38PC Boutique Hotel

We stayed at 39PC for 2 nights and the room was sparkling clean, the whole hotel and room is so clean! Every staff was attentive and delivered great service. Location was great, there are plenty of good food and cafe nearby, you can just walk.
If you're in Alor Star, this hotel is a must stay.

A refurbishment and extension to the existing old pre-war shop house, converting into a unique and intimate boutique hotel. Hardly can find this type of hotel setting in Alor Setar.
The premises only have 5 rooms, we stayed at the Executive King Room on the ground floor. The bedroom size is comfortable and split to 3 parts, i. E. Main bedroom, bath with dressing/changing and big balcony open to the back lane garden which practically served it's purpose.
The owner of the hotel is really put a lot of heart and effort to detailed the interior of the hotel from the floor, wall, ceiling, door, bed, light fittings and etc to create an Intimate and homely ambient to the guest while preserving the old era of pre war shop house.
The premises also facilitated with a small pool at the rooftop. They also have reserved carpark for guest.
It is highly recommended and we will come back.

This place has no parking space, no kettle in the room and low water pressure shower. The Hot Shower is not hot at all.

Good boutique hotel in a small town.
Located in Chinatown where there are cafe, bar and eateries around.
Only two reserved car parks available but there are also many car parks along the street if you don’t mind walking for 3-5 mins along the street.
Friendly receptionist that always make me feel like home.
Clean and spacious room, the only not so good point is the weak water pressure and sometimes water can be cold in 6-7am morning, I guess the hotel is usurping solar system for the water heater.

I've stayed at room 3811 (Junior King Suite) for 2 nights. I love the room — there is a King-sized bed and 2 flat screen TVs. The toilet is cozy and there is a door in the toilet that leads to the balcony — you can see a small street from there. Checking in and out was simple. There is a common pantry for you to make your hot drinks. Your room has a small electric kettle and a mini fridge with 2 bottles of drinking water + 2 cans of soft drinks (complimentary). The location is in Kedah's China town near the China town jetty — you have to walk around 30m to see the river. I'm really happy staying there and will come back again. My only issue: the mobile TV box is not working well — the app closes unexpectedly every time. Wi-Fi connection was stable though.

Unexpected nice environment and clean too. The down side will be the wooden flooring could be very noisy while walking in the room.

Great service and facilities. The staff are very friendly, rooms were clean. Location is okay, there seems to be some good cafes around the corner but many shops seemed to be shut for good. About a 30 min to the largest mall in the city.

Definitely will rent the same for next trip. Hotel environment was chill and you can feel that they putting effort to arrange a clean yet authentic place.

When I first arrived, I was surprised by the hotel's exterior, which resembled an old Chinese medicine shop. However, the interior of the room had a pleasant surprise — it had a modern design and was quite nice. It seemed like they deliberately wanted to maintain the old rustic design in the lobby. The room's interior felt more like that of a 4-star hotel, with a comfortable bed and a modern-looking toilet. The toilet's door was a curtain, which might be part of the 'modern design' they were going for.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and even offered to take us on a tour of the surrounding shops. The hotel's location was superb, with everything within a 7 km radius.
I came with my mother, and the lack of an elevator made it a bit inconvenient for her. Additionally, the cafe/bar outside was a bit noisy, which might not be ideal for those seeking a quiet environment. However, if you are a couple or traveling with friends, I would highly recommend this place.

Tastefully designed boutique hotel in city center. Great location and walking distance to most of local attractions. Thumbs up!

It's lovely place to stay and amazingly beautiful restoration work done on it. This used to be my wife's family home and we got married here in 2009.

It was a really great experience. I love the deco. So many beautiful corner were you can take a pictures. Maybe I can repeat here again!
