It has a quaint and rustic feel about it. Waking up to a gorgeous view of the majestic Mount Kinabalu, and drinking a piping hot coffee by the balcony on a chilly morning, is a wonderful way to start the day.

Absolutely worth it. The entry ticket is RM3 for Malaysians. Well maintained gardens, and a good place to look at history.

Really great to be here. If you want to know more, you should ask the worker. They really know the history of this place. Besides, the dream catchers are pretty. I wish they have black dream catchers.

Good place to learn about the tragic history. Nice gardens but some parts seem to need a bit of maintenance, but overall a good 30 min visit.

Suitable for history lover. Because we need to pay the entrance fee. But still got nice photo spot inside.

The war memorial was an amazing experience. For the first time saw a memorial for 3 different armies (Australian, British and fellow Sabahan heroes) That was so great to know so many sacrified in that jail. During our visit saw one fellow Australian paid respect for his family who passed away.

Beautiful gardens. There’s a souvenir shop and also a place where you can read all about the history of the place. If you’re lucky to find it, there’s many spots for nice ig photos.

Suggest go during celebration of memorial day, place usually has full flower blooming and nicely arrange. Small place for memorial of the death of soldiers during World world II, the infamous Sandakan Ranau death march. Not very well maintained, suggest the place to have.

A good place for pit stop. We stopped at this place for a rest and also let the kids learned about the Sandakan Death Marches. It was a nice experience but the place needs serious upgrade. The flowers are dying.

Beautiful gardens of POW memorial. Just need a little more extra maintenance especially to maintain the flowers. Other than that, OK to visit or do photo shoot.

Lest we forget. This is a must visit for any Australians in the area. The locals do a pretty good job keeping the memorial in good condition.

This is a must visit place when you're around this little tourist attraction town. It's quite a historical place honoring the war heroes who had fallen defending the nation during the world war 2. As a war memorial, it's surely touchy to discover that history do have so many to prove who we are actually at this present day.

Pathway mostly closed. The flowers are not taken care properly. No trash can provided along the way. Nothing change since 2014

Great place to remember the sandakan death marches. These place under construction. All the garden flowers looks awful and not well maintain.

This place is built as a memorial for Australian and British soldiers that perished during the march from Kundasang to Tawau. Its not a historic building per say but more of a shrine for the soldiers. The place hosts several garden types including British, Australian and Borneo garden. All are equally beautiful. Definitely a must stop if you visit Kundasang.

Like to travel and knowing some history that is not written in the text book? Come here, you will be shock! This place is well maintained! Cool place to take pictures and to spend time in kundasang! Other than the Desa Cattle, this place can offer a great view of the Mount Kinabalu! You should try the balcony, the view of kundasang is so fascinating!

Just a small park. Good for taking photos. Can get a nice view of the mounts and the small city from here. They charge a small amount as entrance fee.

If you want to know the history behind Kundasang, then this place is for you. Many old ruins are located here. It is alsoa great place to take a photograph as memories.

RM2/1 for mykad adult/child, rm10 for foreigners. Took a picture at the entrance which clearly has "Kundasang War Memorial" on it. You have to climb a bit to get to the top, where you get to see the ruins and there is a souvenir shop as well (quite pricey tbh). At the foot of the place, there are food stalls which sell variety of superb and cheap food!

You can see all the soldier name whom participate on dead walk and beautiful garden but all the pictures, certificates, history boards, news are not saved properly. Unlike, Sandakan war memorial is more organized.

A very well presented (voluntary) garden memorial with old photos, memorabilia and video. Worth a visit.

A garden dedicated to 2500 British and Australian armies dead during Ranau — Sandakan death march. Spend your time around 15 mins — 30 mins at the memorial looking at the garden and take a photo at the viewing point. Now they have a cafe and souvenir shop at the top. Watch a 20 mins documentary about the war memorial at RM 1 / person (min 20 person) RM 2 entrance fee for Malaysians.

Historical place. You need to hike a little bit… anyway, it is quiet and cozy here.

It was a beautiful place to go. Very historical. The sad part was that the area is getting old and has a lot of physical problems. Hopefully It could stand long enough. A highly recommended tourism area.

Lest We Forget*. A must-visit in Kundasang. Established in 1962, this was one of the first memorials to commemorate the brave Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan and during the infamous death marches to Ranau during World War II. There are 4 gardens-the Australian Garden, the English Garden, the Borneo Garden and the Contemplation Garden and Pool — to represent the different nationalities. Reached the top, is a beautiful view of Mount Kinabalu. We took many photos. Opening hours is 8:30am.

A great place to see the history of colonization in sabah. This place has evidence of warfare evidence.

If you're in Kundasang, do not skip over this place. It is one of the historical places in Malaysia that got the status from UNESCO as World Heritage Site. Ranau — Sandakan battle occurred during World War 2 and this memorial is dedicated specifically to those brave soldiers. You can relax around as there are few gardens in this place. You can even enjoy the scenery of Kundasang from this memorial.

One of tourist must visit historic place. Have very nice view plus the air are very fresh here. Once in while I would escape from city travel to here.

One of UNESCO World Heritage Site! A must-visit tourist attraction whenever you're in Kundasang! The entrance fee is only RM2/pax. There's four beautiful garden; AUSTRALIAN GARDEN, ENGLISH GARDEN, POOL AND CONTEMPLATION GARDEN and… opppsss I forgot the last one The POOL AND CONTEMPLATION GARDEN will bring you back to the era of Cleopatra or Ancient Egypt.

and they help us to arrange a taxi for my daughter at 6.30am to KK Airport.
very suitable with 2 rooms for my family with 4 kids. Kitchen also provided with full equipment and easily we can cooked for dinner and breakfast.
strategic location, nearby Dairy Farm, War Memorial, others point of interesting places and a town to by a groceries.
Hopefully we will come again.

Overnite here 28 Jan 2017… very strategic locations near to Kundasang Town & Desa Cattle, very2 helpfull & friendly staff Danny & Adele… please increase thier basic salary & consider thier overtime… why… bcoz they help us to go to Pekan to buy food for our family eventho late nite request… help to start the fire for bbq which bbq per pax Rm 30 just notify them 1 day b4… both of them alwaz smiling… the bbq food is also splendid… the room we booked 3 rooms (2 master bedroom & 1 dorm) that can accomodate easily 10-15persons… try to take photo nite & morning view purely superb… ohya fyi you will have full set of kitchen that ready to use seem to b u feel like at home just bring your fresh food & show the cooking talents to impress ur family & friends anyway… one thing really2 need to improve that is the road to go to Guest House a bit gruble but less than 1 minute only… for those staying there better buy anything in Pekan Kundasang in advance bcoz once you parked… you feel tired to go out there after long journey… ohya please make karaoke room… believe me it will make the guest get insane… if u able to install it mayb at your new hall there… what do u say… anyway overall recommended to stay there for all ages & type of group.

Had to take the room here as we just arrived from KK by car driving for more than 3 hours & were in no mood of searching around for other places being tired & unfamiliar with the area. A family room cost us a whopping 190RM/night. There is no lift to carry the luggage to 3rd floor. & nobody to help you! The Wi-Fi was mentioned to be available only in lobby & not in rooms but when checked, there was no internet connection even in the lobby. There is limited parking area & many cars were double parked. If the front parking is full then you have to look for a place in a steep down area at the back of hotel. The hotel is not tourist friendly. There is no information or facilities available for tourists. The girls at the reception were rude & disinterested in answering questions of the customers. When asked for a local area map, the receptionist pointed out to a photograph displayed on the wall showing places of interest in Kundasang town. The TV in the room was only showing 3 channels & remote control was dead. The door latch from inside was faulty & the other piece was missing, so the door couldn't be locked from inside! There were only 2 power points in working order. & all located at one corner. It was so cumbersome to use water boiler, phone charger & camera charger at one tiny place on the dressing table. The smoke detector was black with smoke itself & probably it was burnt already!

(20.12.16) I really love the place. Nice & strategic place for new comer like us who first time visited Kundasang. Enjoy the scenery early in the morning. I rent 2room ground floor. Best place to family who have little one. Homestay near to Kundasang town and near to Desa Dairy Farm and others homestay. Really love the place.

Over a night at 11th of September 2016, the boss was very friendly, provided us many free stuffs such as BBQ netting, charcoal, kitchen's accessories and so on, they also provides water heater and Wi-Fi, overall I really love this place, will come again next time, strongly recommend~
