During my recent visit to Japan, I had the pleasure of staying at Minshuku Takiyoshi for two nights. The accommodations were exceptionally clean, and the cuisine was outstanding.

Super nice place to stay in Yunomine onsen with great access to the Kumano Kodo hiking trails and beautiful nature. The staff is overwhelmingly nice and really helped us to have a perfect stay.

Dude if I could put 10 stars on service I would. Genuinely some of the nicest and most helpful amazing blessed people I’ve ever known.

What a special family-run resting spot. We had finished a rainy, adventurous day on the Kumano Kodo and arrived soaking wet and cold.

This is located about 7 minutes walk from the main town. A bus stop is just a minute from the from door. Amazing food and perfect onsen water quality. They gave both indoor and outdoor onsen pools.

The hotel is not new but it's beautiful. It has great private and public onsen free of charge. The dinner experience is amazing. Breakfast is only japanese style, so you will not get coffee 😜

This is one of the famous onsen hotels within the vicinity of Kumano Hongji area, it is ideal for pre-hike stay for preparation/familiarization of the area or a post-hike relaxation to wrap the hike.

Dinner & breakfast (hot buffet style) are super exquisite, plus excellent service.

While walking the Kumano Kodo trail, this became my lodging after the longest day of the hike. I was very lucky. Adumaya is a 300+ year old hotel from the end of the Edo Period.

It was a miracle this place had an available room late at night because I could not enter my campsite after 7pm. The hostess welcomed me personally and was extremely helpful despite my late arrival.

The owner is very nice, and we communicate through a translation app. She is very helpful and even helped me when I needed luggage delivery service to Katsuura.

Family onsen room very good. Food are delicious 😋. Room is quite, big and clean. Staff are helpful and willing to use English and phone translator to serve us.

You may be wondering why this hotel rates so highly given the rooms are very typical. I have now tried Yunomine's Aduyama, Kawayu's Midoriya, and this one. All have unique highlights.

I didn’t stay there but we took the optional tour from this location. Our guide was a local and very knowledgable for this area.

The room was so spacious for 2 of us. It fits 2 beds, 1 tatami room, closet and all. Huge! It has both public/private onsens with open/indoor space.

One month later I was still remembering this hotel and I came here to pubish a review.

This hostel is incredible for the price. 3 private onsens available and the accommodation is impeccable. Porridge is provided in the mornings and bedding also.

This is a convenient hostel in Yunomine Onsen. The staff are helpful and gave us valuable recommendations for the pilgrimage.
The establishment has got three baths with onsen water.

Stayed here with my husband and a friend on September 8. Fantastic hot springs, comfortable rooms, delicious meals.

We stayed here one night as part of our Kumano Kodo trek, and it was one of our favourite stays. As others have said, it's a slightly older hotel, but the amenities and staff were all great!

I highly recommend this hotel. The location is great, only 2 min walk from the bus station and right beside the river with 2 outdoor spring pools.
