A beautiful homely — home away from home environment. A touch of nature, well kept manicured lawns and gardens. World class service and a taste of superb dining and wining experience! Fair View hotel has maintained its historical place and masterpiece over the years — Since 1962!

The place has got the unique cottage experience within woods. And for someone who loves nature, I would definitely recommend the place. The service is awesome as well.

Here for a meeting. Good facilities, great food, good equipment and ambience. Staff are professional and friendly. One criticism: water is provided in 330ml bottles, which is terrible for the environment. In one day a meeting can go through over 100 bottles, which then end up thrown away.

This is a gem of a hotel and what makes the hotel great are the people. I had a very comfortable stay, the airport pickup was smooth late at night, and the gun-slinging guards in front of the Israeli embassy we're not so threatening because of the warmth of the hotel staff. Every member of the staff would behave like he or she is invested in the hotel and wants you to come back again and again and again, which I most certainly will. Whatever the management is doing, it is working, and it might be a great business school case study of how happy employees make happy customers.

What a great little hotel. I have been here for over 3 weeks and the staff, accomodations and food have been wonderful. The rooms are very clean, with daily services, free water, Wi-Fi (a bit week but sufficient) and most importantly a fantastic staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Even though it's smack in the middle of the city, when within the confines of the hotel, you will hardly notice you are right in the city. The ambience is relaxing and the environment great for working. But if there's one thing you will enjoy at Fairview is the polite and courteous service of the workers. Also, I don't know if it is just me, but I think, their beer tastes especially nice and extra cold;-)

Really a great and modern hotel lying on upper hill area and one of it's own. It's built on a five acres land and not forgetting the security within twenty four hours and it's quiet. It has been among the best hotels providing best service excellence.

Good place for conferencing and workshops. It took them abit long to prepare and serve alacarte meal, but on another day the buffet was ready in good time. Caution, they may not convert money for you into a local currency if you aren't a patron.

I have been staying here since 2009, and I love it. Clean, comfortable rooms and great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and professional. Many of my stays have ranged 3 — 4 weeks, some longer.

They have special customer service and a great selection of food. The meeting rooms too are awesome.

Nice and historic hotel in Nairobi. Beautiful setting and grounds with many gardens. Breakfast was delicious and with plenty of options. The rooms are clean and nice, but some people in our group complained that their room was too hot and I had an issue trying to get rid of moisture in the shower. It felt a bit damp. With those issues fixed it would have been a 5 star review from me.

Awsome restaurant and interesting natural environment with loads of grass and trees. Some seats are very well placed for privacy and avoiding interruptions. Definetly the place to be, for great meals and good service.

One of the oldest hotels in Nairobi. Located at Kilimani. The ambience and security is quite good. The staff is friendly.

Love it. The scenery is fresh. Nice place to go swimming, romantic dinner, getaway and simple meal or coffee.

Hotel is a bit isolated, no shops nearby, a walk into city is about 3k. I was in room 24, front of hotel, nice spacious room with lots of light. Grounds are nice, pool is inviting but not heated. Gym is well equipped albeit a bit cramped if more than 4 or 5 people in it. Restaurants are okay, good choice and competitivly priced. This is a business focused hotel so lots of workshops going on. Some good wines. Arriving by car can at times be a challenge due to high security, this is due to nearby embassies. I last visited in 2011, not a lot has changed, starting to feel tired and in need of a face lift.

Lovely & beautiful place… we seemed to be the only holidaymakers there, the rest seemed business/conference/ambassador type of people. A colonial feel. A million miles from 'real' Kenya.

Nice, quiet hotel in a good location. Getting there can be a bit tricky (security from embassy across the way can slow things down a bit) but once you're in, it's amazing. I always stay here when I go to Nairobi.

Nice safe hotel. Staff are friendly and very accommodating to needs. Rooms are large and clean. Multiple restaurants with good food. Pleasant surroundings. Only criticism is the noise from the frogs in the pond…

The staff is welcoming and Friendly was served by Simon great guy! They also let us stay at the bar long after they closed as my friend was staying there we were served drinks by the room service server.

A first view it is very good. The restaurant is perfect. I will come back to you tomorrow with other remarks if it will be possible.

Beautiful, country lodge with lovely gardens, surprisingly close to the CBD, the Fairview offers timeless charm, comfort and relaxation. One of Nairobi's oldest this place is full of character, and has good food too.

One of the best hotel in Nairobi upper hill area. Old style English building structure. Sarrounded by Lush green garden a big pool. Famous for organising training, workshop, other events. Security is the best features of the hotel.

My first hotel experience in Kenya. So spacious and nice gardens. Oh and nice foods. Just awesome!

I chose the Fairview purely for its location close to my client's office but I have to say I am delighted with the choice. The setting is very relaxing with a good selection of restaurants spread around a pleasant garden and collection of classic, colonial style buildings. For business it is perfect: the Wi-Fi signal works well all over the property, the business center has everything you need and the staff are delightfully helpful.

One of the oldest but most elegant hotel I have ever slept in. Its long history and leafy environment is worth it. But its hard on the pocket!

Have been to the restaurant for dinner with a larger group. It was very good in terms of food but also the service was exceptional. They had excellent live music too.

Terrific place to stay in Nairobi. The people at the Fairview make the difference. You will not believe how nice the people are here, so helpful so gracious. I thought I room could've used some upgrades a bit dated for the price we paid. All and all we had a wonderful experience in Nairobi and points beyond throughout Kenya.

Friendly and excellent service. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, a great place to have a meal. The Pwani Restaurant is my favourite on Sundays with Chef specials and the live band playing at sunset… just where you want be and savour the day! The rib eye comes highly recommended!

Great place for a business breakfast or lunch. The "fine dining" on the first floor was exceptional. There are many places to choose from for coffee, a bite, lunch, supper or a formal meeting — very relaxed garden setting.
