I’ve booked a buffet dinner at @crowne plaza Nairobi today for 120 people with a signed agreement. The menus looks nice and the restaurant also is nice. But what I get is we have to eat at 10th floor which is a dark old conference room. The food we got was poor as well as not enough. I was at the hotel today since 10am and no one has informed me the place of dinner has been changed. By the dinner time they told us we are going to eat there without any apologies, made us look like fools. The hotel has decided themself we are going to eat at somewhere else without any information at all. To whomever want to have a conference and dinner buffet at Nairobi not to choose crowne plaza Nairobi. You will only get disappointed!

Conducive Environment for all sorts of indoor events, professional well mannered security personnel, humble neat and very professional members of staff and the guys serving dinner were amazing. The plaza itself is very attractive and its interior design is exceptional.

Great food, clean rooms, & a friendly staff are just the beginning. Extras like a surprise note & gift for an early wedding anniversary celebration make it an extra special place with a superb attention to detail.

Ample parking. Excellent cuisines. Professional waiters. Perfect security.

Parking issues. Have a major problem parking at the Annex. Do not park there. I got late for my meeting by 1 hour. They could not locate the driver who parked and blocked the exit. Security Supervisor was not available (not picking phone) & a chef (in full uniform plus hat) eventually came to remove the car whcih apparently the owner was not there to provide an apology.
When asked for explanation the staff was mute.

Lots of parking space. Great accessibility from both private and public transport. Spacious conference rooms and utility areas. Wide variety of delicacies for both local and international guests.

This is a very nice hotel and it's located right within the airport it's good look for clients on Transit and short stays. The hotel offers complimentary airport pick-up and drop-offs at every top of the hour so the clients I never left hanging unless you want a special arrangement thicken as well do that for you. The food is amazing and they are always looking for ways to improve it. Totally love this place.

It's beautiful with suitable amenities. Very good for conferences of large groups. I recommend for all business travellers and those who want to have a refreshing experience but still within the city.

A very relaxing one night stay. Service was excellent. From the pick up at the airport to the drop off the following day, everything was catered for.

The hotel is still listed as Lazizi Premier by Google maps although it became Crowne Plaza and part of the IHG group a couple of months ago. It is an upper end hotel with excellent service and a sumptuous breakfast. A very convenient place to stay if you have a morning flight from Nairobi. Staying there will spare you a maddening trip from the city to the airport during the morning rush hour.

Severe teething problems are apparent from the recent change of Management. The hotel took over two hours to check in our group of c. 30 people. We had room mix ups all over the place, and our cards were deactivated before we checked out, causing further hassle. The buffet food was very bland, and disappointing for a hotel at this price point. Spa prices were steep compared to general Nairobi prices. The outdoor pool was not heated and therefore too cold to be of any use. This hotel has a long way to go and lots of upgrades to make before it is worth the price of staying here.

Good location. I went there for a training session. The security team and staff are all nice people and very professional. This could have been a five star rating but the lifts and connections to various floors are very complicated and annoying. Day one of training session I arrived late and got confused by the lifts because they don’t go to all floors. Day 2, I arrived early so as not to get confused by the lifts but still got lost! The staff saved me though. Food was okay though.

The best of the 3 hotels I visited while in Kenya. Very luxurious and premium looking but quite affordable. Internet is fast and super stable. Meals are awesome and they have so many cable channels to choose from. A full equiped gym, spar and pool too.

Great lobby. Nice receptionists. I got lost at the annex and the security guy escorted me back to the main entrance, that was nice. Enjoyed their internet speed, food and also some nice overviews of some nice lighted buildings at upper hill. Nice overview from the seventh floor. Will surely visit again but I hope to get more sea foods on my next visit.

I remember when Crowne Plaza was bespoke and utterly amazing. I was attending my aunt's graduation party and I was in love. As I was with Nokia, but they too were overtaken by tech and swankiness. Crowne is trying to play catch up but it's dragging its feet. Their chicken Masala and red snapper is still delicious though. And the rooms are decent. That is if you don't get lost in their maze of a hotel or get an allergy from the constant whips of cement that seem frozen in the air.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Security was thorough and well organised. Lobby quite busy ground floor washrooms not sufficient. Juice was not natural but store bought.

During my stay at Lazizi hotel last April, I thought I had lost my watch by the pool side. The security services literally moved the Earth including watching hours of security cams videos in the hope of seeing something. I consider this outstanding service! PS it is possible the hotel is now becoming « CROWNE PLAZA NAIROBI AIRPORT” (? )

This place will blow your brains away. Amazing reception n customer service, exemplary meals, superb view of the city n surrounding areas, ample parking n state of the art halls/ conference rooms. You definitely wanna try them out.

The staff there are just good. From security to every staff you meet on the way. Very respectful and very ready to assist. One security staff took us up to the lift, and in fact all the way to our meeting room. The food was on point. I loved your fish fillet. One of the best hotels in upper hill side of Nairobi. Security is always guaranteed and the service is just great. Very polite and welcoming staff too. The views from all directions are also great.

Today you guys blew my mind. Arrived in Nairobi late due to a flight delay, of course the traffic didn’t help. I set foot at the lobby at two pm totally famished and due to a meeting in Parklands an hour later. In ten minutes I had checked in to a very large suite (spire elite complimentary upgrade), handed my shirt and trousers to housekeeping (for ironing) and was ready to hit the buffet. The only problem? Your buffet was absolutely jammed packed and the lines were longer than the jams on Mombasa Rd! But here is where things got special. Lucy at the restaurant who had taken care of me several meals (this is my third stay at your hotel in 10 days) cleared a table for me and stayed there while I went to the line to grab some of your delicious food. Lucky she did because other customers were ready to take the only vacant table in the whole restaurant. I had eaten and was ready to leave the hotel 30 minutes later. In fact I am writing this from my phone on my way to the meeting. Today you really made me feel especial and valued. Does your hotel have some issues? Yes, but your staff has the right attitude and that is what you should really treasure because you can train them on the skills they need but making somebody genuinely care, that is almost impossible. In addition to Lucy I should mention Grace at the spa, your rooms division manager (her name escapes me), Stephen at the reception, Lucy (? ) the masseuse, your bellmen and the other buffet staff.

Excellent Conference services. Each conference room is well labelled with the ongoing meeting/ occupants so you can easily find your way to the right meeting room. They also have really embraced technology there and they have great, friendly and skilled receptionists and waitresses. There is also strong Wi-Fi. For the time that I was there, I ate at the Baraka Restaurant. The buffet was too good. Thumbs up!

The hotel facility is located along Kenya Road in the Upperhill area of the city of Nairobi. The environs here are ideal for conference and galas as the hotel has very modern high capacity conferencing rooms. I have been here twice and I can definitely recommend it for dinners, the restaurant is fantastic and they serve most delicacies around. Accommodation facilities are also available and a fitness centre.

Crowne Plaza is located one of the most beautiful places in Nairobi, it's also close to some of the key government miniseries headquarters. It's an upper scale 3 star hotel with elegant restaurant and very good staff. The area it's located is upper hill the only place in Nairobi were you can view the city from end to end. There are other prominent landmarks in the area such as the Radison blue, the famous Arabian cuisine and British Embassy to Kenya.

Spend a night there with my wife on our 10th anniversary. Reception was great and the rooms there are nice. Loved the breakfast too.

Came for a meeting, spacious rooms, clean washrooms, comfortable seats, sumptuous meals. You need to plan for parking, drove two times to 3rd floor parking looking for a spot. You get it, thank God. And they have lifts enough for all guests and the hotel attendees will usher you upto your room or conference hall. Great hotel,, nice view of Nairobi CBS from 14th floor restaurant.

It was so nice, services, bedroom wowo. I was in a room with one bed. It was interesting to stay out there, pool, restaurant is international. Wishes to come back. Keep up the good works, you are champions.

The place is fine but the surrounding is usually in a wanting state. There's raw sewage overflowing especially on the pool view side. They need to take care of their surrounding.

Great place for meetings in the heart of Nairobi. The food was nice too. The rooms are quite nice especially in the old wing. The only problem is accessibility due to traffic if you travel during rush hour.

Very business oriented hotel, with excellent food and service. We were able to use one of the conference rooms for a meeting and it was very well appointed. Service was exceptional and the hotel is meticulously clean. Coffee was very strong and tasty and breakfast was bountiful.

The double rooms are OK, comfortable beds. Cleanliness was generally fine but being a bit OCD, there was a stain that I found on one of the counters when I checked in and I left it there 6 days later. The food options are great for both breakfast and dinner. Most nights it was buffet unless there are not enough people and you have to order your meal Very friendly and helpful staff.

It has not been a good experience for me this time around. Although service staff are extremely corteous and ready to help I have had problems with the airconditioning and hit water in two rooms so far. On top of that, on the morning of June 9, when after taking a cold shower, I asked to be moved to another room the lady that was managing the front desk not only told me that I had to wait until late, after I returned back from my daily activities, but she was very rude and show little interest on listening to my complaint. When I came back after 9:00pm that day I found that she had not left any instructions for a new room for me. Fortunately, the front desk manager on duty that night was very understanding and quickly got me a new room which was ok until I again started having problems with the AC and hot watter. Fianlly both issues were taking care off in a very corteous and professional way by the engineer that came to look after these two issues. As I told the gentleman at the front desk, one reason why I decided to come to the Crown Plaza instead of the Radisson this time, is the gym which is much better here than there.

The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the security is conscious and makes you feel safe.

I stayed here whilst on business in Nairobi. A very nice hotel with friendly and courteous staff. The restaurant was buffet style and 'fully stocked' with a diverse array of food to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Crowne Plaza is a nice hotel, It's taking up the hospitality industry in Kenya. However the details in the map need editing. The hotel itself is off Kilimanjaro Avenue, Upper Hill and not within Uhuru Park.

The Wifi is fast but not always available… Good Dinner experience though at the Sikia Restaurant.
