Bedroom facilities not really in good order, breakfast was lousy, everyday is the same. price consider reasonable, clean n location is good.

Easy to find street food nd near to station bus nd mall. Staff friendly nd hotel clean. Problem only Wi-Fi hotel very bad.

My fav place to stay in penang… superb rooftop and rooms. Their staff are so helpful and friendly. Im so in love this place… easy excess to transportation and walking dstnce to get delicious local foods… I love this place. Highly recomended… it's cheap and their breakfst are boost up ur morning…

The room is not spacious. We ordered a family room and got bitten by bed bugs. We informed the male receptionist (with glasses) but he insisted not to change our rooms which is luckily we only stayed for two nights. The good point is they provide free breakfast.

Great location. Komtar bus station and street-food nearby (7pm). Friendly staff helping me dealing with the airport transportation and change some coins to take the bus (myr 1.40-2.00) Great breakfast and very clean. Comfortable for solo travelers.

Great location, serve breakfast and coffee break in the afternoon, AC and TV work well, clean room, clean bathroom, Wi-Fi works well, although sometimes on and off but good overall. Really close to the evening crowd place. I recommend to stay in here.

Loved staying here. The room was lovely and clean. It had a shower with hot water and a TV and a/c. There was a safe available in the room as well. The hotel offered free beverages and snacks from 3-7pm. It's a good location and just a small walk to restaurants and bars. Bed was very comfortable and staff was nice.

Excellent location in and amongst the buzzy part of penang — right next to the mall, atm, transport centre and 2 minutes walk from chulia Street for night life. Many local eateries on the doorstep! Free wi fi is available and the breakfast is superb — roti canai and other dishes available. Afternoon tea and biscuits is also available from mid afternoon until early evening… Which is a great touch! The room I stayed in was small and had no natural light, but being in penang… Therss little point staying in your room for very long… the bed was firm and comfortable. Great value for money here!

Good for locals only or backpackers on a budget. Rooms look like from a Bangkok jail but with aircon. Not practical rooms.

This is a nice place to stay if you want to stay on george town near to Komtar, at the night just go out from this hotel and you will find many street food on Lebuh Kimberly.

I was check in here last night. So let's talk about pros n con. Pros 1. Easy to find 2. Friendly staff (very helpful) 3. I like garden at rooftop u should go there. 4. Cheep n good value. Con 1. Plug in room loose 2. Amenities like toothbrush dont have (if staff has read this please put at least toothbrush n past) 3. Shampoo n bathgel same dont know they use 3. In 1 or not but I will not use at my head again. 4. Cannot eat in hotel room as per staff here. 5. No kettel but u can get dispenser at lobby. Over all it okey la if u want to find cheap hotel with ur family for sleep. But if u want to stay in room for a long time, I not suggest u booked this hotel.

Its location is good and feeling safe for tourist zone. The rooftop area is very good, however, the reception should inform her guest when they have already checked-in Poor Wi-Fi in which connection always lost every 3-5 minute. It is useless to connect to hotel Wi-Fi. The room did not provide refridgerator within the room. The shared refridgerator is provided in front of the lobby on the first floor (so you have to walk for ypur drink or it is not garuntee that your stuff will not be picked by others)

We booked this hotel and paid online after seeing fairly good reviews. When we arrived we were told there were additional taxes and fees and a 50 ringgit deposit we had to pay, which was mentioned nowhere during the booking. The front desk didn't seem to care at all and looked at us like we were crazy for questioning it. Once we got to our room, we noticed our door handle was quite loose and the a/c wasn't working. Then we noticed the random damage on the walls and the extremely weird full water bottles where the seals have all been cracked. I'm not particularly keen on drinking from refilled bottles so we bought new ones at the corner store. There is little to no sound dampening out to the hall and other rooms so bring ear plugs just in case. Tiny rooms with no windows but that's not uncommon. The location is nice but that is about all I've got to say about this place. Not the worst but definitely not deserving of the high marks I've seen.

The room where I stayed was a twin bed without windows included private bathroom with hot water, air-condition and TV but no frigde. (2, 200+ THB/3nights)
It was nearby Komtar, so very easy to go there on walk.
In the same alley of hotel also got a small food area. Awesome!

Have been staying in this hotel for 4 nights and here are some feedback on the hotel Apollo Inn Penang~ Jalan Sungai Ujong 1. Location very strategic location nearby Komtar, local famous food stalls and places of interest within walking distance … 2. Room rate very reasonable and affordable price, 4 nights cost RM 410 including buffet breakfast 3. Room size little bit small without window, anyway it is just nice for me and my hubby 4. Cleanliness very clean inside the room as well as the bathroom 5. Comfortable level the bed is very comfortable, bathroom is very spacious, air cond is very cold 6. Facilities in the room served with mineral water, TV, safety box, hanger, towels, water heater, body cleanser, shampoo and hand cleanser 7. Wi-Fi not sure because me and my hubby are using our mobile data instead of the free internet provided, but it seems most of the tourists have a bad experience with the Wi-Fi 8. Breakfast variety of delicious food served from 8am to 10am 9. Very nice Rooftop garden is available to view the night scene of Komtar 10. Service of the staff either the morning shift or night shift staff are not really friendly or helpful, didn't smile at all but surprisingly one of the bangla staff is very friendly and at least he smile even though he just passed us the mineral water.

Modern and cleaning room. Good deck view but room wall can't protect noise from outside.

Cheap price. Clean room. They even offer twice snack a day. New and good design. I like the washrom design. Simple clean minimalistic. Near to link bike, bus station and hawker center.

Small room but consider cozy for overnight. Walking distance to penang road & kimberley street. If you're driving, try your luck to get parking and must remember to put parking coupon.

The room was small but comfortable, since we only used the room for rest & sleep only. They provide breakfast which quiet taste good especially the fried rice. Been staying here more than 4 times. This is my fave place to stay in Penang & never went to other hotels…

The place is clean. Air conditioning works just fine. The area is near tourist attractions. Can hunt for food anytime. There's a 24hour mart located around the area. However, the light in the room is very dim. The room's sound proof is very weak.

Family room for 1 night Breakfast okay, spacious room, hv a nice view rooftop, the bed is okay. But, the Wi-Fi slow, can't parking, and the staff unfriendly.

We loved this hotel for its excellent location and for its cleaniness. The CAT station is about 3-4 minutes walk, Prangin Mall and 1st Avenue Mall and the Komtar Bus Terminal at 5 mins walk. We stayed for 4 nights enough to visit most of Georgetown and yes, the room is small, maybe too small for some people but we were out most of the time so it was not that of a big deal. The complementary (free) breakfast is decent, definitely not great. Anyway, we had breakfast only once because we preferred the malay specific foods from the streets of Georgetown.

I love this place have stayed … best to stay, cozy Warmth environment and cleaned. Will come back again. Well recommeded.

No one knows the location of this building. You have to find the three shopingmall (1st Avenue, Prangin. ) then this hotel is in the across the road the shoping mall. Remember the road sangai ujong.

The rooms are clean and comfy, also with a reasonable price. The hotel is strategically located in the heart of Penang. There is a mall nearby, a lot of good foods around in the morning and also in the evening. The Heritage area is just 15 mins walking distance from the hotel. It is basically near to everything you need! The hotel staffs are friendly and very helpful. Totally worth every penny spend on this hotel. Will definitely stay here again!
