It is a perfect place to stay. The family that runs it is very nice and always available. Everything is very clean and the kitchen is perfectly equipped. Hot water, good pressure, comfortable beds. I was very comfortable!

I chose this relatively recently opened hostel in Shymkent because of its location and price. It is located in the center and cost 4000 tenge. The only problem was finding the door to the courtyard, because… in the evening there is no lighting or sign: guess as best you can. The hostel is located in a private two-story house and in front of it is a large courtyard up to the gate. The owners are an elderly Kazakh couple. I don’t remember the owner’s name, but the owner has a very rare name — Sarsenkul, which means “Happy Wednesday”. Probably, the Kazakhs have names for all days of the week… The hostel is very clean, which couldn’t be happier. The room has 3 bunk beds, but there were two of us in the room. True, there are only a couple of charging sockets per room, but Shymkent is far from the Mecca of tourism, so it’s hard for me to imagine that everything will be occupied. Wi-Fi worked stably. There was no noise from the street, I sleep well here…
