Cheap Hotels in Lamu

Jambo House was by far the best accommodation I had in Kenya during the entire month I spent traveling around the country.
From the moment I arrived, it felt like a home away from home.

I stayed here for a couple nights and absolutely loved it. The place has a cozy feel to it and the rooftop is relaxing.

I liked the vintage look this place has. Friendly staff, clean place, nice nearby attraction sites.

The place is nice and has a cool air especially from the trees.
It has a great ambience and it's located near the sea front.
The toilets are clean, the room is spacious enough.

Perfect location, right in the heart of Lamu Old Town, everything is within walking distance. Phillip is always around, super helpful and kind, which really makes a difference.

Good place for conference. Nice breeze direct form the ocean.

Note: there are two Stopover guest houses on Lamu Island — one in Lamu town and the other in Shela. This review is for the one in Shela.

An amazing oasis in the old town of Lamu. 4 floors including a covered rooftop patio/bar. 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms for 9 persons including 3 children was more than enough.

Jannat House is a perfectly chill oasis in the middle of sleepy Lamu Town. The architecture is great, with many breezy hang-out spaces to lay back and enjoy a cold beer.

It’s an amazing place to stay the price. I’m giving 5 stars but you should be aware there is not some of the things you might expect like air conditioning or hot shower.

The house is amazing. Can higly recommend. Good value for you money. Joshua is a wonderful host.
