The ambience is first class.

The pool was super clean freshly treated and the staff are way too courteous. The food was lovely and it's location is superb especially if you have errands to run around town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Love the place but improve on your food. The chicken and meats especially are tough, too frozen and chewy.

Excellent services and a wonderful spa.

An ambient environment with staff that are professional and welcoming.

I was here for a massage. The masseuse, in my opinion is one the best in Kisumu. You have to book an appointment, her day schedule is quiet full. She is very professional with magic hands. The massage room has a shower and steam bath. The whole hotel is serene and very classy.

The serene environment coupled with friendly staff made our four day stay superb and memorable. Great place.

A very lovely chilled out place. Ambiance is super lovely and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. I loved the food. I had the opportunity to sample their buffet and I was not disappointed. The hotel is in a very great neighborhood with security offered 24 hours around the clock. My only problem with the hotel is the internet connection. The Wi-Fi is so poor to be honest. I wish more could be done in order to make the internet to be much faster.

The hotel is a peaceful, serene place, with beautiful lush gardens, and different amenities under one roof e. G they have a spa, gym, swimming pool etc.

Was here for a night and was not disappointed even one bit. Great food, clean rooms and an eyegasmic view of the city and the surroundings. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for great quality services, comfortable accomodation and strategic location. Not far from the airport and the lake. I would give it 8 stars if I could.

I love the hotel management. Every staff is friendly here starting from been ushered in from the entrance. The food is wow! n its based on a cool environment, fresh and green with even a single disturbance… Its the best hotel to be.

Poor Service, Low responses of orders, less food from exact orders made, good Ambiance and well set up.

This is the best place to enjoy a quiet time, with any form of company, its friendly for kids as well, the food is out of this world! Viva!

It was my first time in Kisumu and I chose this hotel. Room is spacious and you can get a very nice view toward Lake Victoria.

From my personal experience, I'd rate this as one of the best hotels in Kisumu. The swimming pool is awesome. And the Pizzas; I'd do them any day, any time.

This hotel is in a serene environment the architecture is very inviting and the rooms very spacious and comfortable. The food, tilapia in particular is very sumptuous.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the government buildings, the state lodge Kisumu, regional police headquarters just to name a few, making it very secure. Excellent service from the reception to the room service, gives one a choice between buffet and live cooked meals, beautiful quiet rooms and hall. Perfect get away.

This deserves a five star. Magnificent. I love the rooms especially, very spacious and organized. If you need a five star feel and treatment with a quiet environment within the lake city, then look no further.

Absolutely great hotel! Hands down the fanciest rooms I have stayed in. I love the friendly service and the newspaper in the morning was quite a unique but pleasant touch! The food is okay… nothing to write home about though. The only place for improvement is their conference facilities are quite small. Not much of a business hotel but overall… absolutely great!

The hotel is in a cool environment, management are friendly with good hospitality any time I will recommend a friend or anyone who visits kisumu is the best place to stay.

The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. We were treated very well and staff attended to our needs. And we really appreciated the service provided by the staff throughout our stay and as a result me and my wife gave very generous tips. Food was really good and the rooms were very comfy. And the environment at the Hotel is very serene and tranquil especially the bar. I enjoyed sitting there in the evening relaxing and hosting friends. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Kisumu to stay at the Sovereign Hotel. The only caveat we noticed was the weak Wi-Fi reception. Jim just needs to improve on the Wi-Fi at the Hotel and upgrade the television reception from Zuku to DSTV Satellite. I like to watch CNN when am out of the States to catch up with world events and sports.
