Hotels in Tanabe with Parking

The Hotel feels fresh and new.
Room is cozy (small) with fresh linen and toiletries needed. Note: the reception area has accessories like toothbrush, cotton buds etc.

My wife and I were surprised by the sweet gesture during our stay. It was our honeymoon trip around Wakayama, the hotel was really a cozy, rooms were clean and spacious for Japanese standard.

A most wonderful onsen hotel. The onsen is perfect, with 2 indoor onsens, and an outdoor onsen with a Zen garden. There's a view to die for from the onsen and the rooms.

Spacious rooms, very well organized. Great large bath — onsen with outside area and magnificent view.
Delicious breakfast with a lot of options, including western food and fresh fruits.

Great value for money. Clean, modern, newish, efficient, and 5 min walk from the main train station and bus station. It was a great transit point for us before starting on the Komono Kodo trail.

No humidifier in room. Also check out at 10.
But free and decent breakfast.

We absolutely loved it here. The staff has put in so much effort to all the details, in terms of aesthetics, food, hospitality… Everyone was very friendly. We hope to be back one day 🫶

I have stayed at two other ryokans in the same area and I say unequivocably that this is the best one: the dishes are delicious and innovative; the staff esp Ryu ko san who speaks good English is a

Browsing through photos taken more than 10 years ago, guesthouse owner is friendly n thoughtful. He placed two warmer under our blanket during the chilly winter weather.

This is a small but lovely and peachfull hostel. I feel like home here and Kojisan is very kind and friendly. He speak English very well and really willing to help me everything.

I stayed here before starting my Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, I arrived a little bit late and they were still waiting for me, the person doing check in for me was so nice and kind, he also gave me

Very clean and well managed. Although the rooms are all shared, I was the only guest so I had the room by myself which was nice. There's 2 shower rooms, 2 toilets and a shared kitchen.

Beautiful rooms. Great location on the Komano Kodo pilgrimage walk. Bento box dinner and breakfast.
The check-in is a bit complicated but mostly ok. You must have a smartphone to check-in.

Lovely facility atop a hill. Warm room with good bedding. No staff on-site, but facility is well stocked. It has a washer and dryer.

I have stayed in many hotels in Japan and this is in my top five. Really top drawer in every aspect. If I had to find something to complain about, it would be the lack of restaurants in the area.

My wife and I stayed here prior to our Kumano Kodo hike. During our hike day breakfast, Yohei (one of the owners) asked about our holiday, and I told him: “It is my map’s birthday”.

Fabulous breakfast included for a budget accommodation. It was a traditional Japanese meal, generous and beautifully presented by gracious hosts. Room was clean and had all the essential amenities.

I loved my stay here. The guesthouse is simple and quite remote, but extremely peaceful, with beautiful nature all around. The room was traditional japanese style and everything was perfectly clean.

Simon is a very caring host. The room is a traditional Japanese room with a nice view. Great point to start the Komano Kodo if you are hiking!

Starting the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage being hosted by Giovanni and Yutaka is a privilege. They run a beautiful farmhouse with gorgeous sunset.

Amazing! Best meals of our trip and so cool to stay in this old Japanese home. Make sure to check out the goat farm and the sunset. Very kind hosts made you feel right at home.

I slept in the dorm which was ok. The house is well kept with shared kitchen and bathroom. A very conveniently located backpackers place for a very good price.

Excellent location, the host had me smiling and laughing. There are a couple private rooms available and a dorm. Value for money was fantastic. Definitely recommend.

Budget friendly. The private room had a squat toilet but bath is common.
No complaints for the price.
And the guy manning the reception speaks decent English.

This is an old-fashioned guesthouse. Very convenient as close to train station. The host Ken is very friendly and speaks English very well.

Rather off the beaten track. But still convenient in front of a bus stop. The nearest lawson is a 800m walk away which isn't too far.
A well preserved 100year ryokan and still a family business.

Hotel building is old and who cares. The food and service were fantastic. Found this place by chance. Very good choice. Hot water of the termal is very silky as they say. Managed very well.

My friend and I actually didn’t stay here.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! The hosts were so welcoming and attentive and made us feel right at home. The views from the rooms are to die for.

Ike San is a great host. Speaks good English and several other languages. His okonomiyagi is yummy and most order. Home cook style meals and lunch box prepared by his Okāsan is yummy too.

Wonderful stay at Chikatsuyu — totally recommended. Super easy to find after the walk and conveniently located across the bus stop. Excellent hospitality by the owner.

Good for temporary stays.
Stayed one night after travelling to Japan. Very close to the tourist center and within walking distance of many shops.

Really liked the old school feel on the minshuku I stayed at.
I think the room smelled like a KTV room (ages and ages of people smoking and odor removal spray I guess.

Think you can tell a lot about a person based on their friends and how they treat others.
