This place is fantastic. Great rooms, great roof bar, great service, great great breakfast. Best place to stay.

2nd stay at Le Dream hotel. As usual all the Staff are friendly, helpful and top notch service. But their roof top is undergoing renovation works, so no shelter and movies. That's abit disappointment for the kids. suggestions if I may;
1. May consider serving finger food at the rooftop bar to go along with the drinks. I guess most of us willing to pay for it. 2. Hotel restaurant used to serve local food for lunch. Maybe can offer such options again as I remb the food are delicious then. lastly, shootout to Ms Rita. Offer my family a small token of appreciation (box of biscuit) for return customers.

Staff were very helpful, room was clean but a bit small, shared bathrooms and toilets were fairly clean. In a really nice building, relaxed vibe and convenient location.

Good hostel, friendly staff and nice areas to relax. My only concern would be that there are no locks on my room, not sure if it's just this one or all of the bedrooms. There are lockers available but not in the rooms. I would stay here again though.

The hotel is conveniently located near several malls, bars and night markets. I stayed in the windowless room which turned out to be great for sleeping in. The hotel staff were very friendly. Besides the usual breakfast buffet, there's also high tea buffet, free flow wine (6-7pm) and movie nights everyday. Definitely the best deal one can get!

Excellent boutique hotel with friendly staff willing to assist to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. I won't stay anywhere else when I visit Penang and the placement of the hotel in Georgetown is very central so you can walk nearly everywhere very easily. Amazing selection at breakfast, mid afternoon high tea and happy hour sunset drinks on the rooftop bar followed by a movie and free popcorn.

There's not enough to say about this hotel! The staff if always kind and willing to help. The complimentary items are never ending. From the welcome drink, free ice cream, wine, snacks, popcorn, nightly movies, free drinks in the minifridges you'll enjoy coming back to the hotel after the day out. The breakfast has a wide array of options as well! The rooms are exceptionally clean and have a modern design. The bathrooms are nicely done with more complimentary gifts. The rooftop bar has a great view of the city and there are also two hot tubs up there that provided comfort and privacy. You may be hard pressed to find a better hotel in the city.

This hotel will blow you away with the willingness to serve. Great service with LOTS of complimentary stuff. Not often you get free drinks in your mini bar. We get 4 cans of soda daily if we let them clean the room. Toiletaries are provided. Buffet breakfast every morning. Tea break every afternoon. Free flow wine in the evening with ice cream and biscuits… And movie with popcorn at night. Holy moly. How do you get this kinda service at this kind of price. Rare gem! Will return!

Well located to walk around Georgetown. Good size room, nice bathroom. Great free Wi-Fi throughout. Breakfast is included in my package but also complimentary tea/coffee and light snacks from 3:30 to 5pm. Roof terrace with free drinks, ice cream, Jacuzzi and 1 film shown from 8:30pm. Great place to stay.

Excellent location — that's why I give it 4 stars. Minute to the night market with all the great food at night. It is also a great base to explore Georgetown. Only complaint is that the walls are thin so you can hear others when you are in the room. Also be mindful that there is only stairs to go up one floor.

Room toilet outside, room also no TV, said there is help to wash clothes, nine o ' clock in the morning to 10 o'clock also said did not wash, really cruel stick.

One of the best hostels/accommodations I've been lucky enough to stay in. Amazing hospitality and friendly guests. Very clean space and complete amenities for backpackers. Beds were comfy too. Superb location. No more than 15min walk from any of the main attractions in Georgetown. Highly recommend to solo travellers/small groups.

I was surprised that some of the staffs addressed me by my last name. Furthermore, during my checkout, the staff offered and packed simple breakfast for me to be taken to the airport. These are the little things that make me feel personal. On top of that, they provide tasty breakfast, free high tea and many others. A highly recommended hotel.

The owners are wonderful and the common area really relaxing to chill out in. Not the most sociable place when I was there, really can't work out why. But a comfortable place to stay.

Found this on line, good price, good location. Checking in to be told there was free wine, ice cream, Jacuzzi on the roof, all brilliant. Room small but complete with everything you want and need and more. Helpful friendly staff, and good quality breakfast choice. Best small hotel I've stayed in, anywhere.

Well maintained homestay situated at the heart of Penang's heritage area hot spots. A couple of minutes away from good food and convenience stores.

Superb hotel. Everything are nice. Every staff are nice. No matter the location, the cleanliness, the rooms, the food, the decoration, the amenities, the attitude of the staff and the warmness from their greetings, all of them are super great. U can just bring nothing and go into this hotel. They provide everything u need. They serve the free breakfast from 7:30-10:30, free afternoon tea 3-5:30 and free flow of ice cream and wine after 6 on the roof. U can enjoy movie with popcorn for free. Jacuzzi and gym also located on the roof. All the receptionists remember my name! I will definitely come back. I really love this hotel and Penang! Thank you so much for making my trip enjoyable.

The place is really cozy and quiet during day and night. But some people are naturally loud when they speak. But overall it was really great.

Absolutely fantastic. Great rooftop bar and spa, very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Clean and modern rooms and restaurant, and one of the best breakfasts I've had. Really is worth 5 stars.

Hardly find a nice grill lamb but found it in the town. Can have a try on their lamb and spaghetti. Will visit again.

Loved our stay here. Beautifully designed hotel with a central location, clean, comfortable. Breakfast comes with the room and features both western and location fare, including some fruits and vegetables. The staff is warm and knowledgeable about the area. Great service. Would definitely recommend and return to.

Lovely and very well located guest house — we has a clean and large room with private showers. The venue is definitely cute and the staff is very nice. The only bad thing is the lack of cleaning services during our stay. Would stay there again though.

Very nice hotel in the heart of George Town. The staff is always professional, nice and available. Rita can also speak Italian and she is always very helpful. I recommend this place to visit Penang.

Oh man, I’ve been to a bunch of hotels from my travels, but I gotta say, staying here has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Helpful staff, great breakfast selections, and located in the center of Penang’s art district. If you decide to stay here, make sure to checkout all the art easter eggs lying around town, as well as museums! 10/10 will for sure visit again!

Le Dream has lots of perks for a reasonable price. The free wine and soda, breakfast buffet, and high tea snacks are great. The rooms are compact but good and the staff is very nice and helpful. I also liked the location near a lot of attractions. Only flaw worth mentioning is the iffy quality of the bathroom fixtures.

Modern hotel with friendly staff, clean sheets and a number “freebies”, like a complimentary minibar, ice cream and high tea. Just don’t expect to be wowed by the variety of the latter.

Really noteworthy Hostel we stayed 3 nights but it was well worth it we would have stayed much longer. The rooms very clean and the common areas very clean and welcoming especially The bathrooms. Really recommended to young couples and with cheap budget. Ivan the employee at the front desk really nice and super helpful!

More suited for backpackers/students than families as its very simple and doesn't allow for the privacy or comfort of a regular hotel, but thats to be expected as it is a "guesthouse". Room A6 was extremly small and in a very public part of the house, not alot of privacy and very noisy all the time The stairs leading upstairs are EXTREMELY steep and small, likely not appropriate for people who are older/injured or even children. The Wi-Fi is average and the bedding was scratchy, but a good thing is that the whole place is very clean. Overall I cant fault it for what it is, but given the price, you can probably get a decent hotel instead of a hostel type residence. Compared to other hostels, its highly reccomended.

It is a guesthouse so beautiful! The location is perfect, right in the Chinatown, the decor is great, all very neat and clean. The attention of the staff is excellent and is always available for anything you need… Thank you so much Ivan! (I had a medical emergency and I took care of the luggage and they were very understanding with the situation without charge me any surcharge for late check-out) and to be 1-star ratio quality/price is totally worth it! 100% if you are going to Georgetown for a weekend, or a month, you will feel at home and a family! ❤️

Great location, amazing staff, lots of thoughtful little touches, very clean and nice artistic decor. Comfy bed, decent AC and showers. Only let down is dependent on if you have a person in the room above you with heavy feet (suggest the hostel gets some rugs on the wooden floors to dampen the noise) — otherwise an excellent place to stay.

It is hip and trendy, the location is great if you plan on getting around George Town on foot. The staff, especially Ivan are accomodating, warm, and will take the extra mile to assist you. Their English is also impeccable. However, by all means do not get Room A6 as it is very near the common areas and may get a bit noisy at times. But overall, our experience here is quite fanstastic!

I am loving this guest house. The serenity & peace here is almost tangible! The guests are of above average standard and the staff are awesome. The bed is extremely comfortable & I love my little space. I will definately be back in January with my family from South Africa. The host, Ivan is really great & I got a lovely welcome even though I arrived much later than expected. My best experience in a guest house to date. So helpful with ideas of where to go & what to do & how to get there. They really go the extra mile!

Amazing hotel, perfect location for visiting Georgetown. Rooms are well sized and nicely decorated. The roof top bar has lovely views of Penang hill. Great service from all the staff. Great happy hour included in room rate. Nothing to fault at all & would stay again.

I am a repeat guest for this hotel and I rarely provide reviews or feedbacks for my hotel stays. Given the price, location, ambience and the great hospitality provided by the the hotel manager Rita and team. I will highly recommend this hotel for visitors. Though there are some flaws regarding prejudice and discriminating services on the breakfast counter, where I have described below. In comparison with my previous visit last year. This year the hotel has improved further services for their guest by providing free high tea with local deserts, drinks in the evening, movie screening with free snacks and ice creams. I can honestly state that many other competitors with a higher price tag do not go for such far length for services. I intended to provide a five star review however, due to the unpleasant services I have received from the breakfast counter I have to reduce the rating. The personnel that is involved I believe is named as Benny with Filipino accent that wears full black outfit with a ponytail. I have noted her presence since my first visit on 2016 though not very pleasant but I decided to forget about it. On the second visit, I noticed she still provides double standard of services for oriental/Asian looks guest and western looks guest. Benny will personally serve western guest and greet them which absolutely fair, however whenever an oriental guest enters, she will not entertain or greet them. After repeated visits observations.

Location Perfect for young guests wanting to walk to chulia street. Roof deck jacuzzi, free flow wine on the roof deck skybar from 5-7pm. Perfect sunset while u enjoy this. They go all out on Breakfast buffet spread and the staff has a fool-proof system of handling guests. Amazing team of staff. What more can a girl ask for?

They serve lunch. Food and presentation are awesome with reasonalble price. Should give the restaurant/cafe a try if anyone is around town area.

Initially I was worried the hotel rooms would be a little small but the superior room we selected was big enough for us and relatively cheap. The room was clean and housekeeper did a good job everyday. They provided toothbrush, shampoo, shower gel, comb, sewing kit, etc which is pleasant because a lot of boutique hotels don't provide these given the low cost. When we first arrived, the guy at the reception greeted us with a warm smile and showed us must-sees in Penang. He exp…lained there were free breakfast from 7:30-10:30, free tea from 3:30-5:00, free happy hour wine from 5:30-7:30, free movie / popcorn from 8:30, free icecream and biscuits from 5 till midnight, jacuzzi from 8am till 10pm, free soda at the room, free shuttle within 3km from the hotel and free gym 24 hours. We were like. What? It was way more than we asked for. I especially liked the pasta at breakfast (I know it's western) but because they serve western cuisine in the evening, their chef must be good with pastas. I also liked the freshly made omlete, fried and soup noodles. The location of the hotel was very convenient and we could walk to most tourist spots. It was a safe area so it wasn't a problem walking by ourselves late at night (hmm. We went to the night market just around the corner for midnight snacks quite frequently). The hotel staff were all very friendly and most speak English, and quite a few of them can speak Cantonese and Mandarin.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in my whole life. If I ever run a hotel, I will do the business like they do. Excellent breakfast, free afternoon snacks, free cookies and ice cream in the evening. Free cinema with free popcorn. Free welcome drink. Excellent rooms. The only thing they can improve is to give some small sweet for honeymooners but the rest is 10/10 I'll definitely repeat of I come back to Penang.

It was the cleanest and coolest hotel that I have checked in in malaysia. Satff are friendly and breakfast was nice. Very nice view of the city in the roof top bar which offers free drinks between 17:30 to 19:30 and movie snacks around 20:30.

I couldn't in any way really fault this hotel. The Staff are very friendly and make the extra effort. This is not even including the many perks included in the price most of which are mentioned in other posts. Also very clean and well organised. A lady just checked in sharing the lift with me was amazed. She said with all that's included I feel I have walked into a 5 star hotel.

The best thing about our stay, was the personal service we received from staff. From the porters, hskp and the front desk crew not forgetting Rita the super friendly manager. We arrived here and was warmly greeted with a drink and efficient checking in process. We were shown to our rooms. Rooms are spacious, clean & well maintained and lots of additional toiletries. We booked for two queen size bedded deluxe room.
The buffet breakfast in the restaurant was amazing, th…ere was just everything you could imagine for all tastes, all laid out beautifully amongst various arrangements. During the stay the room even includes breakfast /afternoon tea / evening cocktails and movie night (totally love it) Staff are all outstanding and friendly. This my 1st trip to penang and I love this hotel and was a great start. Very good location, near to famous food Street/ shopping mall is only 5mins via walking. Urber very reasonably priced to attractions — RM4 onward and if require vehicle booking for tours to temple / Hill e. G hotel is able to arrange at reasonable price.
Would definitely stay again if in penang.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel for travelers visiting George town. Excellent location. There breakfast was very satisfying from fruits to good selection of breads with spreads. And there staff made me feeling at home. Very nice and welcoming. I hope you could visit it someday :)

Great service, clean and comfortable rooms. Small, but it doesn't matter as you can head up to their lovely rooftop. Happy hour with free wine on the rooftop. Movie up there afterwards. Very comfortable.

My 3-night stay there was another great part of the vacation. The receptionist was friendly, the room was just nice for the budget. It will be great if the hairdryer is provided. Oh, and they had all kind of board games that you can play at any section within the premise. Overall, this place deserves 5-star ratings.

This is by far the best boutique hotel I've been to in Malaysia. The staff members are very efficient and very attentive to your needs. Downside is just the limited parking space bit overall it was a very pleasant stay. I would definitely come back again whenever I'm in Penang for sure.

George city the best of the strongest boutique hotel, very reluctant to publish, I stay here 5 days, Super satisfied.

Absolutely amazing! Loved every minute, so good it's tough to convince yourself to go outside. Very clean and comfortable rooms, hotel facilities and services are second to none, staff are very friendly, polite and eager to help. I will definitely stay here again. Location is excellent. Busy local restaurants can be found nearby. It's close to COMTAR. Even a festival took place while in my stay (2016-07-07) just around this place. And staffs were helpful.

This place is relatively new and has good dorms with A/C and 2 cheaper dorms which are not listed as rooms for 17 malaysian ringgit when I was there. They have a TV, Wi-Fi and a kitchen area for use. It has a great location just a block or two away from the main tourist hub of George Town. It is also close to the mall.

Nice and convenient area within 5 min walking distance to Kimberley St. And Komtar. Very clean facilities and professional but friendly staff. Better overall quality for a lower price than similar hotels in the northern part of old town.

Stay in this hotel with family for only one night, this hotel overall is ok if you don't demand much, its located in town area, 5 minutes walk to komtar bus terminal.
