The sanitary condition of the room is very bad, the drawers still have a pile of food paper bags left by the people before. I ordered domino pizza on 22/4 but it was not given to the hungry person in isolation. I also said that I can’t help even after 6 o’clock without my things. Food delivery, super poor service from front desk staff.

The room and facility are old. The services and food are not up to 4 star. The food order menu shown the prices are expensive compared to other hotels The food portion is small and request adding rice was rejected. Wifi unstable and no TV program like HBO. This is not 4 star hotel.
This is one of the worst hotels for quaratine facilty.

What a stupid hotel! Vegetarian table but serving non-vegetarian food! Calling waiter to get a spoon also very hard. Super bad experience here! Room also very old and aircon is not cold, is this so called a 4-star hotel?

Not recommended. Dirty toilet, towel, pillow. Poor facilities in the room. No hair dryer in the room, when request for hair dryer they don't provide/have extra dryer. Environment not family friendly.

Water view, nice connecting rooms.

Dirty room. Lots of hair on the floor and carpet. Smelly room due to humidity and poor ventilation. Inconvenient parking location, take me 15-20mins to get out from the building. Ineffective practice to access the lift, need to use the access card which is sometimes not function properly. Slow service, receptionists are not friendly.

Nice view and helpful hotel staff.

The hotel is haunted, I was given a room at level 14 room no 1432, it was haunted the lights switched off and on by itself, and after me checking with the staffs they said the level was shut down for a year plus and many guest complained, they us to another room, that room was not vacuumed and the bedsheet had blood staines! It was horrible, we have to wait for an hour for the service. I will upload the pictures in a while.

3 tables and only one person at the reception. She act like doesnt seen to be bothered as well. All the best to me as this seems to be just the begining of my 3 days stays here. I hope I wouldnt be changing my hotel in the middle.

Bad service, I booked and paid for suite room but when check in they are trying to push deluxe room.

The hotel has seen better days. Let down by poor maintenance, the carpet smells and the bathtub had stains. Can only give 2 star rating. Sorry.

1st its a 4 star hotel, but it no act like 4 star hotel. Im very disappointed. Parking are to far from hotel. The buildings are old and rundown, big but rooms are too smelly and smoking everywhere. Not suitable for family with old folks.
Requested for non-smoking level thus feel like are in smoking area zone. Seen many people keep smoking and loytering around the corridor area sitting drinking and puffing their cigarettes away. secondly request to have rooms side by side since …I book for 2 rooms but we were given rooms far apart from requested. Hence neighboring room was too noisy during the night. it's never going be a stay in this hotel again.

We booked online but had to wait one hrs for our family room. The webside looks nice but the bed room is medium size. The toliet is old already. It is not much shop for meals too.

The stars should be derated. We book two rooms on the 7th of September 2018 and it was a disappointment for me. I would expect 4 star hotel to be really 4 star. Instead room 1313 hot water shower was not working properly, low water pressure. Air conditioning cannot be regulated, some people smoke in elevator. Its a budget hotel.

Horrible and never improved. Had no choice but to come in here. Taps are noisy air con is not cool water is yellowish. Tv channels are hopeless and took us an hour just to check in! Asked for tea and creamer took 4hrs to send in. Breakfast in a hawker centre would have been so much better. Legit if we had a choice we would rather go to Belllo in town area than to check in here.

The hotel is attached to shopping mall which are mostly duty free items. Chocolates, alcohol and cigarettes. The ferry terminal to go to batam is located on the second floor. Hotel stayed was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and lunch buffet was ok.

Overall condition is very good for a matured building. Parkings are ample although we were there for a conference. Room condition is perfect. Breakfast is the usual stuff, but satisfying. Enough choice. If you are thinking to do some shopping at the attached mall, then you are going to be disappointed. Hawker food are abundant just about walking distance away. And you can catch ferry to Batam, Indonesia. Night life is good with good pubs.

A great and safe place to stay. Friendly and professional staffs. Bars, clubs just a walk away. Ferry terminal to Batam just across the road. Best part its a duty-free zone.

We intentionally booked the WATERFRONT BREWFEST rooms as each room were given a beer tower. We are beer drinkers and we thought it was a good deal as we paid slightly more for the rooms for additional tower of beer. However, we went through some very bad experience as we were not treated well by your staff when we went to the place to claim out beer. Firstly, the beer coupons came late as we had waited for almost two hours for them. Then when we went to the pub or club, we were told that we need to be in covered shoes and long pants. This was not mentioned in the booking web site and payment and at the lobby when we check-in. So we were turn away and we demanded to see the manager then we were told to go to the open area where we will be served. Then when we reached the level 6 open area, again we were told to go to the pub/club to claim our beer as we are not supposed to claim the coupons there. We ended up like beggars looking for free beers. This was how we felt. Eventually the waitress felt she was too much and she went upstairs to confirm that the pub/club manager asked us to go to level 6 to claim our beer. Then, we were told there are no tower and we will be served two jug of beer for one tower. The beer were served to us more than 20 mins later, there were only another table occupied. In the end, we finished the two jug and we left without claiming the second room beer tower coupon.

Everything was great, had a enjoyable stay although its just one night. Fantastic Room view. The only thing that should improve is the portion of food for room service, ordered the Herb Crusted grill chicken and the size of the portion is equivalent to appetizer size. Beside that Definately would stay here again if ever have a chance.

Hotel is at a night life spot. Bar and clubs are right below the hotel. It's a duty free zone so the alcohol and ciggs are cheap. Room and breakfast are average at best. Nothing great.

Duty free for Cigarette, beers and wines. Drink in the area is duty free, One Carlsberg 320ml is RM3.90! The cheapest beers you could find in Johor, or probably Malaysia! But if you bought a lot and bring outside from the complex, you may get taxed at the custom nearby. Vincent Tan bought the it and changed the name to Berjaya WaterFront. There are several new restaurants and shops, the whole level 2 is for IT, lots computers and handphone shops moved to here. It will be great new look! The building with newly painted, and look absolutely awesome! Starbucks, Kenny Rogers, 7-Eleven, … a lot more new shops you can find here! Jom, let's go!

The place is huge and classy you will feel like in a cruise ship, but the room is poor, mold inside the bath tub, the plumbing is too noisy if your neibour shower at night you will defenetly hear the plumbing knocking the wall. The car park is relly far… your kids need to use their stroller.

Location: Neat by lots of resturant, bar and drink. Room: clean but tidy.

Parking very far from the lift to hotel room. Feeling insecure when have to walk from lift to room late at night. TV channel not clear but good part is every room has handy phone for customers to use. Anyhow, breakfast and room is good.

The parking area is inconvenient for family with kids. Had to walk so far to reach lobby and room (not to forget had to take 2 different lifts). The hotel also is full of carpets, which unfortunately my family had quite bad allergies to it. I wont suggest for someone with asthma or allergy rhinitis. I would suggest the hotel management to upgrade/change many of its old equipments. I enjoy the breakfast though. Hats off for the cheffs!

The Berjaya Waterfront is pretty big hotel. But the room are not maintained. You might see bed bugs and hotel reception will not provide you alternate room. Even if the hotel has many rooms they might not entertain you. I didn’t had major problems but my Friend and family had to face the problem. Probably it might be due to Long weekend. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. There is duty free shopping below the hotel. Outside you can visit 4 bars / Pubs and local food option as well. JB City Square Mall is 15 mins by taxi.

2 lady singer are very bad. They were shouting the whole night. Really suffering … But those waiters are fantastic! Loves their good service.

Satisfactory stay for 2 nights. The room was pleasant even though the toilet looked a little rundown. Breakfast was great with a lot to choose from. Overall a good stay in Berjaya.

1. Hotel parking is at the highest three level. The turning radius is somewhat tight but bearable. 2.6C is the recommended level to park since 6B does not connect to the hotel staircase, and 6A will make you need to walk more steps. 3. Stairs causing inconvenience to carry luggage. 4. The way newcomers take to the hotel is long. After reaching inside the hotel facility just go straight and then turn right. Take the lift to level one and you will see the reception counter. 5. No extra pillows or blankets on the closets (like every other hotel) so must call reception. 6. Gym is only for 17 year olds and above. Preferably restrict to 15 years old and above. 7. Windows, sockets and carpets can be dirty and broken. 8. The building design inside is like Marina Bay Sands, or other 5 star hotels around MBS. 9. They have a screen projector which may show football matches and other sport events from Fox Sports Asia. 10. The Nasi at Salt n Pepper is absolutely good. Must try 11. The ZON shops are cheaper than 7/11. Will update soon.

Suitable for night entertainment, travel by ferry travellers.

It was a terrible experience staying in this hotel. The room: 1. It generally gave a very haunted aura. The bathtub has blood stains on it. We called for room service but no one came to clean. 2. The lights are very dim; bedsheets are not clean; windows are dirty with carved name on it. It gives a very odd and creepy feel. 3. When we entered the room, there's a very strong cigarette smell although we asked for a non-smoking room. The parking: 1. When we reached the hotel from the parking lot, there is an extremely long walk with no one taking our laugage nor directing us to the hotel lobby. 2. Also, not recommended for people with laugage, as there are stairs on the way to the hotel. The hotel: 1. There are many gangster-looking people and prostitute in the lobby as well as the hotel. Overall experience for the stay is really terrible and suspicious. Highly NOT recommended!

Best hotel around JB, as I will come back to stay even more. As the service is quite good but not up to my expectation. But can be improve. Thanks & Regards.

We booked 2 nights through Agoda for CNY Feb 16 to 18 knowing that the hotel have swimming pool and spa which are the main reason why we chooses to stay at this hotel. So glad that when booking time we can request for early check in. We arrived at the hotel before 10am and did the registration as the front lady said "check in is after 3pm maam" so then we walked to neighbourhood for breakfast and went back to hotel just before 12noon. We went up to see the pool as we thought while waiting the room to be available we can dip in at the pool but sadly it is closed and only the kids pool open. We then went to see the Spa also closed. Game room? Only open at 4pm. Went to reception tried if rooms available and the front desk again says "check in after 3pm maam"… we then decided to cancel the booking and asked for the front desk but they say "you book with Agoda so you have to call Agoda yourself our job here is only to pass you the key".! … Note that all the sockets around the recep not working and the carpark, damn it is so far and very inconvenient. Totally nightmare and will never recommend or consider this hotel.!

It was a horrible experience staying at this hotel. It may have secured its 4-star rating back in its glory days, but I’d rather stay at any other hotels in JB then staying here. What we didn’t like: — Filthy toilet with flickering lights and leaking taps — We had 3 people staying but only 1 set of toiletries was given. Took us 3 calls to get them to send the right amount over. — Very noisy aircon that takes aeons to cool the room — Room with the sea view is great, if only you can see through the dirt on your windows. — Also, if your room’s facing the sea, be prepared for a bad night’s sleep cause the pub downstairs will not close until 3am. (We were on the 13th floor but we could still hear everything — complained to the reception only to be told that they have ‘no control’ over it. ) — If you’re driving, you can only park your car on Level 6 at the back of the building which is very empty and deserted. We were traveling in a group of 3 and were still very uncomfortable, so solo travelers please be wary. Connecting lifts were dingy and felt as if they were gonna break down anytime soon. Absolutely disgusting. Bear in mind that we booked Berjaya under the impression that it is a 5-star hotel. Had we booked a 2 or 3 star hotel, we would’ve lowered our expectations. But honestly, this hotel is not even up to a 2-star standard. If you’re looking for a disaster stay, Berjaya Waterfront Hotel is the place for you.

I booked the Valentines Day Dinner with Room promotion. I met up with Mr Aliff at Salt N Pepper, he was truly hospitable. From picking up the best spot to sit with our 3 year old daughter to accompanying me to the hotel reception to ensure the my room booking went well. Aliff was the best host I could hope for. On Valentines day, check in went well and we met Aliff at the well decorated entry of Salt N Pepper, he greeted us cheerfully and showed us to our beautifully prepared table. Every serving of the 5 course dinner was creatively decorated and the chef, Mr Jamal, personally visited our table to send his greetings and made a complimentary dish for our daughter. Mr Firdaus was also very attentive to our needs during the meal, we never had to search for anyone to ask anything at all as he constantly made sure everything was perfect. This was a truly wonderful dinner and it was served why the most amazing people I could hope for. They ensured that our Valentines Day Experience was perfect.

I was staying there for 3 nights. What I like: First, I like the breakfast as varieties of choice. Second, I like the sea view from the room. Third, there is a duty-free shopping mall on next door which is very convenient. But bear in mind, there is nothing much to shop there just liquors, beers and chocolates. What disappointed me: I was very disappointed with the hotel as it does not meet the 4 stars standard; it is a very run down hotel. First, the direction to hotel car park is not clear and is very far, not advisable for solo female driver. The location of the hotel is quite far from town and traffic could be bad at night because many cars will go in and out as there are few night clubs there. Second, I chose this hotel as it is with the swimming pool facility. But during my staying period, the pool is under maintenance and no notice was given. It really disappointed me. Third, when I entered the room, the toilet is really disgusted me. The bathtub is so stinky, the furniture are old and carpet are so dirty. There are even ants running on the table. In addition, it’s very troublesome as every time we drive out from the hotel, we need to pass through the custom clearance. This hotel is not suitable for family as most of the places at the hotel are full of cigarettes smell.

Good security as you need access card for the lift to guest rooms. However the rooms need some makeover as the furniture and fittings are dated. High noise level from the partying.

Good location. Outdoor pool was under construction. Breakfast not much choice. Bathroom not clean and stain in the mug and glasses. Not suitable for family trip.

Above all if compare to the rate they gave… I consider its okay for the food are good… Ambience are good (sea view) … The room are spacious…

I have booked the suite room and I notice its not a present hotel to stay in. 1. The parking. All guest have to park at the highest level of the carpark (6A, 6B, 6C) which is very inconvenience for me as I need to travel out of the hotel often. 2. The steps. All guest have to carry their belongings and climb up the narrow stairs to get to the lift lobby and also be extra careful of the low ceiling. No hotel staff are there to offer any help at this point. … 3. The main lobby. The main lobby is at the other end of the building which is about 100m away and its located at the first level. Be sure to ask around where is the entrance to the lobby because you will miss it easily. I dont might walking 100m but not with the load im carrying after the long travel… 4. Parking ticket. Yes the parking is free but there is a catch… you will need to exchange your parking ticket for a conpremtry ticket everytime you exit the hotel. 5. Wifi. Yes its free but the signal is very weak, I cant watch my fav video. 6. Dirty room and unpresent interior. The first few step as I enter the room I step on something sticky, I take a closer look and I realise I stepped on a chewing gum… and I also notice there are a few black patch on the carpet as well, the bowl have red stain on it. The TV isnt working properly. The ceiling is cracked and some part of the wall paper came off. I feel like im staying in a motel. I need to wear my shoes and walking around. 6. Club room.

Definitely not for family with young kids. I was really terrified of the aisle outside each room that surround the middle concourse, with open balcony that's just waist-high. It's a long way down. Latch on to your kids and never let them out of the room alone.

I was quite disappointed with this place to be honest. When we first got there it was the biggest building in the whole area, it looked like a palace compared to the rest of the buildings around it. It was a massive Hotel and we had a wedding event going on there which was nice as in the food and the hall itself. However, the hotel is really outdated it needs a MAJOR revamp. Our room looked like an old folks home, both the rooms looked like it was calling out for help ha. For how they make the hotel sound like it's the best hotel going it really was far from it.

Love the sea view, cleanliness of the room is still OK (considering toilet was clean, corridor walkaway carpet little foul smell). Customer service was fine and helpful, Specially Ms Natasha, who get for us King Size bed as I came with my husband. Considering other budget hotels I stayed at in Malaysia as Berjaya staff, this hotel is fine, has a nice view, customer service must improve, and cleanliness hopefully can be improved too. Complimentary breakfast at Salt 'n Pepper was satisfactory.

Very dirty and run down. And the nice Men SPA is not part of the hotel's package. The air conditioning fails and the staff are limited in their English conversation. The bath tub is clogged. There are ants. The doors to the rooms are not functioning well. The shopping area has not air condition. The staff are slow. The rooms are very dirty and smelly. The bath tub stopped cannot be open. Overall it's a very bad experience.

Sorry but I think the hotel is not good as its name. All the facilities is very old and not well maintained, lot of shop outlet (inside free trade zone) is either closed or no longer operated, including their big hypermarket. There are lot of parking available though (hotel parking at level 6) but you need to walk very far to the elevator located at the other end of building. When we enter our room, the room smell very bad. Yes I understand the hotel is old (and everything is dusty), but please at least put some fragrance. The only good thing is the breakfast, lot of choice and they serve the food very well. I like it.

Awesome place. Have lots of foods at the roadside, The hotel viewing facing the beach is so beautiful. Duty free shops. Staff are very friendly and informative. There are few pub and clubs downstairs to chill out. Indoor Activities for family and children. I simply love the place.

Overall Experience is good. But the small suggestion is, during check-in receptionist requesting the guest credit card saying for just verification purpose. In fact, they are blocking 600 RM from the credit card which guest was not aware of it. In my case after 3 days of my checkout when I log in to my online account a transaction of 600 RM appeared with the date of my check-in. Then I called to Hotel staff they kindly explained me the process about refund which ay take 7 working days. I agree and I have no complaints about blocking limit on my card but if the same process would have been communicated earlier during my check-in or checkout time. It would be more perfect for me. Apart from this. Overall my stay was Excellent. The staff is polite and they have taken care guest well.

Good for big company events or family functions… alot of night entertainment nearby with just walking distance.

Formerly known as Zon, the hotel is located within one of few duty free zones in Malaysia. The hotel is old, room quality is average and is in need of a renovation. The atrium is dark, and the air isn't good. The atrium has a cocktail bar and lounge. Live music is available in the evening.

Refrigerator not working card box spoild any thing bad.

Check in 2.00 pm until now room no air-con. Can't imagine how to sleep to night.

Lousy hotel services, why declared as five star hotel. The refrigerator spoilt and the door access card need to change three times.
