Service was impeccable. The whole resort has a very rustic charm. With its wooden chalets. The resort is a eco-friendly, a retreat from technology and city life so no TV, spotty internet (we were warned of this) and is secluded. Corals can be seen right on the beach itself and to top if off, the food is awesome! Hats off to Patrick and the team at Melina.

Very nice place and privacy, nice place for relaxing and those are looking the place for honey moon and wedding anniversary I recommended Melina Beach Resort.

One of the best island resorts in Malaysia that I've been too. Patrick and Lydia are really great host. Lisa and Sam were 2 very friendly, helpful and informative staffs. The resort is baby and children friendly. Accommodation were great. Food served were excellent. Thanks to Chef Ani. My children does not want to leave! They love the resort so much! I guarantee I'll be coming back again with my family and I recommended you guys to book your room packages through the resort itself rather than other agents or online booking! It'll be worth it! It is simply unbelievable with what kind of measure is measured. We had already booked the MBR from 31.08.20 in June 2019 and had to pay a 50% deposit. After it was already clear in April 2020 that tourists would not be allowed to enter Malaysia until at least 31.08. Due to the logdown we asked to cancel the trip and return the deposit. After there was no reaction for a long time and I had to write to the MBR again, we were informed on 12.07.20 that the amount of 3 nights will be deducted from the deposit as a cancellation fee and that the refund is already initiated for the following working day. Twice now I have already asked where the money is and I am always put off. Then even such a nice award (Travelers´ Whoice Winner) is of no use if the guests are scared away like this. What I also cannot understand is the fact that we are punished for it, behave correctly and ask if we get our money back, in the months of June and July it was also possible. Whoever wants to survive after Corona should behave more customer-friendly.

Wonderful place in a beautiful surrounding. Also a very supportive and lovely staff.

Great place to spend quality time with our loved ones especially without the internet, TV and other luxurious distractions! Would love to be back again!

We had an amazing 5 days stay at Melina. Tq Lyza and Team for making our stay a memorable one. The kids had a wonderful time at the beach and exploring the jungle treks. We will definitely be back!

My stay at Melina was amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They food! Wow! They have an Italian chef and he is wonderful! They also offer some local dishes that are very tasty. Overall, I would say I will be back!

I was travelling with a big group to Melina and I had specific dietary requirements and brought my own fish to the island from a 10 hour journey. Chef Etzio took 4 of my fish and made them into the best fish meals I've ever tasted in my life. The taste was extraordinary and equivalent of a Michelin star chef standards, probably better as it was food with soul. I have been spoiled from a silky, delicately pan fried sea bass with cherry tomatoes to torn up herbs+ lemon sea bass. Thank you Chef Etzio and I wish you (and your team) every success with your culinary pursuits.

From the pristine private beach facing our cottage amidst the jungle to the amazing coral exploration and snorkelling experience, from the delicious food to the hospitality of the entire staff, I would recommend Melina Beach Resort as a must stay to anyone who visits Tioman. Our kids, their grandparents, and we as a couple loved every moment of our stay here.

Small piece of paradise, but expensive and for that price still simple. The food is OK. But you are bound to the restaurant and again the prices are very high. I got annoyed when you have your dinner included and are expected to pay extra for your desert. Very Friendly staff.

This holiday cottages are amazing it has own special beach and owner know his job very well. Pet friendly place if you can bring your pet with special yacht or boat. In the ferry they dont let you to carry your pet. Food was okey, we ate breakfast, lunch and 1 time dinner. They can take you from there for scuba and snorkeling. Tioman island is allready magical and if you stay Melina it makes like a dream come true. Only problem was very very big size of ants can coming to your room (they dont bite you but still scary for city folks) cause of cottages not isolated from the nature some why it makes Melina special. Very big restaurant and game are, library, monkeys behind the place. In 20 minutes can reach the village and eat original chinese — Malay delicios food around there. Its perfect for peaceful holiday and scuba. If you are looking for party and bars everywhere its not the right place.

It is a beautiful resort which is reached by a small ship. The private beach is wunderful and cleaned every day. It is woth mentioning that you can watch the sunset while looking at the sea. The breakfast and dinner is fine — the next village is 30 minutes away, I recommend booking half-board. The only con is that the beds in my room were pretty hard.

Melina Beach Resort is a unique place in Tioman! We stayed 3 days and we absolutely loved it! Our room was just by the beach and it was amazing to open the door of your room and enjoy their awesome private beach. It is surrounded by Jungle and the beach has a beautiful coral reef just in front of it to spend hours exploring it. The private beach is amazing and quite relaxed. The rooms are Cozy and well equipped. The food is great! And the staff is very friendly and helpful you will feel like home. I could not ask for something better.

Quite expensive compared to other resorts on the island, but still paradise. A little unhappy that only very few trips were offered (expected more from what the website offered)

This is a great resort in Tioman Island if you want a quiet experience with a private beach. There are no neighbouring resorts and the nearest village is about 20-minute walk away. I don't think the resort is accessible by car or even motorbike. Only boats. The water at the beach is clear and is a great snorkeling area with coral reefs, and sea creatures to discover. They even have underwater markings for you to go to from one checkpoint to another. Check the front desk for snorkeling, scuba, sightseeing activities. Staffs are friendly and always helpful. Snorkeling gear is complimentary. When you book for this resort, make sure you make check-in arrangement with the resort. The Tioman ferry stops at three jetties at Tioman namely Genting, Paya and Tekek. You need to get off at Paya Jetty and the staff from Melina will come and get you by speed boat. Some comments though, the dishes prepared by the kitchen are not my family's liking. This is especially for the local dishes, where they don't taste local at all. I am Malaysian by the way. Apart from that, everything else is great.

Small luxurious resort with very friendly and helpful staff, in a quiet and private location with a beautiful beach and snorkeling area, serving delicious food (best meals of our trip in Malaysia). It is offering a good choice of day trips and activities and a convenient transportation service by speed boat around Tioman Island. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated with a balcony overlooking the sea (we stayed at a beachfront chalet). We have had a wonderful stay here for 4 days and couldn't expect better, everything was perfect.

Melina Beach is the best place on Tioman island! The staff is amazing… all so friendly, helpfull and fun to be around. Melina is a quite little place. It almost feels you are on a deserted island. Perfect getaway for a romantic journey. For me a special place as I got engaged there with my love!

Lovely place to stay relaxed, you have all you need. Food is normal but enough and a little bit dirty arround.

Excellent place to meet nature. Each and every thing is touched with nature from room keys to rest room interior. Great place for nature lovers.
