A spiritual stay and the perfect end to the Kumado Kodo trail. Incredible grounds and wonderful lodgings. Self catering in the beautiful kitchen (easy food shopping options in Kii Katsura). The temple is easily accessible by bus and taxi. The zazen meditation session and porridge breakfast made this a special and memorable experience.

We went to Japan for 2 months with my partner, staying in approximately 20 accommodations, and this was definitely one of the best. The location is beautiful, in a natural and traditional Japanese setting. The rooms are very comfortable. The temple and gardens are beautiful. An excellent place for people who want to be in touch with Japanese culture and traditions. From this place, we went to Nachi Waterfall and its surroundings without any problems. We traveled from Osaka by train and always moved around by public transportation without any issues. Tomy is a great person; we did meditation with him, and he explained and showed us many aspects of life in Zen Buddhist temples. He even lent us some bikes to get to the village a bit faster. A great experience; we would return without hesitation.
