Take care for yourselves (very less help/supply) from owner. The 2 stars are on cleanliness.

Friendly staffs, clean room, room service only available if requested. There are maps that mark the few best locations for tourists to check out in the lobby. Also, there's a beautiful garden on the second floor. The rooms are not soundproofed. There is a box for you to throw your hotel keys in for your convenience when checking out too. The room we stayed in had a hairdryer and refrigerator. Would recommend to family and friends. Very impressed.

Value for money… good hotel, very clean room. There is a live music performance at the restaurant just opposite this hotel. We can hear it from the room. Good for people who likes music. Shower gel, shampoo and towels provided. Only 5 Bahasa TV channels are available. Mini fridge and safe are provided. Two story building and no lift. Public parking available around this hotel but need to buy parking tokens, which is available in hotel. There are many Chinese restaurants nearby.

It strategic place to stay if you want to explore ipoh and pakeeza reastaurant just next to it.

Rooms are clean. Worth the stay with private parking. Feel safe.

Nice clean place, except Wi-Fi didnt work, staff leave at 6pm. So no reception.

Booked a room for two. the room is amazingly small but comfy enough to stay overnight. a bit dusty though when checked-in. as other reviewer said no elevator might be a bit not suitable for the handicapped. Oh ya~ water pressure really low~ on the bright side it didn't splash all the place inside the compact toilet.

Had a nasty fall while coming out from the toilet they did not gave a mat and this made me fall it was slipperly praised God I was fine but had a knock on my head and my neck was slight pain. I hope when I wake up tomorrow morning I pray I'll be fine. Regreted staying in this guess house. Quiet a distance from the food area. They only gave us a towel on the 2nd day and that too the cleaner said they waiting for the clean towels. No place to hang the towel. And for the elderly not recomanded they have to climb few steps to go to their room. Ours was at the 2nd? and what a climb.! entrance door was slightly dim…

Room is clean and tidy, however no Lift and not convenient for Senior citizen.

Doesn't look good from outside. But inside the room, it is cozy and clean.

Clean room, nice customer service. They were renovating 3rd floor, when we were there. The owner' daughter offered to drive us to night market. The downsize is Ipoh taxi system is not really convinient and they don't have enough number of taxi.

We love the place for its location, accessibilities and friendliness of the staff. The rooms were very clean, spacious and beautifully themed, Our great appreciation to the hotel to 'go that extra mile' to let us have our bath when we return to collect our luggages late evening eventhough she was already off duty! The staff were very courteous, helpful and always there to lend a hand … they also made us feel safe.
You will be in good hands whenever you stay in Shamrock Guest House, Ipoh,
