Iconic and nostalgic. Reminds of the visit of the then US President Barack Obama, on his visit to his Paternal ancestral home in Kogello. Everything is perfectly excellent, the ambience is soothing and with great aesthetic value.

One of Nairobi's best hotel. Of course, there are more expensive ones. But I would never consider another one. The service is fantastic and very friendly in every regard, whether it is in the hotel, in the bar, spa, or in the restaurants. Everything here is perfect and customer orientated. They remember you even if you have been two years away and do everything to make your stay the most pleasant ever!

June 2018: Great hotel and an excellent interiors. Food is also fantastic. Reason for low rating was that they moved us to another room due to a president that arrived. Secondly we had no hot water for 3 days. I would have expected them to have fixed the issue on the second day. Despite these two issues, it is lovely hotel.

This is one high end hotel, very luxurious. The staff are pleasant, the vallet parking service is proper. There's a restaurant and bar in the building, heated pool, amazing scenery of the perfectly manicured lawns, cool ambiance around the whole hotel which is not only very well lit, it always has sophisticated music playing in the background. The food is on another level, every cuisine is represented and so is their vast array of wine collection.

Went for their Sunday brunch with my family. Food was quite good to be fair. They had lots of variety so all pallets were catered for. However, the barbecue meat (full pig roast and lamb bbq) was not tasty at all. It would be nice for them to fix this one thing. The security staff is very courteous as well as the food service. Unfortunately, front office called us later to tell us that we did not settle our bill fully. They said that we had an extra person at our table who wasn't paid for. Yet they counted how many we were as we came in. They had lots of chances to check this information before making this unfortunate allegation. Quite disappointing to be honest.

I tried the Sunday brunch at the Cafe Villa Rosa last weekend. It was spectacular. I really enjoyed the extensive cuisine choices: ranging from BBQ selections, seafood, Arab, shawarma, Asian and many more. The service was World-class! It also includes a live band. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing chilled out Sunday plan.

This is by far the best hotel in the city. From reservations, check in, to the restaurants, the service is awesome. Very helpful and willing to go an extra mile to make the customers happy. Will be back!

Had brunch at Cafe Villa Rosa with friends. The brunch was extensive, we were spoilt for choice, professional and efficient service from staff. I sure will be back to sample the other restaurants and I highly recommend Sunday brunch. It's a must try for everyone.

This is a lovely property in the heart of everything! and the best thing, the staff is super helpful, the receptionist… it was a great and comfortable place. I would recommend it to anyone.

Been a gym and spa member for some years and through the years, they have lived up to expectation. The staff at the gym and spa are very friendly yet professional, and the services are great and unique. A wide range of massage and facial services all worth the experience and the price. The gym staff are the best. They provide support and encouragement every session, and design workouts for each individual's needs and goals — this is what is called personal training in other gyms, but regular for us here. Totally the best!

The ambience is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet has got great variety and delicious dishes from across the world. The hotel is also very beautiful inside. Proper interior decision.

I haven't slept here but I have attended a couple of events in their hall rooms. The building is certainly majestic with a relaxing colours such as pink on the exterior. Services was excellent and everything seemed to work. I have only eaten buffet meals here which were actually pretty good. Overall, I think it's a good choice especially if sleeping over.

I got no enough words I will not say cause of poor english but the place is just of its kind. The interior is a classy finish the furnish is a superior touch of skill its just extra comfy extra tantalizing extra attractive extra classic extra unique. Just be here and you can describe it better yourself.

5-star hotel, as 5-star hotels should be. Great ambience, and decent restaurants too. Fun fact — Obama stayed here on his visit here. Additional tip: There are Moroccan belly dancers at the Arabian themed restaurant. Enjoy!

Very nice and elegant yet simple place. It conveys a relaxed vibe wherever you decide to hangout among its various facilities. The service is immaculate, staff is very friendly and helpful and the different dining restaurants leave no tastes unsatisfied.

This is the best hotel in Nairobi. I had been staying at another hotel previously but they did not have a reservation for me this time. My options were limited and I knew this hotel was very nice as I had had lunch there once before. Everyone will tell you how Obama stayed there. They are very proud of it! The gym is fantastic and the staff at the gym was extremely helpful and nice. They have a pool provide water have lots of very clean and functioning equipment and all the weights you would need! Who was cooking in the Chinese restaurant near the front of the hotel. He came out and personally greeted me which I thought was pretty neat. His food was epic! If you like Chinese food and he is still there be sure to check him out. I had lunch meetings at the Italian place where we had steaks. Those were fantastic as well. All in all great experience and highly recommended!

Wonderful hotel, top in the Nairobi! If you are looking for a great place to stay, if you want to be spoiled by great service, this is the hotel for you. It has great variety of restaurants with really authentic food, we visited all of them and each have dedicated chef originated from the country which restaurant represents… Not forget to mention breakfast is also superb, if the road take u there order one of the eggs specialty and you will be amazed. The concierge was also so kind to organize for us safari, drop off and helped with useful advises. Thank u Kempinski for great stay we will see you again soon:-)

I had an awesome time at this place. It is magnificent!. Plus their food is delicious. The disciplined nature of the staff and waiters/waitresses just shows how much they value their customers. To top it all they have a wine bar with an awesome selection of the finest wines from all over the world. I'd definately want to go back there❤

Nice, ambient place, easily accessible. Efficient security system. Workers generally strike a good balance of being courteous, respectful, pleasant and helpful without being overbearing. Areas to improve on: 1. Better signage in the parking lot would be useful, especially for first-timers as yellow arrows on the floor are not clearly visible. 2. There's cross-interference of noise from adjacent halls during conferences/ seminars. May be some soundproofing of the movable partitions would help.

It was my first time staying here, and for a very busy work trip. That said, the staff were friendly which was greatly appreciated. The room was spacious and comfortable too. Food was good at breakfast which is always very important to me. I look forward to visiting here again.

As good a five star restaurant as any. Their ballroom is also huge and nicely done. It's expendable such that you get the space you need for your event which is fantastic! Service is first class as would be expected.

Lucca restaurant on the ground floor not to the standard. Being part of such a big name, the food was below average. Had pasta from the menu and I was disappointed. Many better Italian joints in Nairobi.

The Spa treatment that l had was awesome, the massage was my highlight of the day! One of the best l have experienced not to mention the buffet lunch, which had quite a variety! We have been here on several occasions. Lovely place for all forms of events be it social or business. The service, meals and staff are great.

The size of the room is not to the amount paid for. They need to pull up their socks. You can not run the Hotel on the international name and not deliver high standard service. Lunch at Italy restaurant served cold and Lambchops at the Arabic restaurant was not nice at all (we had two portions). Only enjoyed the coffee shop with great German cakes. Staff very inflexible to assist on requests.

Perfect for a good nights rest, their breakfast is full of variety to choose from. Parking is adequate and security is top… Beautiful vintage theme.

The hotel rooms are clean, well mannered staff members. Menu is very limited though and dont have creamy cappuccino or with froth. Enjoyed my stay though.

On the up side, ambience and rooms were fantastic. The driver (Ben) we had from the hotel to the airport was very pleasant and helpful. Some of the hotel staff were very attentive and on point with their service. On the downside, there were no pleasant views. I was either looking at traffic from the front of the hotel or at construction from the view from my room window. Internet connection was intermittent and hardly usable and the staff seemed to hardly know what to do about it.

It was an amazing experience. The Sunday brunch at the Lucca Restaurant was so awesome, the band was on point, lovely music delivered so smoothly. Thanks to the managers Mercy and Grace for helping my husband deliver the surprise gift on my birthday. Creativity at its best. I'd definitely recommend anyone who wants to throw a surprise party for their loved ones to get in touch with them. Sunday brunch again and again.

Super luxury hotel with great service. You forget almost completely you are in the middle of the kaos of Nairobi. The service from the staff was outstanding, but I need to remark Caroline at reception: she just made our day.

Security is tight and the guards make it pleasant. The service here is excellent! Many restaurants here and the spa and gym are great places to hang out! It is in a class of its own!

“Probably the greatest hotel in Nairobi” It gives the impression that this is the greatest hotel in Nairobi but I am sure there are others as well. It is situated not very convenient for the walking through the city, if you want to. Otherwise the location is good. The room and bed is wonderful and so the service. Be prepared to pay an extra night if you come early before 8:00am and 50% if you come before 12pm. Internet connection was ok, not great, but this is expectedly to me in Africa. The breakfast is very good and diverse, the restaurant itself is so as well. The concierge can help you with the restaurants arrangements and the transportation but be prepared to pay extra as the hotel prices are higher. We were trying to get a normal taxi cab and couldn't manage that with him. But he is very polite … ;) Also be sure that your requests to the reception staff are followed, you better check daily. I had to, unfortunately…
