beautiful and very functional! You could stay in the villa all day without doing anything. Love the setting and the concept of very natural resort and it’s just a shot speedboat ride from Male you could see the whole star constellation!

One of the best decision that we made was to visit Gili Lankanfushi❤️ Serivces, foods, drinks everything were top notch! Can stay there for whole my life but then again you have to come to reality very soon🥲 Would recommend everyone to stay over there and to have a pleasant time among the nature🌊

An absolutely stunning place, with incredible facilities for the perfect ‘unplugged’ getaway. Tremendous food, phenomenal staff, gorgeous over-water villas and a huge number of activities available — from diving to tennis lessons, from sushi classes to spa treatments. Bike around the island on the provided bamboo bikes for the complete experience. 10/10

Wonderful service and absolutely gorgeous property! We went with two young kids and the staff did everything to make sure us and our kids had the best time — and quite frankly, we’re already secretly plotting a return without the kids (and we haven’t even left! ). Loved it.

Me and my partner have had the most amazing stay here at Gili! ☀️ The service has been exceptional! The food experience we’ve had here has been the best, so impressed by the huge selection of food and the excellent quality. So talented and passionated chefs, it has been a pleasure to eat very single meal of the day to try new dishes and flavors! Food allergies/preferences? No problem, they fix The hosts have been both professional and personal in the best combination, making our stay welcoming and relaxing. We stayed in one of their lagoon villas, so nice and we could access snorkeling by the coral reef easy from there. We’ve enjoyed the great restaurants, relaxed in the sun, had spa treatments, snorkeled, worked out in the well equipped gym, taken surf lessons and surfed waves and we have had the best vacation in a long time! I can really recommend this place!

If I had to sum up our experience at Gili Lankanfushi in one word, it would be extraordinary! It was such a moving experience that my wife and I were both emotional about leaving, and actively thinking about how we could return. There are 5* resorts, and then there is Gili. No words can describe the experience which is luxurious but not ostentatious, romantic but not corny, all encompassing but not overbearing. Villas are huge and impeccable. Service is spot on. Food is perfect. All in all the perfect getaway from planet earth!

The best place found from earth for holidays.

Gili is sustainably luxurious — the food, the atmosphere, the amenities, the staff, and the view are all fabulous! There wasn’t a day we didn’t see sharks or sea turtles. We loved snorkeling and diving and the peace and tranquility of our villa! The size and limited number of guests makes this resort stand out from the rest — we look forward to returning!

The room at the water village is amazing. I give a 100. It is a high end resort with sparkling wine serve for breakfast. I love this place!

The maldives is famous for the weather, views, the lifestyle, the Villa's, Gili has that. All over the Maldives the staff are wonderful, you are made to feel welcome, comfortable, even loved. Staff will talk and smile and make you feel amazing. However, in Gili the staff will talk about themselves, their experiences, their love for work and "their island" as well as make you feel all of the above. I have been truly inspired by the team work, togetherness, and true passion. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life, and always talk kindly, indeed praise, the management, and staff of a very special place on earth.

Took a trip to another resort at Maldives but we were so pampered by our earlier experience at Gili Lankanfushi that everything paled in comparison. Missing the tasty & healthy breakfast buffets, the views and being one with nature. Looking forward to the reopening!

I went there with my husband for our honeymoon and spent 3 nights. When they gave us the tour of the island and the house I was about to cry as I had never seen anything that beautiful before. We stayed in a water villa. It was really spacious, stylish, verrrry private and unimaginably beauuuutiful. The pictures/ videos do not do justice. The ocean water around the villa is just unbelievable! Such beautiful colour you’ll never see anywhere in the world. … Every morning I woke up, I had to pinch myself to think if I was literally in heaven. We most of the time did in room dining. Their sea food is incomparable. Very delicious. The island is designed and structured in a way that we cannot complain about anything. Sand is soft you don’t have to wear shoes or thongs. You will find really nice pools/ bar/ wine cellar/ cheese n chocolate rooms/ cinema/ marine sports center/ table tennis/ boutiques for jewellery and souvenirs etc you name it they have it. The service was excellent. Everyone will have one guide to take care of them throughout their stay and he’s just one call away. They all are very lovely people and well trained to serve you. No awkward conversations. Very interesting people who are very experienced. Most importantly the island is full of destinations to have dinners and lunches. Its a must and you need to book in advance. It’s that competitive to get a booking.

Pictures barely do justice to the beauty of Gili Lankanfushi, so words will no doubt fall short as well. However, I will try. First of all, the setting is truly amazing. All the villas at Gili Lankanfushi sit on stilts above beautiful turquoise waters in the atoll. So you’re surrounded by beautiful vistas on all sides and there is always a breeze.   Of course you come to a place like this for relaxation and there are plenty of choices for lounging: the upper deck (great for after dark when the stars are out), or ‘inside’ in the main area (when you need a break from the sun) ; want to work on your tan? the ‘outdoor’ deck has lots to offer. Our villa, like most was 250 square meters (2, 690 sq ft! ), and every comfort has been provided. The attention to detail is amazing. For example: like most of the villas ours was connected to the island by a wooden walkway (the “Robinson Crusoe Villas” are only accessible by boat) and we used bicycles to ride to the island for dinner, or a workout, or a massage. These bicycles are made to look as though they are made of bamboo, but the little detail that floored me was a pouch hanging off the handlebar that contained a small towel. To wipe off the seat after a rain? Mop the brow after laying in the sun?   The service was amazing, the staff was attentive and always smiling, no doubt because they work in paradise for what obviously is a well run organization. Fantastic experience, it will be very hard to top!

Stayed at Gili lankanfushi for 5 days for our honeymoon in May 2015. It was so lovely experience! Staff were so friendly and professional, they whole island atmosphere was so natural and amazing! Will come back when we visit Maldives again.

We just enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Gili. Besides the beautiful beach and the amazing colors of the sea, Gili’s service is really excellent, all the people are friendly and you will believe they all do their best to make you feel good.
Gili provide a real concierge, our Ms. Friday Nana is the best, she assisted us to arrange everything wonderfully. Abdhulla, responsible for main restaurant, he made our every breakfast happy and excellent. Our house keeper is always careful and help us have a most comfortable villa.
Gili is the best, especially when you want to celebrate an important day in your life, you must come to Gili, you will have an unforgettable memory.

Fantastic Location with a huge spectacular lagoon as a few if you see it near bad that you reach in 15/20 minutes by fast boat The accommodations are Spartan deliberately but comfortable and especially eco friendly, theme respected in all the details of Resort!

Liked its sophistication. Rooms. Service. Not a very beautiful home reef… But I understand that divers do not go here very much… The bungalows are… Nearby there is an island to which you can alloy. Everything is very organized… Just pay the money. Any whim at your expense. The food is excellent. As well as the wine list…

Very big villas. This resort has only water villas, there are no beach bungalows. Each villa has two level where you can go snorkeling directly from the terrace. You can also enjoy a romantic dinner at the beach. Wifi is free and available on the whole island.

With it’s child friendly villas that staff are only too happy to reconfigure to suit, Its standard open air couple villas that make you feel l…ike you’re at one with the sea upon opening the front doors and the Robinson Crusoe style villas accessible only by small boat (manned by the guest). ‘Gili’ has it all. Nothing ever seems to be a problem with your own ‘Friday’ butler, and that is a big selling point for many. Whether it’s a drink at the bar you’d like brought back to your villa, a midnight snack or just a special dinner on your own private rooftop this property says yes, and keeps saying it. The Ayurvedic inspired, overwater Spa, your own personal Bamboo bikes to navigate around the island and the renowned ’By The Sea’ Japanese cuisine restaurant with its own Teppanyaki bar… How can you get possibly get bored with relaxation? That's before you touch on the dive centre, very chic sunset bar — purposely located for the perfect shot and the tennis court and gym if it’s all just too much for you.

One of the best island resort that we have been. Nice beach and lagoon. The staff are all well trained to perfection. As for the food it is all great. They have different themed night for everday of the week. Last but not forgotten is our Mr. Friday : Ms. Nana that handled us so well. She really make us feel at a home away from home. We would recommend anyone that come to maldives ti enjoy their holiday in Gili lankanfushi. Thumbs up overall services here.

The best holiday I have ever been at — and I'm not even selling it well enough! Gili philosophy is "coming as a guest, leaving as a friend, coming back as a family" — and it works. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but definitely worth every penny. Amazing sea, huge villas, super friendly staff where everything is possible. Mr. Friday Yasir and waiter Affeef start on top of the list. And the best recommendation from all: We are coming back!

Great place to visit if you like over water villas.

My wife and I stayed in one of the crusoe residences in May 2016. We stayed in multiple resorts on our trip and found this place was one of the best. From the beginning of the trip to the end, the level of service was flawless. The resort was clean and I still remember that it had the softest sand out of all the destinations visited. I don't remember having a bad meal and our delightful Mr Friday, Atheef was always on hand to help us. They organised a dolphin trip when one wasn't scheduled and also managed to squeeze us in their japanese restaurant when there wasn't any availability. My wife was 5 months pregnant and they were very attentive and made sure she was comfortable throughout her stay, they even had a pregnancy pillow organised for us without us even asking! It wasn't cheap but 1 year on I still have fond flashbacks of our trip — that makes it worth every penny. We are already planning our next trip with our new family member!

This is a great holiday destination, arriving here from Malé by boat takes 20 minutes. This super luxury resorts, there are two restaurants to choose from, there is water and a first-class spa. Here also the possibility of water sports and diving.
